It started off good since the young man who assisted us was quick and helpful however, he had to leave abruptly before he could check us out. As we were handed over to his coworker, the guy looked like he didn't even want to be there or even know what he was doing and took forever. I have never been a patron of the Men's Wearhouse so not sure if my experience was typical. I visited yesterday to purchase an inexpensive tuxedo for one of my sons. We arrived to a generally active store and immediately found the tuxedo section. The price point was right since everything seemed inexpensive. We were fine with self service initially since we knew the sizes and style we wanted. We were eventually approached by a much older gentleman that was not very warm in his greeting. Nor did his attire appear to be anything purchased at Men's Wearhouse or any other store in the last 30-years. He was pushy and insistent that a tuxedo jacket with sleeves that stopped almost at my sons elbows was appropriate. I reiterated to him several times we were fine on our own. He eventually left which offered us the opportunity to exit the Men's Wearhouse quickly. We immediately drove two hours to find exactly what we wanted in a tuxedo and service with another retailer. read more

Wait time was ridiculous for an appointment for my fiancé to try on tuxes for our wedding. We had a new guy that rushed us and didn't even look like he knew what he was doing. We asked to see another color and he said they don't have any and are limited options to so many things. While we were waiting for 45 minutes we watched other people try on multiple different tuxes and colors. He told us he gets off In 15 minutes and he would be wrote up if he's past time. Beware Purchased a custom made suit for my son's wedding. The final fitting it didn't fit. The rushed it out to be fixed and when it came back in it fit but was tight and had to make do since there was no time to fix it. What we should have been told was they would make him another after the wedding because when we adjusted it we used all the extra material left in the suit. We were not told that it was left for us to figure out later down the road. When we bought the suit we were told when they make the suits the have extra material so they can be adjusted if we gain a few pounds. My son took the suit back in 7-8 month later to have it adjusted and was told there is no extra material nothing we can do with it. Now my son thought since I purchased it I would have to have it fixed said nothing to me put it in his closet and a year later when he needed the suit then said to me it didn't fit and they told him there was nothing they could do. I have made a 2 hour trip to Columbia to be told they would send it to back to Myrtle beach for them to deal with it. My son made an appointment for the expert tailor to be there and when he showed for the appointment the tailor wasn't there. Once again my son goes back today to be told again nothing they can do he needed to buy another suit. The original suit purchase never fit from day 1 and they knew it and have given us the run around so long now they are saying it's been to long. I have called corporate and being told that it's custom and it's the stores decision and so now I'm stuck with a suit that don't fit and never has. I have also reported to the better business bureau. I just want a suit that fits and can be adjusted!! read more

Went in for a suit for an upcoming wedding. The Myrtle beach location did not have the size in store but agreed to order it. I confirmed multiple that the suit with alterations would need to be ready by a certain date. The sales associate assured me no fewer than 8 times. The week the suit was to be delivered to the store for alterations, we made numerous phone calls only to learn the suit was not there. The suit arrived weeks after the event it was intended for. No service calls and no reasons given for the delay. Please do not trust this location with your special occasion, they prove themselves untrustworthy. read more

I bought a custom suit in Fayetteville. Around 900 of clothes My suit didnt fit and was made in china all custom work. Later I found a torn stitch . ALEISHA at the MYRTLE BEach got it repaird quickly for me. Otherwise I had 3 visits and could not get into the store.. Piss poor masking push holding off customers.. I was very happy I was able to arrange for a tuxedo rental with short notice. The staff at the store was helpful at both, my initial visit & at pickup time. The ability to look online as well was helpful. The store hours closing worked out for me especially since I work rather late. Walked in prepared to purchase some linen pants for my upcoming cruise. Lady asked me if i needed anything. I told her I was looking for some casual pants. She pointed me in the direction of the folded pants on a shelf and promptly ignored me. Walked out 1 minute later without making any purchase. I wanted to drop $300-$500 on the nicer clothes they typically carry, and wanted help doing so. I won't be back unless I have to go. Edit: from 1-star to 4-star. Decided to go back because I knew they had the right pants for me. Alecia helped me and was AMAZING. Turns out she's the manager and I informed her of the issue that I'd had with the previous sales person. She was thankful for the information and promised to fix it. Let me save you some time. Do not rely on their policies. 15 hours prior a wedding the dress for the groom and court are not ready. The staff (a lady working there) is super disrespectful. How come you don't have the dresses ready 15 hours prior the event? This place is extremely expensive, very bad at customer service and horrible at fitting people. I'm 100% sure that Macy's has better deals or Walmart has better customer service. I can't describe the level of incompetence this place shows its customers! read more

My son went and tried on tux for his wedding when they called him and told him it was ready, it fit perfectly, we asked if they could keep it for the two weeks until the wedding and would pick up w other guys suits day before wedding. Well.. seems it was a different suit he received.. jacket too short and small and pants were about and inch and half too short. $3,000 for a photographer and the pictures are terrible because of the grooms tuxedo.. I showed them pictures when we returned the suits.. all they would refund us was 1/2. When we asked if they could hold it until wedding we should have been advised that there was a chance it would be a different suit. Terribly disappointed. Will never ever go there again and will advise others as well.. read more

Bad experience. First I had no clue you had to sign in. Didn't know until 30-35 mins after I was there. Then I signed in and waited my turn. I noticed all the sales associates took care of the person or group until they was completely finished. I thought well that's good, well it was that way until it become my turn, I put my pants and shirt on in the dressing room, and while I was in there he said I will be back in one minute, I figured he was going to the restroom or something. I get everything on, walk out and wait and wait. Come to find out he's waiting on other customers, I thought how rude. But I was almost finished, so I figured I would just wait it out. But after about 10 mins of me standing there, I figured he was going to completely take care of the other customer first. And at this point I had been there well over an hour actually almost two hours So, I shut the dressing room door. Put my clothes back on , left everything else in dressing room and walked out. Walked right past him as I was leaving, he seen me, but never said a word. If he had, I would have told him why in a nice low voice way. But it seemed he didn't care. First time in men's warehouse in my life, and such a bad experience, if I hadn't had got him and got someone else, it would have probably been a lot better. This was my first time buying a tux and a suit. The salesperson Suade made it so enjoyable and smooth. I ended up with two complete outfits that were tailored perfectly. A little disappointed in this location. My boyfriend was fitted for a tux 2 weeks before the wedding he's supposed to stand in. He was measured and fitted and we were told to come back 2 days before the wedding to pick up the tux. We came back and literally nothing that was ordered fit him correctly. They had to take completely new measurements and order a completely different tux to be picked up the next day (the day we were supposed to travel 7 hours out of town). The second gentleman who helped us seemed more knowledgeable... However, the following day when we returned to pick-up, the pants were still not altered. The same day we were hoping to travel. The same gentleman was there and as my boyfriend was calmly discussing how much of an inconvenience this was in our travel plans, the employee essentially tried to explain to us how they were right and we were wrong, that incorrect measurements were "a part of the contract we signed". this could've been avoided if correct measurements were taken in the first place, but he wanted to press the issue and make a huge scene in the middle of the store by raising his voice and repeatedly speaking over us and pushing the point that they were right. Very unprofessional on his part because he made himself look like a fool to all the customers there. We will never be returning to this location. read more

I went to the Myrtle Beach, S.C. Mens Wearhouse today for the first time in my life. I would describe my experience as a Tux Fitting with an attitude - very unimpressed with their lack of attention to detail. In retrospect, I should have walked out of the store & gone elsewhere. We'll see how it works out but I wasn't the least bit impressed so far - they left me with a very bad first impression. read more
