I was pleasantly surprised to see the market still open (second weekend in November) but I shouldn't have been because of our weather. Vendors still had a lot of fresh produce available. From my original review, the Tulsa Farmers' Market must've done something for me to think otherwise being 3-stars. Every Saturday morning is mandatory to wake up early & get prepped for it. I always leave with either scones + muffins (T's Kitchen Door), breakfast tacos (Elote), plants, etc etc. I always end up with a cup of coffee from Topeca or She Brews. The more & more seasons the market comes around, the bigger it gets. Today was opening day & I've NEVER seen it this packed before, ever. People were parked down the street in front of stores that aren't halfway at capacity around that time (7-11am). There was a flow of foot traffic, live music & other activities taking place as well. Bring your dogs (there was a vender there that was selling dog treats that caught my eyes)! Bring your appetite & cash (some venders accept tokens only). It's always a good time. read more

food i'd gone to the farmers market today with mom, searching especially for seeds to plant in the garden. nonetheless, while walking through the tents of the central strip at market and adjacent tent area in a kendall whittier district parking lot, i'd seen a variety of booths that interested me. mom had stopped at one booth on our first walkthrough to get a shortbread she likes, which she put in a reusable i'd not had the foresight to think to bring. then, the first booth that intrigued me enough to inquire about a product was a booth for cauxfee, a non caffeinated, natural ingredient coffee alternative. and though i'd been intrigued by the product largely for the health potential of a non caffeinated energy source, i'd not deny that both amusement from the proximity of the brand name to the infamous donald trump social media typo &covfefe&, and attraction from the brand ambassador being a pretty woman wearing a red flight attendant suit, influenced the decision to try the coffee alternative, which though somewhat expensive, was not exorbitantly so, considering the quality of ingredients and taste exceeding most all drip coffee i've tasted. then, upon circling back around for another walkthrough, i stopped at a produce plant booth at which i'd glanced before, and considering mom had told me she has not seen seeds for sale before at the farmers market, i'd figured the produce plants were as close to what i was wanting as i'd find, and so i bought three green bean plants. and lastly, mom bought a loaf of focaccia cheese bread from a company named backyard bread, which fittingly is located really close to where she lives. though i've tasted that kind of bread before, i tried it with a pasta dish that mom made, and the two paired well. service the brand representative for cauxfee was kind and knowledgable, providing me a flyer about the product ingredients and health benefits. also, the worker at the produce plant booth was similarly helpful, informing me that although none of the available tomato plants would grow below 3 feet tall, the green bean plants would grow about right at that height. the worker at the shortbread booth and the couple who own backyard bread were polite and helpful also. ambiance the weather was superb for walking outside, being around the 60s with a light breeze, though i'd think the dense crowd might be a challenge on particularly warm saturdays, and dressing accordingly is advisable. further, the live music at the event, a guy playing guitar and singing, was pleasant, clearly audible but not overwhelming. and lastly, i'd very much enjoyed seeing people i recognize, including a friend with who i'd went to school and his mom, and a worker for a booth with who i'd also went to school. read more

The Tulsa farmers market is such a treasure. Especially when it's a beautiful day like today. There are lots of crafts, lots of food, lots of fresh locally grown vegetables and flowers. No dogs are allowed except for Service animals. There's usually even live entertainment. read more

Pros: at first I didn't like the new location but now I'm used to it. I prefer it now. While my knives are being sharpened, I grab my husband empanadas and shrimp bombs from Masa. My friend gets a burrito from Calveras, but coffee from She Brews. I get breakfast tacos from Elote. The vendors at this market are good. There's baked goods. My Dad's Salsa. For the first trip to this particular farmer's market, it was an experience all to itself. My husband Muchael and I happened to be in town for another event, and we had the chance to partake in it while we were there. For a local farmer's market, this is one of the larger ones we have seen in awhile. When I go to my farmer's market where I live, I challenge myself to see what I can get for $20 to create a meal(lunch/dinner) for my husband and myself. Well I spent a little more than what I intended, but I came away with a couple new products to try, that could help my system. I am looking forward to trying them in the coming weeks. I saw some beautiful plants along the way also. If you have a bucket list for Farmer's Markets to visit, this needs to be added to that list. I absolutely love this market.It may not be a huge farmers market but the vibe is pretty fantastic. You can find a variety of items as well. I even found thai basil today to put in my chicken pho! Score. I can't even find that in the stores! It's also in a great location, so brunch or breakfast before hand, or coffee with friends, is definitely encouraged. I highly suggest checking it out. Due to Cherry Street road construction the market moved to Lewis and Admiral in the Kendall Whittier area for 2020. When in Tulsa I enjoy this nice street market and its terrific vibe. It's smallish: If you're looking for a diversion for the kids you might walk the length and see all the vendors in under 45 minutes. That will cover the dozens of sellers of produce, baked goods, cheeses, honey, crafts, herbs, meat items, and more. Coming to the Cherry Street Farmers Market is a Saturday ritual from spring through fall for me. The variety of vendors and options for produce, meat, dairy, bakery items, and more always makes me smile. The vendors are also very friendly, often smiling and greeting you as you walk by their booths. There are staple vendors that are steadfast and solid and always some new vendors with changing product options to add diversity to the mix. Many of the vendors happily offer samples of their products so you can try before you buy. Almost all of the vendors I have seen boast organic and non-gmo or non corn fed products. It's nice to get out and walk around here taking in the sights, smells, and sounds. Sometimes there is a live music booth. The farmers market main booth sells reusable bags, exchanges tokens for credit card purchases that can be used at booths, and sells some other merchandise a farmers market goer might want. read more

Going to the Cherry Street Farmer's Market is one of my favorite weekend activities. With everything from in season fruits and vegetables, to pasture raised meats, to fresh cut flowers, to local handicrafts, there's always something new to see and try! I always like to grab an iced coffee from the Coffee House on Cherry Street and make my way up and down the market a few times before deciding what veggies to take home. With the addition of live music and some local breweries giving out samples this year, the market has really expanded! Families with small kids are welcome, but no dogs are allowed within the market (they can walk on the outside, however). My only hope is the this market will continue to grow so Tulsans can keep support local farmers and businesses! Be sure to bring some water and a hat-- this market is fully in the sun and it can be pretty hot! read more

The Cherry Street Farmers' Market is a great way to spend your Saturday mornings! You can find a lot of local products including fresh seasonal fruits and vegetables, eggs, honey, and meat. Beyond food there are also local artists selling decorations and woodwork items such as cutting boards. You also have organizations like "Up with trees" who give out free trees for you to plant and OU School of Community Medicine comes out regularly to provide free health screenings including blood pressure and A1c checks for diabetes. The months between April and October are always a little sweeter, because my Saturday mornings always consist of a trip to the Cherry Street Farmers' Market. It is open from 7-11am each Saturday between April and October, and there is always something new and exciting. I personally love grabbing a veggie breakfast taco from Elote and adding some spicy honey to it. Make sure you don't wait until the last minute to grab your puffy taco, they are quite popular. I love stocking up on local, fresh fruits and veggies for the week. There is generally live music, fresh flowers, food venders, local honey, local artists, local farmers, etc. at the Farmers' market. CHOCS or the Coffee House on Cherry Street and other establishments on Cherry Street welcome the foot traffic and often have special treats on Saturday mornings. I personally love when the exotic cars are in town. read more

It's fun to walk around Cherry Street Farmers' Market. Remember to bring enough cash to shop around unless you don't mind paying a small charge to get tokens with your credit/debit card. I sign up for their weekly emails to know the vendors that will be at the Farmers' Market. The vendors have the usual vegetables, fruits, meat, cheese and even flowers/plants. I like the food I bought from the Bohemian: Moveable Feast Caterers food truck. Also love the cinnamon roll when Antoinette's Baking Co is there. I wish there's a bigger variety of heirloom vegetables and fruits though. read more

I'm not sure why they call this a farmer's market. Yes, what food was there was displayed nicely, friendly (somewhat) vendors and locally grown or hand/made products. Disappointing was the prices. Seriously, I can get the same foods for the same price at Sprouts, Whole Foods or Reasor's and, believe it or not, those places carry "organic", too. Cut your prices in 1/2 and you'll have true farmer's market that will have people coming out of their homes in droves. Ordinary people - not just those who drive high-end or "green" vehicles. Very small venue so I'm not sure where the "largest farmer's market" slogan really comes from. This "farmer's market" really needs expansion. Not enough room for people to walk. Spread the vendors out a bit more because some of the lines to get things like cinnamon rolls are very long and extend out into the crowd. A true farmer's market would be like the one in Riverdale, GA that is run by the Department of Agriculture. It's jam-packed with great prices (real bargains actually) on home-grown produce, fruits and local farm meats without all the non-food crafting vendors that seem to be the majority at Cherry Street. It doesn't matter much to me if you disagree - truly, I've seen better "farmer's markets" and this one doesn't even come close. They really should rename this something else - like the Cherry Street Arts and Crafts Mini Fest. read more

My boyfriend and I finally made it to the Farmer's Market together last Saturday! We had a nice time and enjoyed looking at all the different stands with fresh produce, meats, homemade goods, spices, and more! Tulsa really needs more places for fresh produce year round, and I think that starting Cherry Street Farmer's Market is a great way to start! If you are looking for some great deals on fresh produce while listening to some great bands live, and taste testing some awesome food, you should definitely check out Cherry Street's Farmer's Market! Could you guys maybe extend the hours to Noon every once in awhile? I know it's hot in July and August...but maybe in May/June/September/October could it be open until Noon? In Tulsa for a business trip with my daughter I of course used Yelp to see what was around worthy of checking out. This was definitely a fun experience and a nice fun thing to do on a Saturday morning. There was a focus on naturally raised and organic foods and several tents with high qualify non food products. I opted for a strawberry smoothie pop, which was excellent and then a bit later a breakfast dish of a fried egg torta, good stuff, from the Bohemia food truck. Having moved from Houston, land of way too much traffic on a Saturday morning to get to the one tiny farmer's market, to Tulsa, I am in love with Cherry Street Farmer's Market! I stop in after my long run to grab a croissant from Palace Cafe along with a baguette, skyr and goat's milk from Lomah Dairy, fresh organic veggies from my favorite vendor who hails from Ponca City, and a large jar of honey because why the hell not. This is a small neighborhood farmer's market located on Cherry Street (15th St). They have a reasonably good selection of organic fruit and vegetables along with homemade edibles and snacks. Parking is tight and the concrete is hot. I would like to see this market moved to a better venue with grass and shade.
