Great store but hours on this information page stated incorrectly: Open Monday-Saturday from 9 am to 5 pm; closed on Sundays.

They look BRAND NEW! I found some nice things today as well. For instance a nice dressy top with the tags still on for $40, I snagged for $3.99. All employees were helpful and friendly. The main negative is that this place is DIRTY. I tried on some yoga pants and they got so dusty just from touching the floor. Plus, there was a huge spider web in the corner of the ceiling of the changing room with a GIANT spider in it. (EEK!) Also, my one daughter was laying in the floor (I know, blah) and playing with a toy and was COATED in dust and dirt. This isn't a huge Goodwill location. There is only 1 small changing room in this location. A woman in front of me brought in about 20+ items and I had 2. A worker actually knocked on the door and asked her if she minded letting me jump in there to try on my 2. That was nice but a little weird too. All in all, Goodwill shopping is always an experience. Some days you get tons of awesome finds, others you don't find anything. New items all the time so it's worth visiting often.

Update 3.13.23 Im very fortunate to have a neighbor who…read morehappens to be a guru on the engine type installed in my FJ40. He and I are getting the problem fixed (I'm definitely the "apprentice"...but need as much knowledge about this vehicle as possible). My neighbor diagnosed the problem, we've replaced the camshaft, distributor, various gaskets, etc, etc. A little more to do, but should (hopefully) be back on the road with a few more hours of work. The previous owner (I assume) installed the timing gear backwards which caused the camshaft and the distributor gear to grind each other down. Was it coincidence vehicle failed so soon after driving it? Who knows.... A VERY involved inspection would have been needed by Vintage Motors to identify it on this ...as I now realize. That could be a big hit to profitability....and no small business would survive very long operating at a loss. Had I hired my own mechanic to examine prior to purchase, I'm doubtful this would have been identified. I think when buying a restored vehicle, while I agree its a good idea to hire a SKILLED 3rd party mechanic to give his/her blessing....unless your crystal ball says otherwise, expect to have problems. If you're a newb like me, find some resources that know the vehicle well, and learn from them. Original Post: I tend to post positive reviews; but I feel obligated to post this so people understand not every transaction with Vintage (or any company) goes well. On 2/3 I bought a '73 FJ40 for $30k. No isssues on test drive (though very weird the salesman drove the whole time; I wasnt given the chance) . Yet, No major concerns. Delievered to me on Tuesday 2/7; It was very slow starting. The delivery driver claimed ignorance. On 2/7 and 2/8 I drove 2 times under 10 miles. on 2/9 i drove 11 miles away and the trouble began. On the way home, doing approx 60-65 mph the car started backfiring, then stalled and would not restart so I pulled over. Highway Patrol showed up and got me a tow ($400 for 5 miles) and the vehicle has not run since. Initially, the dealer seemed willing to help. That willingness seems to have eroded over the past week. They've provided zero help, suggestions (or anything really) despite a 2 page description of the events including photos of what my mechanical resource discovered. No clarifying questions or reply to the summary at all from them. Seems they're falling back on "you signed away your rights" . If this happened after driving it for 3-6 months (not 3 days), I'd chalk it up to buying a '73. Vintage has made zero suggestions, provided zero support, didnt offer anything for the hassle and time spent diagnosing, or even the $400 tow. They denied doing work, but it seems they did and something was done wrong. Perhaps they've washed their hands because they got their $$. Never again with Vintage, and make sure to tell you friends.

There's been a lot of talk about Trosa Thrift store around town lately. I've seen it all over…read moresocial media so a friend and I decided to check it out on a Friday afternoon. Trosa is located on Peters Creek Hwy in the Food Lion strip center at the Clemmonsville exit. It's easy to get to and there's plenty of parking which I love. Right inside the door is their whole furniture section, they have tons of tables, chairs, dressers , etc. they even have a whole section of office specific furniture. The prices are very reasonable. This would be a furniture flippers paradise. Towards the back they have shelves of everything from pillows to whole sets of dishes, sports equipment and the most medical mobility equipment I've ever seen anywhere. I'd say, if you are in need of a walker, a bath seat or portable toilet for someone look here because they probably have it at a fraction of the cost it would be to purchase new or rent. The clothing is grouped all together but they aren't keeping it organized as well as it needs to be. All different sizes were mixed in together and I quickly got frustrated and gave up. Both of us had found an item in the kitchen area we wanted so we headed to check out. The workers were very friendly as well. I'll definitely be checking out Trosa regularly in the future. Trosa supports substance abuse treatment. If you want to donate to them, they offer pick up for larger items or you can bring your items to their donation drop off around the back of the store. Just follow the signs.
