The tree was dangerously hanging over my house and my neighbor's house and had dropped a limb literally one day after the last tree trimmer "made it safe". It was an insurance claim waiting to happen. I was quoted $1500 to trim it back to where I requested, which I agreed to, and they got me on the schedule shortly thereafter. They spent the last 9 hours at my house and it looks so much safer now! In fact, when they had cut it back to where we previously agreed one branch was still hollowed out so I requested they cut off some more. They could have said "no" and driven off, but they broke out the chainsaw they had just put away and got back in the bucket lift. When they were all done, they blew off the leaves and sawdust from my rooftop and gutters, raked my lawn, and they even help out a local family by giving them the wood they cut up. When all was said and done I did end up paying an extra $500 for the extra work, but that was entirely by my request and they most definitely earned it. Hired Elite Restoration in Pocatello, ID to complete remediation and remodel after an in-home…read moreflood. Though they completed remediation, they failed to complete remodel work and have refused to acknowledge Homeowners' existence or issue refund for 9 months. In short detail: After claiming remodel would take one month to complete sans any delays from outside contractors, Elite was only on-site three days during the first three weeks. They failed to cover any furniture despite assurances before work began and discussion after work began, placed screws on furniture and boxes on screws, damaging personal belongings, performed poor quality work that required demo and redo by alternate contractor, promised to be onsite every day until the job was complete after Homeowners' multiple complaints and still no-showed, and then told Homeowners Carpet One was unable to install carpet for one month so the job would be further delayed. Upon Homeowner's call to Carpet One, they were able to install carpet within two days. When Homeowners called Elite Restoration to discuss this discrepancy, Tim Fries, at Elite, said "I don't have to deal with this. We're walking off the job." Elite has refused to respond to emails or phone calls despite Homeowners' outreach to all levels of management and desire to settle matters outside of court. Without response and/or refund of $10,000 for poor quality work requiring repair and work not completed, Homeowner is now left to sue.
