My experience with Truly Scrumptious might be a little bit different than the other reviewers' because I purchase the gourmet food products, on a fairly regular basis. It all started with the hot pepper jelly (a southern favorite). I paired it with pigs in a blanket for a work potluck over a year ago and everyone STILL talks about it! I buy the bacon jam and lemon curd for my own consumption, but this year I thought it might make a good gift for my team mates since I just started working with them. They were a big hit and even my boss's boss was impressed! I can't recommend the food products enough if you like to give locally sourced goods. They're the perfect addition to any gift basket and the seasonal variety ensures you won't have to give the same gift twice (though the recipient will certainly ask for more!). Oh and if you have someone in mind who has a restrictive diet, you don't have to worry about GMOs, HFCorn Syrup, or other additives. Chef Michael Mann is truly special. I had the pleasure of working for him at one of his events and was continuously stunned at not only his incredible ability in the kitchen, but also the grace with which he treated everyone. From the many children of guests who wanted to cook with him, transforming the meal prep into an impromptu cooking class for 6 little ones, to his humility in handling the impatience of the only grumpy guest. He regarded everyone as more important than himself, including his staff. This is the attitude that inevitably leads one to greatness, phenomenal success and the respect of many. Wow...I kept trying to figure out if the food tasted as good as it looked... or looked as good as it tasted!?!? Chef Mann catered my daughter's wedding and we could not have been happier! Michael and his staff were everything we could have hoped for. They were professionals (both in mannerisms and appearances), the food was simply perfect from the beautiful appetizer platters to the main course and side dishes...it all tasted and looked "scrumptious'! He was fun to deal with in creating the menu and managed to give us everything we wanted...within our budget even! I have known Michael for about a year now and he is a pleasure to work with. He has done several different events for my organization and it has been a wonderful experience. Chef Michael Mann catered a Chamber Business After Hours event for my employer. We had a turnout of between 50-60. When I contacted him, he was quick to respond. We planned the event much in advance and he did a spectacular job helping us with the menu as well as the layout and placement of the food to help us showcase our new building.
