Yelp needs to get rid of reviews from over 3 years ago! New property manager is helpful and caring, new office manager is great. They have done wonders to update the community and make it a nice place to live. It IS currently under renovation from flood last September, so look for it to be even nicer when all first floor units and buildings have brand new interiors thanks to her hard work. Landscaping will follow the bigger need of getting people back in their homes, so be kinder with new reviews please. read more

Why was the mansard torn off on L building last week ? It was just replaced 3 or 4 years ago with a 20 year guarantee ? Delia Caride, the LCAM from Condominium Associates representing Tudor Cay, was told and refused to check the meeting minutes or the Accounting Dept for a check sent to verify the work. Several people told her, even owners that live in the building. The workers marveled at tearing off roofing that looked relatively new. Now the question is,, who pays ? Condominium Associates should pay as she is their representative, NOT the owners at Tudor Cay again. Another fine example of inept representation on Ms. Caride's part. read more

Keep driving, I am an owner and I would recommend future buyers not to invest in this property. Managment is terrible, I mean it. HOA is worse. It is so sad because this place could be such a nice place but is the other way around. Management does not care nor rules are enforce. They treat people terribly and don't want to do their job. This is a charming condo community right on the water and centrally located mear everything. Only 15 minutes from the airport! Good amenities including pool, tennis courts, two laundry areas etc. read more

HOA is rude and not helpful to the owners/renters. When I moved in, from out of state, everything was handled through a realtor that I worked with and property manager that worked with the landlord I'm renting from. I dropped off the HOA application with the check attached and went back to Alabama to finalize moving arrangements. I was told, upon approval of HOA application, I would receive my lease from landlord. So...I received word that everything had been approved, and submitted my application to the landlord and paid security deposit and first months rent and was set to move in. I moved in 6 months ago, and loved the community, until I walked outside one Thursday night at 10 PM to find my car had been towed for not having a parking permit. I was never made aware of a parking permit, and thought this only applied to owners, was not under the impression I needed one bc the spots are all numbered for the units. I have on assigned parking space, and was told to park there and never told otherwise. Well, after paying $200 and taking PTO to get my car from the tow yard, I called the office to check their hours so I could come by and pick up my parking pass. I was told that I wasn't in the system, and the lady on the phone claimed she remembered my application vividly bc she had shredded it 6 months prior for missing information. She stated she tried to call once and didn't get a response, so she assumed I wasn't interested. This was a lie, as my keys were dropped off at the office for me on move-in day and they were definitely aware that this unit was being rented out. Also, I never received a call from them. I'm positive about that. I believe this was an error on their end, and they're trying to make me pay for something that I wasn't at fault for. It seems that my paperwork was lost or deleted from the system or I or the property manager would've been alerted if there was an issue. Anyways, I asked when I could pick up my parking pass and she said, "Oh, you can't until you fill out the new HOA application and pay $100, then you'll have to go through the interview process and get approved before we can turn over the pass to you. Until then, park in guest parking. I'm looking at your pass now, but you can't pick it up until this is done". Well, this is what brought me to submit this review...I'm still not done with the Application process. After filling out what felt like a background check, and telling them everything about my life(They ask for salary, boss name and number, references, etc.); I had to submit a copy of my lease, photo of my license, photo of car, photo of car registration, copy of pet vaccines, photo of car tag, photo of pet. It's ridiculous the amount of information they are requesting. I'm in a contract with the owner, and went through all of this prior to moving in. Instead of helping me remedy this uncomfortable situation, they've turned it in to a more stressful situation than I'd ever imagined. My advice, if you choose to move in here, double check with the owner or the office that everything is complete. The HOA think they own this complex, and make you feel like an intruder in your own home. Btw, I thought my car had been stolen that night, they towed it without warning. I just walked outside, and it wasn't in my parking spot. Unless something changes with the HOA here, I have a feeling owners and renters will continue to have issues with them. Also, what's the HOA money going to and why don't you tow vehicles that aren't following the guidelines(like the commercial trailer that has been parked in a guest spot for 6+ months and is probably a member of the HOA board). I'm lucky I have a great landlord, and he's taken excellent care of the unit I'm in. This one star review is 100% a reflection on the complex and the HOA that "manages" the property. Those people need to Updating because they restructured staff at office and they are much better. read more

Keep driving, that about sums it all up. I owned property here for 3 years and am so glad I was able to sell it. This place has to be the most poorly run Condominium establishment in the country. We owned a unit here at Tudor Cay and when we purchased it the place was nice and quiet. About a year later there were fights - and I do mean physical fights - by the board members, terrible management decisions and what appeared to be gross fiscal mismanagement by the board. This place took forever to get projects done and as of now I'm told the entire board is under investigation because all the HOA funds are missing. Had a chance to visit Tampa recently and turned into Tudor Cay and what I saw was quite sad. The grounds were terrible, cars parked illegally, no sense of uniformity in the way the buildings look, fans blowing in the windows, foul smell coming from that huge a-s-s trash compactor that sits in the most conspicuous place imaginable, right near the entrance!! I was fortunate enough to run into my old next door neighbor who was out for her morning stroll. She was glad to see me and I was glad to see her! She told me about all the problems the complex was having and that all the money from the monthly maintenance fees had been stolen. This didn't stop her from trying to get me to re-invest in this dump, NOT!! Tudor Cay suffers from gross mis-management and the amount of renters they have far, far exceeds the number of owners living on site. This place has so much potential and sits on a salt water canal close to shopping and dining. Worst property management company I have ever dealt with and I work in the apartment industry. Owners pay $450 for HOA fees for absolutely nothing. Stairs are broken for years, pool is never clean, landscaping is not kept up. Where does that money go? Probably Neil's pocket or the entire the towing company to tow everyone's car. Stay far away from Tudor cay and the management company. I cannot wait to move out. read more

I would give this place 0 stars if I could but I have to at least give one. The absolute worse place to live. It's trashy and dirty. Everyone that's part of the association looks like they haven't showered in months. The management office people are extremely rude. Parking is ridiculous. I tried to close on a property there. My lender found out there was litigation on-going. It was potential sink holes. The condo association informed me that they were suing their insurance company to make repairs. I asked them in the owners knew. They said all owners were informed and it was a long-standing problem. The realtor claimed she didn't know and neither did the owner. Well they know now. I see condo is once again pending. I hope new potential owners know. It was by far the worst complex I have ever lived in. The property manager Susan was not a pleasant person to deal with. Friends/Family cars have been towed numerous times while parked in "Guests". They count how many times a resident has had the same guest over and if they feel our guest have over stayed their welcome, they have no problem calling a tow truck to have cars towed. The owner of the condo I was renting from strictly warned me, but I did not think it would be so extreme as it turned out to be. Many residents have this issue, including the neighbors that I had lived around. I will never refer this place to anyone, it is as if you live under surveillance. Thumbs down !! read more

We have called this office and the person named Diana has never answer anyone's phone calls other than that we call her to ask for assistant she doesn't even guide us to the right direction the attitude is horrible I have asked about apartments and all she does is be mean over the phone she even told me to just get on the damn website this is no wonder they have so many apartments available I am so disappointed and I will do what it takes to get my mom out of there she lived there for 3 years and all she was doing was asking for a two-bedroom she's in elderly please I beg that you get another assistance for your office read more

Terrible property management. Took a couple weeks to fix our A/C in Sept/Oct. They do not respond to you in a timely manner. Property Manager/Landlord are unreliable and do not care about their tenants. Some people that live in here are not trustworthy and are pretty nosy. Traffic on Hillsborough makes it a pain and a death trap trying to get out of there. Do everything you can to stay out of this place plenty of decent apartments nearby. Only positive was that it was cheap but you do get what you pay for. read more
