Came in with a friend who brews beer and got a nice little tour of the place. The owner is very nice and friendly and happy to show us around and give tips. The facility is super clean and well maintained. I hate knowing this, but not all places keep themselves so clean and well maintained. Immaculate. Well stocked. Where you definitely want to come to get your beer supplies. You can also get your Sodastream canisters refilled here. They will actually refill them rather than give you pre-done ones (which never seem to have the full capacity as when new). And it's cheaper. So happy to have found this place! PS. The sweetest golden retriever will not bother you unless you want some doggy love and he'll let you pet him and do tricks for you. What a treat to have such a great store in Milwaukee! The malt room is clean and modern, with every malt I've wanted. Great selection of hops and yeast, even soda extracts...a keg of Sprecher Root Beer has been a hit with the kids (and their rents!). Happy to not have to rely on shipping for my supplies. read more

Super glad to have a local home brewing supply store open in the Milwaukee / Waukesha area. TrueBru has an amazing selection of malts, hops and yeast available and fair pricing. The store is clean and well stocked with most anything you would need for a successful brew day. I no longer have to plan way ahead and pay expensive shipping charges when missing an ingredient or two. Appreciate the equivalent malt chart in the grain room detailing malt substitutions and specific naming used by the different grain manufactures. Very friendly owners and comfortable atmosphere. TrueBru will definitely be my go-to store for brewing ingredients and supplies. read more
