My boyfriend took his Tesla here for a minor cosmetic repair (side swiped) and not only did they keep the car for a month to repair a few panels, but they marked the mileage at 99,999 when he was really more at around 24k. Ended up impacting us now months later while trying to trade it in when it showed up on the carfax. Whether it was a simple mistake or a matter of not taking the time to actually check the mileage on the Tesla, it's annoying that we were not told this or at least asked to verify. Will not be getting our business again anytime soon. read more

My wife was driving from San Diego to AZ and had transmission issues just outside of El Centro. She limped it back to El Centro and I drove out that night to swap out vehicles. In the morning, I started driving around to find a shop that could top off the ATF so I could attempt a drive back to SD. A bunch of shops that showed to open at 7 were still closed at 8. I called over to Tucker as they should open but were a little further out. Michael took my call and understood my situation and while transmission repair isn't their specialty, told me to come over and they would help me out. Michael met me as soon as I arrived and brought my truck around to have one of his guys check it out. Instead of just doing the minimum of adding some ATF, they ran diagnose on the truck to make sure I wasn't just setting myself up for a bigger issue by driving it back. They did find a few things on the scan but confirmed the ATF was low and got that were it should be. Besides for not even charging me for the service, he gave me a quality t-shirt as well! BTW - I was able to make it back to San Diego and the fluid level was still good upon my return. It would have been easy to be taken advantage of being "out of town" but that isn't how they do business. Hopefully I don't ever have car trouble in El Centro again, but it I do or need a tow, I know a shop that earned my business. read more

Not the people at the front counter desks but the lady at the desk behind them to the left, very rude and aggressive. This tow company misplaced the keys to my vehicle after the accident. I went to the tow yard and found the keys myself as none of the employees bothered to look for the keys anywhere. I found the key within 5 seconds. Lady from the back far left, who had went outside to look at the car with me, took the spare key and snatched the key THAT I FOUND to my own car, out of my hand. Tuckers is the only place I take my vehicle for any insurance repairs or paint damage they are honest and I trust them to take good care of my vehicle and repair it right while in their possession. I have been there so many times I know most of the staff by name and they always treat me politely and respectfully, they make going through a rough time that much easier which is why I continue to go back to Tuckers. I was driving from San Diego to Phoenix and shredded one of my tires. After getting the spare on, I noticed the car wouldn't start and started looking for a towing company. I managed to get ahold of them as they were closing, and they still came out and told me they would get my car, drop it off anywhere I wanted, and then take me to any hotel I wanted. They picked me and the car up in the middle of a dust storm and let me know they'd found a place that would stay open late to take a look at my car so that I could get home that night - and again, if it wasn't something that could be that night, I could call and they would take me to a hotel. Tow trucks I've dealt with in the past have mostly treated me and my situation as an inconvenience - as if the $300 I'm paying for 20 minutes of labor and an 11 mile drive is putting them out --- these guys were the complete opposite of that. While I hope to never have to call them again, this was as close to a good experience as you could get in this situation. :) read more

Had my car taken in for an estimate a few weeks ago. Every time I was given a date for an estimate or a call back I usually never got either. I actually haven't gotten a call for anything regarding my vehicle with this business until I call. After getting the run-around with questions about estimates and etas, I'm told they can't take my vehicle in for another month whether they have all the parts or not. I think customers should be aware of how long they might have to wait to get their vehicles worked on whether parts are available quickly or not, I'm pretty sure this business is aware of how much work they have and at what rate they can get it done. If I would've known this info on having to wait so long I would've taken my business elsewhere. I get that there's a process to everything and it takes time, but after waiting so long for an estimate and parts, I get an update on their "workload". Now I have to pay some sort of fee I would like to do so. I feel like I got trapped by this business. If I could give 0 stars I would but I feel fine giving one cause some of the rude gals that work there are good looking. read more

Tucker Autobody & Towing gets paid to report their repairs to cars to CARFAX. They will deny it on the phone and to your face that is isn't them but it is. We were able to find out through our insurance company. The police were not involved and no other car was hit. They made false statements about the repairs and the potential safety hazzards the car would represent and buyer beware comments. This is a car that was repaired by them to the satisfaction of our insurance company maintaining it was safe to drive./ You wouldn't think so after reading the write up on CARFAX. By the way, CARFAX is just as down and low as Tucker Autobody and Towing. Don't take your care here to get it fixed. We are getting an attorney to handle CARFAX and Tukcker Autobody for their lies. Please, DO NOT USE TUCKER AUTOBODY!!! Why would Tucker Autobody allow us to drive an unsafe car that they repaired!! Then report it as potentially unsafe and buyer beware!! Jared is extremely knowledgeable, answered all my questions, and made recommendations on what I needed and what could wait. Their staff provided a few different estimates so that I could see comparisons based on what I chose to get done. I went to 3 body shops (including one I had been to several times in the past) to get a minor repair for a seat in my van. One shop said they were not interested, one shop never returned my calls and the last one kept asking me to come back because the right person to talk to was not there. My fourth shop to try was Tucker Auto Body. I was greeted immediately. The staff is friendly, professional and knowledgable. Within a few minutes the problem was determend and was told it could be fixed while I waited. I had a repaired seat in about 30 minutes and the price was very reasonale. The same week I needed to replace the side mirror on another vehicle. The part was in the next day and I waited about 20 mintes for the new mirror to be installed and again a very reasonble price. Tucker Auto has excellent customer service, skilled technicians and a very clean office and shop. read more

My car was illegally towed as I was parked in a space that had no warnings. I returned totally shocked to discover that my car was missing, after only a couple of hours of being parked. This company charged for "4+" miles, when in reality it had only been towed for 2.5 to 3 miles, at the maximum (fraudulent). They also wrote that they picked the car up at 9pm (after-hours), when in actuality they towed the car in the morning (fraudulent). In order to pick up my vehicle, I had to hitch a ride and missed my appointment. How could they have towed or stolen my vehicle at 9pm (as their receipt stated), when in reality I picked it up and paid their ransom in the early afternoon? They charged me an outrageous $137.50 for the fraudulent mileage fee and for the fraudulent hours charge, for the return of my stolen property. When I did receive the car back, the car had dust and dirt all over it and required a serious cleaning. The engine also sounded damaged when I drove it. I notified the manager promptly, as in, within the hour, regarding the brand new engine issue and then, with a straight face, she unapologetically kept lying. Since then, I have met a couple of people who have had similar experiences with this company. These are expert tow truck scammers. I am considering legal action through various means. These tow companies have a responsibility to act in an ethical manner towards the public. read more
