Probably the best gym I've ever visited. I used to be a member here, but the cost is very high…read morecompared to local competitors so I switched elsewhere. Wish I could still afford this gym. The equipment is of the highest standard. The cardio equipment has built in screens with access to radio stations and freeview TV. Just need to bring your own earphones. Makes the workout just fly by! Staff are constantly cleaning the facilities. Never seen such diligence in gym staff before or since. The pool is large, clean and very well staffed. There's also a children's pool, and a jacuzzi (adults only). There is a nice cafe within the gym which has comfortable seating, TV's showing Sky Sports on one side and a TV showing children's TV near a kids play area. There's also outside seating. Bottom line - if you want the finest facilities and can afford it then this is the place.

The fanciest, most mediocre gym in Peteroborough. It's not…read morereally a gym, it's a fitness club, and if you know what you're doing and you are able to use the full potential of what they got there, you're not really welcome. If you are willing to pay £20+ for a PT session, only then they will roll a red carpet for you and give you some decent customer service, and tell you exactly what you want to hear, show you couple fancy exercises and teach you no technique, just so you keep coming, because you won't get any results. Fitness industry, right? 6 plates of each weight plate and 2 olympic bars, 1[!!] squatting rack which works as the only spot to do your bench presses as well[!!] besides 1 smith machine...good luck waiting for the right poundage if you lift heavy, and if you do: they heaviest barbells are 30kg... The only good thing about that place is a really awesome air con that can cope with the crowd of hundreds of gym rats, yeah, they get so crowded...few hundred of members + wide abuse of sharing PIN codes.
I got this e-mail about some crap about a 'bundle' package. This package will be an increase to…read more£25.99 (if done before the end of this year), and will supposedly allow members the use two of branches elsewhere in the UK, as opposed to an increase to £29.99 which will be automatic from 01.01.17). Lovely. I work in London, and there's one right next to the town hall in Wandsworth, where I work. I was going to pick Wandsworth and some other branch elsewhere. I screeched to a halt when just before checkout, I noticed that I would have to pay a 'joining fee' of £20.00, in order for this bundle to be processed. Now why would any sane human being pay a joining fee (of any amount) at a gym they've been a member of since it opened, nearly 4 years ago? What sh!t is that?

A great place for baby courses we've done both baby massage and baby swimming (0-3 months), and…read moreboth were excellent. The swimming classes take place in the heated pool, under very knowledgeable instruction, and last 20 mins each sounds short, but it is plenty for the tiny bubs. Baby massage classes are an hour, and there's always time, space and opportunity to socialise with other mums after class. Biscuits and hot and cold drinks are offered. Great atmosphere! Apparently, a cafe will open there soon, so this will be a great place for mums and their little ones (dads are of course welcome!). The only negative point: the changing rooms at the pool were supposed to be heated but always felt too cool for the little ones not good after swimming. Only four stars then, but a great place to which we will return!

I used the cardio machines, the pools, the sauna and steam room during my free trial. The pool was warm and clean, and was pretty quiet whenever I went there. The cardio machines were good, but some of the bikes didn't work properly which is annoying. I liked the changing areas and the showers, nice and warm and very clean throughout. I'd love to join, but £51 a month off-peak is too much for me at the moment.
