I am a support staff for adults with intellectual disabilities or autism. Sometimes when I am supporting an adult with special needs, we would buy lunch at Wegman's and eat there. Afterwards, we would play a couple games before leaving. I didn't see the harm it. We see many groups meet there to play Mahjong or Dominoes. There are people there working on laptops. I've seen people crocheting there. They have a television for children to be able to sit and watch. Since there are always plenty of empty seats, I thought it was acceptable. And maybe THAT is, but Wegman's seems to have a REAL PROBLEM with adults with special needs. Small groups of staff helping adults with intellectual disabilities have been asked to leave while others are there doing a variety of activities other than eating. The excuse given: "We want you to leave after you eat." When the support staff who was approached questioned why they were singled out, that Wegman's staff person went to the other small group of individuals with special needs and told them to leave-- totally ignoring others around who were doing things other than eating. This is not the only time small groups of disabled individuals were asked to leave. Yet, I always see others, even large groups meeting there to play games, and I've never seen any Wegman's employee ask any of those groups leave. I've never seen a Wegman's staff ask people on laptops to leave. This definitely looks like discrimination against people with disabilities.

The souvenir T-shirts are hugely extortionate priced at $19.99. This gift shop reminisce nostalgia of Hallmark stores for mugs, decorative pens, bookmarks, post cards, magnets, pins, printed recipe books, small journals, wall calendar year 2027, et al. The costume jewelry was also hugely extortionate priced $19.99. I freely walked the aisles to browse and circled back. There many home decor items of rural country flair. I purchased one post card of Amish horse buggy with a farm field $0.50, one Pennsylvania shape magnet $1.99, and one lighthouse shape coaster $2.99. I have a small collection of post cards from travels. I actually needed a coaster for my workplace desk as I am currently using a makeshift coaster of my own arts and craft creation. I love lighthouses for the long history, significance, contribution to navy and maritime industry, including aesthetic of nature scenic local landscape emitting a sense of peace. I had worked for Walmart and an employee assaulted me bashing my knees with a 200 pound chair and there was 14 witnesses or more, but because there was no camera in the break room they coached all the witnesses not to say anything so that I could not get Workmen's Comp. for my permanent knee injuries.
