I do not recommend Taylor Law. I had a very bad experience where the attorney I hired was very…read moreinexperienced and lost every attempt to defend my company. Attorney A.J. was unable to obtain discovery, had a subpoena that he said was discoverable "quashed", lost an attempt to prevent me from having to do two separate depositions (something that nobody at his firm had heard of) and relied on 11 other people (in and out of his office) to bill me for as much time as possible. My retainer for $5k was exhausted within days of my first deposit. My final bill was over $100k and I believe not only was I over-billed, but they even billed me for other peoples cases by mistake on multiple occasions. I tried to discuss these issues with the owner but he refused any attempt to reconcile, was rude, and only cares about money. I believe this to be a violation of business ethics and a lack of integrity. In the end my defense was lost by my attorney on a matter of $31k and I was awarded $80k attorneys fees for the plaintiffs for what I believe was a very strong case in defense of a construction contract. My attorney didn't even represent me and some other person who I have never spoken with M.R. Attended the hearing yet the paralegal was clueless as to any details of whether oral arguments were heard and then the owner claims he attended, but somehow M.R. Billed me for this. I believe this is neglect and malpractice, and violates my contract agreement. The end result is that I paid Taylor Law $40k to end up owing more than $170k. I would never recommend this firm to anyone and I am filing my grievance with the Idaho State Bar to discuss the issues with this company and it's over billing practices, as well as looking into disciplinary action for violating the Idaho Rules of Conduct.

My son is a severe alcoholic. I was out of town for work. I was making my son go to therapy to be…read moreable to live with me. We did nightly calls; Check ins if I was working. He didn't answer one night, and I asked my sister to go check on him. I said I would leave my work immediately and come home if he had relapsed. She found him passed out on the floor of our home, left him, and didn't come back. She said I was overreacting and that she would make sure he got to therapy the following day. Again, she never returned. He got arrested for alcohol related charges the next day. I got him a lawyer. My sister didn't like my lawyer. She always interferes, oversteps and enables. Guilt ridden, she started throwing money at him. I said don't bail him out, I want him to learn a lesson and she did. She brought him to her house and gave him an expensive large truck. I got him not one, but two attorneys, both stating that some of his charges were illegitimate. They would fight for him. The victim didn't show up for trial. My primary attorney had them drop the case. My sister was upset and said he should take a plea deal when the prosecutor chose to appeal. She intentionally scared him and said that he needed to use her attorney, Jared Martin. My other attorneys wanted to run the case the exact opposite of Jared. One of them represents the police, with senior tenor. I was told Jared is a "lead 'em and bleed 'em." He will say he is going to fight for you, but he is really working with the prosecutor with intention to force you into a plea the week before trial. That is literally what happened. When my son was released, we were not in a good place. I was very upset with him and he was ashamed. My sister threw more money at him. He knew he would be made to do therapy 2x a week at my house and I wasn't offering a big, fancy truck with all of the spoiling. They were not supposed to have alcohol in the house and there was. Both my nephew and my son admitted this. He relapsed repeatedly. Then, her kids BOTH got felonies! While they were sober! At that point, it was illegal to keep my son there. They all lied and hid this from everyone. My question is, who REPRESENTED her kids? Jared? He would have known that my son was no longer legally able to stay there. With zero accountability, being exposed to alcohol, no treatment; He got drunk at her place, took off with the expensive, fancy truck she gave him, tried to evade police, wrecked the truck and resisted arrest. My son needed in-patient therapy, he needed his mother. At his court appearance, Jared bad mouthed me and said that my son chose his actions due to my bad parenting. He blamed me for my son's actions after having been at my sister's house living with freshly convicted felons. THAT was his actual defense argument. The judge rejected this premise entirely. He threw the book at my son. My son got sentenced to 5 years in prison. Jared has a monetized incentive to play interference and enable my sister's disgusting behavior. This man is a pathetic excuse of a human being. Please do not hire this man, he is willing to be manipulative for money, partaking in the destruction of families.
