Horrible experience. My kids and I were in there looking and was going to buy several items and a white short woman with glasses with short blonde hair said that you aren't allowed to have any drinks. Okay I understand. I had a sweet tea I got from dunken donuts that I haven't even took a drink out of. I had to carry it in there bc it was way too hot outside. She wouldn't even let me put the tea on the counter so I can finish shopping ( most of the time that's what those stores do) I said that is fine you just lost a big sale. We were going to buy oakley glasses and all. She said she did not care it wasn't her store. The other workers seen me and seen I wasn't drinking it and didn't care at all. We prob would have spent around $1000 in there tonight bc 3 of the boys were going to buy glasses and some local boy clothes. Awful experience. So instead we went to another one down the road and they were happy to have our sale. read more

They put their hermit crabs in horrid living conditions. Despite trying to inform the manager they insisted that hermit crabs (that live in tide pools IN water) do not in fact need water, sand, nor shelter to survive. It's not difficult to keep them healthy and happy or at least stop selling hermit crabs if you put them in these conditions. read more

My teenaged son and his three friends were shopping here today and the foreign manager was rude to them from the moment they walked in. He yelled at them as they shopped and falsely accused them of stealing, screaming at them to empty their pockets as he called the police. And this is after my son had made a purchase. He bullied them because they were teenagers, saying merely that, "they look suspicious." He was aggressive, scary, and rude. Absolutely no respect for the hermit crabs. The paint irritates the skin and would get them killed in the wild, there was no sand or water in their enclosure, and they had nowhere to hide other than their shells, which is unnatural for them. Please do better. read more

Love this store but it says on google maps it takes Apple Pay and it does not. So I shopped for 30 mins and then was embarrassed that I had to leave because I literally stopped there because I left my card at home. Maybe they should fix that. read more

This was the first stop on our list because my older 2 girls had gotten great bathing suits there 4 years ago. We walked in quickly and found what we wanted in regards to bathing suits. We grabbed a few sizes and went to try them on only to find fitting rooms locked. Walked to the front to ask for a key or assistance ( 2 associates outside smoking but we did find one hidden in a corner) For access and we were told "oh there is one open". Thinking we had missed it we said "oh ok, we must have missed that one" and walked to the back (associate claims she told us there would be someone to help us in a minute but she did not) Got back there yet again and tried them all again. at this point my 10 year old Just wanted to try on a few suits for sizes so I suggested she just "shimmy under the door" to speed up the process rather than once again asking for help (which we had done). So she did she tried on 2 swimsuits when finally someone waltzed back with a "did you need help" where I jokingly said "hahaha, no. She just shimmied under the door. Hope that's okay". Where I was met with "not really but whatever". Obviously rude but whatever. I did let her know we had sought out help with no success and had taken matters into our own hands. Also there seemed to be 5 total customers in the store (3 of them being my girls and me). We move on as my 10 year old works towards a good fit, my 15 year old has a few items, my 13 year old has a few items and I'm shopping for a pair of swim trunks for my 8 year old boy and some suits for his twin sister. At this point I'm sure we are nearing $200 worth of merchandise. We remained close so I could approve my 10 year olds Suit, i ask the associate who now wants to help us if she had a particular pattern of boys suits which I got a super helpful "u dunno". That's fine, I put It back so we can try a different store tomorrow annoyed with the cruddy service but it's whatever I managed multiple tourist shops back in college (though I would have on the spot termed anyone who even remotely resembled the cruddy service we encountered). My 10 yo finds the suit and as we are walking up to her to confirm she's good hear the"manager" (though everyone knows no true manager works at 9 pm on a Friday night) tell the associate "we can and should call the police on anyone going under the dressing room door" as we are standing right there. I will own that my 15 year old girls got snotty (though deserved after the shitty service so far) but in over 15 years of managing a retail store (as a qualified manager not just the oldest person willing to work there) and an additional 10 years in customer service and retail management in the contact center industry I was horrified by the way we were spoken to. She told us that we could leave or "be escorted out by police". I confirmed there is no "breaking an entry" law for dressing rooms (imagine our surprise). She treated us like trash where even if she wouldn't have asked us to leave I would not have given them a cent. Even after saying "hey the kid you are talking trash to is 15" she told me because I (the parent) was there she could talk to MY child however she wanted to. We even went across the street after leaving our merchandise, to Beach Life. Where a super sweet girl was so apologetic. Said it happens all the time and tried to find the owners info for us. We were an easy tourist sale. A bathing suit, some tshirts, a few necklaces would have been a couple hundred bucks sale for them, we were instead treated like crap due to an under qualified "manager" and her minions. I know retail, customer service and sales quotas and know what happened to us was crappy. Had a "manager" actually been doing her job from the beginning there would have been someone staffed at the dressing rooms. A lack of management and planning should not be an issue for customer. I'm sorry the "manager" is under qualified with appropriately staffing her store but that is not my problem as a consumer. This location is a sorry excuse for service. read more

While it is the store owners prerogative to sell whatever they want they could have at least had a display of Joe Biden merchandise. Generally I love shopping here. I get most of my summer clothes from this store specifically. I've always gotten my bathing suits here because they have sizes that fit me that most places don't. I even bring my friends when they come in town to visit because it's a great tourist location to shop. Tonight I pulled in and there was a sign on the door saying " back in five minutes". I stood outside for approximately 20 minutes in 45° weather before I called and the gentleman that answered the phone said he'd come unlock the door. Five minutes later, no one came so I left. Now I know why the parking lot was completely empty when I pulled in. That must've been a really long bathroom break or whatever. read more

Ive found the prices here are cheaper than the competition and seems I can find some better quality stuff here too.. Pleasantly surprised--not like the other junky souvenir stores all up and down HWY 17. The carry huge selection of name brand board shorts & name brand footwear, in addition to their own store brand apparel that was reasonably priced & nicely styled. Don't buy anything from this place! I purchased a pair of $205.00 pair of Oakley sunglasses. I noticed some scratches on the lenses after a few days and took them back in. I went back to the store to see if I could return and repurchase the clothes so I could use the coupon and they wouldn't honor it. I was very disappointed. Manager was very rude, insinuated I was a liar and refused an even exchange. I spent more than 200$ at the Garden City store during a trip on 4/15/17. Needed a larger size Reef flip flop for my son so went to exchange them when we got back to the beach on 6/4/17. The manager initially thought I was trying to exchange shoes from 2015... Not sure why. So when I was able to get him to actually relook at my receipt he realized it was actually about 45 days ago but srill refused to exchange them (never worn, tags still on) because he said it had been too long (although there was no published time limit on the receipt or in the store nor could he tell me the time limit he had in mind.) He also didn't like that I had picked the sticker price tag off the cardboard tag (since I was giving the shoes as a gift) although he could have very easily put a new sticker on. I just wanted an even exchange for the next size up. Very disappointing experience. I am now stuck with a pair of shoes that is too small for my child and have to buy another pair. Any other store would have agreed on an even exchange for an unworn pair of shoes accompanied by a receipt from 45 days ago. There are so many other retailers and I will be sure to shop anywhere but here in the future and will also inform all my family, friends and social media contacts about this unpleasant experience. read more

Some of the rudest people I've ever come encounter with. They left a security tag on a shirt that I bought, and then proceeded to yell at me when I took it back because I could not find the receipt. Which also wasn't even a legible receipt in the first place.. It was one of the small ones with no actual purpose. Definitely would not recommend. read more
