We worked with Joanne for well over a year only to find out that we would not be unable to get a…read moremortgage for the home we wanted because it was a double wide trailer.... That was a question that was NEVER asked by Joanne, and we had no idea to would be an issue because we have never tried to buy a home before and were relying on her expertise. We lost over $8000 because we paid for all the engineers and estimates that Joanne told us we needed. That's $8000 we can never get back OR use toward another purchase or build...... The real punch in the gut?? When we were treated as if this was something we should have known or disclosed and it was OUR fault. We handed over everything they asked for, filled out all the paper work asked, did EVERYTHING they asked us to, only to have them treat us as if WE did something wrong. The only thing we did wrong was relying on this company. OH! And let's not forget the bill we later received from them....... even though we couldn't obtain a mortgage to buy/renovate our home...... and were already out over 8 grand......real nice..... my recommendation? Go somewhere else. They were very nice at first..... until things went wrong.

I have called them multiple times and talked to multiple people, all to no avail, as has my husband. So getting the loan may be easy, but it may not be a loan you want!

My son started over 3 months ago , got approved for a over $100,000 loan on property, payed more…read morethan $500 on loan pre approval, appreaisal fees, got all checked out and all paperwork set, all excited to buy first ever home, ( he is only 22 years old) doing everything him self. Bam 3 days before closing the come up with no lender because they (Laura) out of Saratoga NY branch messed up, no loan, no home, not give back any money he put out and messed up tje buy, seller, and attorney all screwed out of there money and screwed my son out of a house and 3 months waiting and money? WTF don't use homestead funding, big f ing rip offs and she never called corp. she lie all the time. rip off rip off ruin lives and lie. dont trust them....3 days before closing ruin peoples lives because they (her) messed up and dont care. The staff is super friendly and it's good to see the same faces on the teller line in an industry with a high turnover. I used the ATM and I feel that it is a little inconvenient to use it from the car compared to other ATMs due to the posts protecting the ATM. My rating is for the staff at the branch for providing outstanding service.
