Hello, I just wanted to convey the excellent service we received from one of your staff from Turibus in Mexico City. Anna from Turibus. Anna was at the kiosk on the Basilica circuit. Anna was working the afternoon in front of the Burger King store, on Tuesday June 2, 2026 (I think it was on the Calzada de Guadalupe). Anna was so attentive, patient with my not so good spanish (which I am working on for when I return to Mexico!), professional, and so very kind. She helped us, and explained the Turibus routes. We both used google translate to communicate. Anna was one of the most friendliest people we met on our entire trip. We were on the Turibus the next day and did the Historical and Palanco Cirsuit. We wanted to do the Basilica Circuit to see if Anna was working to thank her again for all her help. Turibus is so fortunate to have an amazing and kind person as Anna in their company. Give this lady a prize and a raise for her amazing service!!! THANK YOU ANNA!!!! Now for the tour itself. We did the tour in Mexico City June 3, 2026. Great to see Mexico City, especially if you don't have a lot of time. We bought our tickets for 400 MX pesos each, at the stand in the Historical Centre for a one day pass. They give you headphones and a map. Don't forget to bring water, snacks, a small towel, hat, and go to the bathroom before you go, because one circuit can take almost 2 hours. We did the Historical and Palanco circuit. The only thing was sometimes the descriptions of the area would cut off mid sentence, leaving you wondering what the rest of the story was. Depending on where you sit sometimes the connection to the audio on bus did not work. But no worries we just changed seats. Buses were clean. The day we went was hot, so if you are wearing shorts the seats on the top can get hot! But just give it some time to cool down. Bring a towel or sheet to cover the hot seat and you are good to go! Overall, super fun tour to get to see the city. We did not have enough time to do all four circuits in one day, so maybe consider buying a 48 hour pass. Also note tours end at 7 pm. And depending where you are you could be dropped off mid circuit. So plan your time accordingly. This was explained very well by Anna (see above). She was amazing!!! Also note is you are not fluent in Mexican spanish, which has some differences from other spanish dialects, bring your phone to translate or do some research on the tours before you go. Honestly, not a bad way to get around the city and catch some major highlights. It costs $290 MXN for adults and $150 MXN for children. We ended up getting our tickets and bracelets to get us on and off the bus. We decided to do the red line (Centro Historico) and yellow line (Polanco) within the allotted time. I liked the red line since it had plenty of stops and nice photo opps. The yellow line also had some nice stops on it, but the action seemed to be with the red line. The staff at the stop we were at, Monumento a la Independencia (Angel) made sure we went to the proper location for the bus. Seeing our limited Spanish speaking abilities, they were able to explain this in English. That was nice of them to do, ensuring that we all were in the right spots. Timing was listed as every 10 to 15 minutes for the frequency of buses, which was correct (aside from unpredictable traffic). Announcements were made for the approximate length of the tour, with extra time needing to be taken to account for traffic. I liked that they had the option of which language to give background information at each stop, but I would've wanted more detail and in depth explanations. They provided headphones with 10 options for language, volume control, and USB/USB-C plugs. Just be careful if you ride on the top and when it's hot out, because it gets pretty warm and you may run the risk of your phone overheating. When we were on the yellow line, the driver gave some extra tidbits of information, but seemed that he only explained in Spanish. Note: if you're on the top part of the bus/open air area, make sure to be careful since it is full of trees and you could easily get smacked by leaves or branches if you're not careful. We stopped during part of the red line route to grab a bite to eat, and when we were attempting to get on the green line transfer, were informed that due to our time (about 5:30pm) we would only make it for one of the stops, since the closing time for the bus tour is 7pm (open 9am). All in all good value if you want to see the city in limited time and for a good overview of the sights. read more

We took this bus to the pyramids. It was a tour that we booked online it was about $50 per person which was not bad. This included a buffet breakfast once we got to the area. They took us to a store where they make obsidian jewelry and other things, that they gave us a small tour of. Then it took us to the pyramid area and took us around explaining some of the areas then give you free time do your own thing. Then you were able to take the bus back to the city and they dropped you off at your location that you got picked up. Overall it was a great experience I wouldn't say that the food was great but hey it came with a buffet breakfast and all this for about $50 per person. read more

1) ear phones did not play very loud. Hard or impossible to hear over other ambient noise. 2) They simply did not go to several stops in the Polanco route. After much translation efforts, the explanation was, "we don't go there on Mondays, the museums are closed." However we had other sights we'd arranged tours on at the missed stop. 3) The Turibus website information is inaccurate. No mention of Polanco route changes on Mondays (obviously). We were told the intervals between all buses, all routes was about an hour, depending on traffic, not what's indicated on the website. 4) We Uber to our Louis Berrigan Casa tour, since Polanco route doesn't go there on Mondays. 5) Like fools, we then took the Central route. Again, some stops were skipped. A lot of people were standing at the door, and the driver never stopped. 6) I will not use Turibus again. I do NOT recommend it. Get around by Uber. More direct, more convenient and inexpensive. read more

Solid tour bus company to see the highlights of Mexico City. It's pretty popular and there are a lot of buses, so the wait to get on wasn't too bad. The information about the historical landmarks wasn't as thorough as I would've liked, and I had trouble getting my earbuds to work for a while (the outlet was broken so I switched seats). I like the red line, as that covered all of the most famous spots and I enjoyed great views all-around. I also had some trouble finding the info desk for the first location, but when I arrived, the staff was very kind with informing us how things worked. read more

What started as a great day of site1seeing ended in a nightmare due to Turibus! They skipped our stop at the Auditorium Nacional and them forced everyone to depart a the Angel statue. We were 2 young girls with limited language skills who were literally abandoned!!!!! We had to figure out how to get back to our hotel, which was 2 miles-- equal to over a 1 hour walk through Lord knows what type of areas! DO NOT EVER use this service!!! We did nothing wrong and they could have cared less and wouldn't even assist with figuring out how we could safely get back to our hotel! This bus service is terrible and kicked off two women because it was 7:00. We took the orange tour and because it was late due to traffic they made everyone get off. The staff did not care one bit. So AMERICANS, do not use this service...they do not care that two American women with limited Spanish were abandoned...they had zero concern. This company is a mess. We came early and bought tickets, then stood around for an hour and a half, 45 minutes after they'd aid they were going to leave. Then they said we needed our paper receipt in additional to the bracelets they'd given us. Then when we got on the bus they soldiers to take us off and said they didn't have room for us. We purchased tickets for the 7:30pm night tour. We were told to arrive 15 mins prior in from of the City Express Hotel which is in front of the Angel statue in Mexico City. We were late and arrived 4 mins before 7:30pm and were told to wait for the next bus as that one was pretty full and our party of 7 wouldn't find seats together at the top. I found it a bit odd, but within 5-7 mins the next bus arrived and we were the first to get on and choose our seats. The tour was about 45 mins long and took us around the historic part of Mexico City. There was a speaker that served as our Spanish speaking tour guide. We pursued the tickets online, but you can purchase them when you arrive at the bus spot. I would definitely recommend this to family and friends for their 1st time visiting Mexico City. read more

Our tour guide told us we were allowed to keep our stuff on the bus and then "lost everything". They were not at the meeting location described on the website. They took us to Lucha Libra late. The bus wasn't in the location that the tour guide told us it would be in when we left lucha Libre. They falsely advertised that the tour would be in English. I took Turibus (hop on/ off) the first day in Mexico City. Pricing was $11 in person, not sure why they advertise $9 online, no big issue still cheap compared to other major cities. This was a great way to see the city and sites. I rode it to the Anthropology Museum approx. 8 stops from my pick up location. They were on time during a busy Sunday during a bike event that had major parts of the city blocked off. Lots of time to take pictures in the open top bus. Yes I would take Turibus again. This is probably the best way to see as much of Mexico City in as shortest time as possible. You can hop on and off and make connections to other routes to various neighborhoods and sights, and you can do this all day long for one price of $160 MXP ($8.36 USD a/o today) per person Weekdays, it's a little more expensive the weekends but not much. Reforma 222 or the Zocalo are maybe the best places to get your ticket. Bring a hat because you'll be sitting outside on the top of the bus. When the weather gets bad there is a canopy. There are about 8 language translations available. They provide New earphones for each customer, and USB ports to charge your phone. Nice touch. I don't know how the driver does his job without an accident. It's not him; it's the other drivers, pedestrians, a 2 wheel vehicles that cut in front of him. read more

Great option when visiting Mexico City, one of the largest cities in the world. This was at least my fifth time taking the tour in its seventeen years of service, and I was pleased to see that they have more circuits and tours available both in the city and right outside of it. A great way to enjoy the city, even if you are a local! I'm looking forward to hopping on tour to the Xochimilco area on my next visit. If you hate money and have lots of time to waste, this tour is for you! You will spend 30 minutes waiting for a bus on a stop, it'll take you to the next stop, where it'll just sit for another 30 minutes (despite being completely full), and then just reverse direction and take you right back to the previous stop, where you started an hour ago. What a tour of the city! There are no headphones, like on normal hop-on-hop-off tours, so, if you don't speak Spanish, do not expect any narration. But even if you do, it's really, maybe 5% of the trip, the rest is just annoying music. Maps on website do not match what they'll give you in the brochure, and the actual route doesn't match either version. The driver will just stop wherever he likes, and speed over other stops on a whim. Most of the stops are unmarked, and there are no addresses or any location information in the brochure. Basically, you have to guess where they are. There is also a mobile app. It makes you grant it every permission from viewing photos to making calls, displays a logo and then does absolutely nothing. When they sell the ticket, they will tell you busses run till 7, but in reality, they are just done when they are done. The guide warned us that the last bus would be at 5 on one day "because of a holiday" ... But when we were there at 4:30, it has already left. It's a huge city, so if you are still considering buying this, be sure to budget $40-$50 per day for the Uber to get back when they just leave you stranded in some remote location. Do yourself a favor and go with a good operator, like Capital Bus. I can't count how many times I wished we did watching their busses come and go while desperately waiting for ours at a stop. read more

June 20. 2022 Horrible. Paid for the two day tickets. The schedule online says that they work up to 7 pm. Today in the afternoon, I went to stop #8 in the centro historico circuit at about 5:10 PM. There was a young man with dark hair, sleeping inside the bus, wouldn't open the door. We waited a couple of minutes to see if his break was over. He proceeds to tell us that that bus stopped at 5 PM. At about 5:35 we start walking home. We walked about an hour back. On the way we saw about three more buses pass us by going towards centro. I definitely Recommend Capital Bus better. I always used TuriBus in the past, but the service has gone downhill. read more

I purchased for full day tickets for Turibus to see most of the major sites in Mexico City. It was a good concept but it takes a long time to travel, not just because of traffic but we also found ourselves waiting over an hour for a bus in the worst case and 30 minutes in a best case. We switched circuits a couple times but the buses aren't synchronized like a public transit system. Other than that, it's a good way to drive by and take in the sights but there is not much time to experience the sights (museums, etc.). read more

Have done hop on hop off tours in many cities. Have always learned from and enjoyed the experience. However, this Mexico City tour was bad. First, it was hot and there was no air conditioning, or it was not turned on. Was very sweaty. Second, they had an English translation of the information (via headphones) about each stop, but the Spanish announcement over the loud speakers made it so you couldn't hear anything on the headphones, even though we turned the sound up as loud as possible. Third, what little content we could hear was uninspired compared with other hop on hop off services in other cities. Fourth, we stopped in the sun for about 20 minutes while the driver and his assistant could order lunch and bring it back to the bus. Fifth, the employees seemed preoccupied and not interested in what was going on in the bus. Sixth, on the way out we went several stops to the Archeological Museum. We took a cab back to our hotel rather than riding the free Toribus. Love hop on hop off tours in other cities, but can't recommend the one on Mexico City. read more

Once you try to get back on the bus they tell you you "didn't pay" and need we need to pay again unless we show proof of purchase. The buses are old and dirty, the audio doesn't work at all - no apologies from tour company. Buses are supposed to run every 15 minutes but it's more like 45. No signage at the stops so you better remember exactly where the pick up point is. We've been to 56 countries and this was the worst ever by far!! read more

All I can say is GOOD LUCK when you are riding with Turibus. We visited Mexico City Jan 15-19, 2019, we rode the bus in Sur Coyoacan, San Angel where our hotel was located to el Zocalo. Riding back we transferred early to Fuente De Cibeles getting there at 6:55 to go back to our hotel in San Angel. We waited for two hours, the bus was suppose to come every 45 minutes. When the Sur bus finally got there 8:50, the driver told us that he can only take us to Mercado Roma because he stops working at 9:00. Turibus stranded us in the city, and we end up catching a taxi back to our hotel. The taxi driver told us that this happens all the time, and that we should be happy we didn't get dumped at the Basilica in the bad neighborhood. Good luck to you, and careful. Ella Bella read more

I completely agreed with other reviews about the Teotihuacan tour. First, I had trouble to buy a ticket. The website was not processing cards and I saw I could buy it at the bus stop or on the bus itself. The guy on the stop doesn't even know English (tourist worker, no English?), and didn't have a card machine. Said I could be lucky to have the machine onboard. However, the bus staff was great and I could get in and pay for the trip, great. Then, the guide's English was horrible. Seriously, as a Brazilian it was easier to understand the Spanish than try to guess the English from his accent - I know no Spanish but I'm fluent in English. The tour on the pyramids was great, but I also felt the need to go to the museum nearby, which did not happen. I guess if they just took out the basilica from the tour (which is accessible by other means) we could spend the entire day at Teotihuacan and it would be better. Last but not least, the said "included buffet" was HORRIBLE. It seems they took us to a different restaurant, as I saw more than one person praising the food. There was almost no Mexican food there, and almost everything was tasteless. Definitely not worth the price paid for the tour - should've done it all by myself. read more

The Circuito Centro Histórico runs until 9:00 PM, we took the last run going back to the Zocalo. At 9:00 PM the bus drop everybody body in one stop before the last one. WHAT? Not even taking us back to the zocalo. Unacceptable service. Never using them again. read more

Took the tour for Tenochtitlán, waste of time. Choose a different tour guide. You are picked up and taken to the Basilica of Guadalupe. The tour spends more time at the shops outside of the church for souvenir shopping. Once you get to the church, you wait to have any items blessed which is a joke because the guide is rushing you through the whole thing. You literally spend 3 minutes in the church and only head to the see Virgen de Guadalupe on the conveyer belt and nothing else. Once you are back on the bus, you finally get to Tenochtitlán around 1 pm. You get a 45 minute tour and then the remaining time until 3pm you get time in your own meaning unless you are in tip top condition you can climb both the Sun and Moon pyramid. You then are asked to meet at gate #4 which has no restrooms or any vendors. Overall you do not get to see the museum or the pyramid of Quetzalcoatl so you really miss more than half of the site. You are then taken to a mediocre buffet which has been by far the worst example of Mexican food available. The mariachi was off key and then expected you to give them a tip. Finally you are taken to a overpriced "factory" where you can see how the pulque is made. Again you spend more time at the shops than the pyramids. All you really receive is a verbal explanation of the whole process. I am bilingual and speak English and Spanish and can vouch the translation is horrible, to the point of which I wanted to stand up and translate for the guide. Save your money and your time and choose a different tour company. read more

We paid for tickets online BEFORE they informed us that we had to PRINT the receipt before receiving the tickets. We do not travel with a printer. The employees issuing the tickets would not accept a copy of the receipt on my cellphone. We ended up paying TWICE.
