Her attorney Taylah Macklin did nothing she had asked for, didn't fight for her and didn't produce or represent her at all. Didn't do anything she had asked for. She spent 5k with this firm and still lost in court. Attorney Macklin did not do anything my friend had asked for and kept doing irrelevant things. They charge your credit card. I was charged over $10,000 in one month for an uncontested divorce. We made little to no progress for joint physical custody. Large firms tend to charge more than the smaller firms. For reference, I paid $8,000 to another law firm for the same case and it took one year and a half to pay $8,000. This gives you some perspective. They had trouble with technology, specifically Dropbox. No effort to make a connection with me and distant/aloof. Made sure to overcharge every week. In this case, I did not get what I paid for and still looking for joint physical custody with another lawyer. read more

I found Turco Legal and Amanda Gnau online for my divorce process. I was initially reluctant to go with a firm that I had never heard of. However, I had an awful experience with a prior lawyer I had hired who was referred to me -- allegedly strong in the courtroom, I found they had a condescending tone, had little attention to detail (ie. often had to resend questions that were missed in emails), was not very responsive, etc., and I knew I couldn't continue with them. As you can see, I usually only do restaurant reviews, however, I felt the need to give credit to where credit is due as it relates to service. A few months ago I fell victim to a personal injury that was a result of someone else's negligence. I dreaded the process of dealing with an attorney and filing all the paper work. I spoke to several area attorneys by phone to explain my case, long story short, I got a huge run around with un answered questions. I was driving on I-95 in January of 2015 and was rear-ended. My car was totaled I and missed time at work due to injury and physical therapy. I was not hospitalized but was in pain for weeks. I looked up this law firm and saw the great reviews and called them. I was immediately passed to a 'partner' firm after it was evident that my case was not overly complicated nor lucrative. After a few weeks and a few phone calls with this second firm I was passed again to a junior lawyer in the firm. I tried to show patience and called a few times for updates after not hearing from them for over a month. Last time I heard from them was June 2015. As far as I can tell they dropped my case and didn't bother to tell me. So I lost time at work, paid for physical therapy and paid for a rental car, plus pain and suffering= $0.00. So they stringed me along just long enough to waste my time and hurt my chances for compensation. Advice, don't pick the first firm you see in your Google search. read more
