This store is overwhelmingly amazing! Located in downtown Tubac it's the perfect kitchen store. If you love to cook or are looking for the perfect gift for your foodie friends, then this shop is a must! It's kitchen gadgets and decor overload. If you need a kitchen tool I guarantee you this place will have it. From the obvious tools to the more unique (banana cutters, olive holders etc) this spot does have it all. Prices seemed reasonable to me. While prices did range a little, everything seemed priced appropriately. For example I bought the cutest Tubac dish towel for $11 and then a spice bag for cooking pozole soup for about $4. Reasonable to me. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Nice people work here. I was especially impressed with their sauces, cocktail mixes, and dressings. When in Tubac check this shop out as I could spend hours in here. So much to see and such cute stuff. We found so many cool things at Tumacookery. We basically did all of our Christmas shopping there, finding dinosaur popsicle makers and super soft stuffed animals for the younger kids, and up the ladder to sophisticated bottled sauces and cookbooks for the older crew. I used to love this store. I stopped in today and was told I had to apply hand sanitizer. Masks are one thing but to insist that I rub an unknown product on my hands is too much. I asked if they were certain that this was not one of the products that has been recalled because they contained dangerous chemicals, but my question was ignored and the demand simply repeated. I politely informed the clerk that I respected their right to set store policy, but that I also had the right to choose not to shop there. Their loss. I always spend money when I'm in there, and considering the lack of customers two days before Christmas (it's usually packed), they likely could have used it. read more

My mom and dad just moved down to Rio Rico from Washington state, so we are all fairly new to the area. The past 3 weeks have consisted of a lot of exploring. I'm an independent artist myself, so when they stumbled upon Tubac, they knew it would be right up my alley. We stopped in just before closing. I'm not used to shops closing before 6 or 7, and we came in so close to 5! If not a bit after. But the kind ladies let us take our time to browse. I didn't get a chance to check everything out, just a good excuse to come back, but I did leave with an awesome blackberry chipotle finishing sauce. Reasonably priced, friendly staff, interesting gadgets and unique sauces/jams/salsas/etc. I can't wait to come back in! read more

This is a fun little shop with many little gadgets to choose from. While some of these items can be found in many stores there were some little gems that I had not seen before. I'm always looking for a new gadget for a gift for my mom. I found some little trinkets in this store that she just loved. A couple of small measuring cups and a small wisk or two for her many kitchen stashes. It was amazing how many different products they could get in this compact store. I love looking around this cute little cook store. There are so many little gadgets to look over and fun items you may not ever use but its neat to look at. Most things are priced reasonably. It does have some smaller isles as this store is on the smaller side. So if you go during a event they are having it can get pretty crowded and you would not be able to move around with a wheel chair or stroller which is why I am only giving 4 stars. read more

Was very excited to go to this store. We drove all the way from Tucson and was denied entry. Checking their website it said that masks were required, so we abided by that request. We were stopped by an employee who demanded we put hand sanitizer on. I told her that I can't use sanitizer on my skin. She said it didn't matter. When I told her I couldn't shop there if that were the case, she said, "fine!" As we were leaving,, she called out in a sarcastic tone, "sorry!" As business owners, I respect their right to set policy. But if that's the case, then put that on your website before I drive an hour to visit your store. Driving so far in trying to support these small businesses and then to be treated like that was more than disappointing. They lost my business as well as that of my family and friends. I will never shop here and will tell everyone I know how poorly the guests are treated. read more

This store is loaded with goodies for the Kitchen/Baking/Cooking fan. Even my husband was eying things like specialty coffee makers. From the smallest, most inexpensive cooking tool to specialty dishware and knives they've got it. Love the local 'Arbuckels' coffee , their 'Sledgehammer' blend is a new favorite. They have a wide selection of Southwestern themed items that are useful and not kitschy so we like to make this a stop for visitors when we take them to Tubac. Always something new, interesting and useful to find in this store. Plan to spend time browsing! read more

Another adorable little shop in "Downtown Tubac". Most of the inventory can be bought at any kitchen store but it's the little things in between that make this shop special. Who would have thought that you could find a kitchen gadget store to rival Williams Sonoma or Sur La Table right here in little ole Tubac. They have every possible thing you might want for your gourmet cooking needs: pots and pans, small appliances, cooking utensils, gourmet seasonings and oils, dishware... the list goes on and on. I was in the store with my mother and we were speaking Spanish, and the man behind the register, who wore black-rimmed glasses, stood by us with his arms crossed looking disapproving and suspicious of what we were doing. It felt very hostile towards us and I suspect it was because of the Spanish. It felt very disrespectful and he made me feel uncomfortable. I will not be shopping there again. read more
