They are pretty no frills and don't offer much more value than taking a low-cost carrier. You have to pay for food and drinks, though they are priced rather reasonably for an airline. The seats on European flights are also smaller and there is no entertainment available. Check-in counter for BA at Munich Airport is located at Terminal 1A, but I had to trek to a different part of Terminal 1 to go through security. When I tried to enter through the security gate closest to the BA counter, it actually directed me to go elsewhere. Not sure why I couldn't go through since that security area is still part of Terminal 1. Also watch out where your gate is located. My gate back to Heathrow was weirdly located so I couldn't hear any of the announcements about boarding. I noticed people walking, so I had the sense to see what was going on. Otherwise I could have missed my flight. While I like BA's transatlantic service, their European flight service is about as good as taking a domestic flight in the US minus the free drink and snack. The in-flight service could be improved on, but unlikely due to the penchant for cost cutting.

I paid $140 for two seats that were clearly shown as a two seat row. When my wife and I boarded, we discovered the row actually had three seats. No one pays extra for a middle seat -- ever. My seat number was k6 and the seat has no cushion whatsoever, I had to stack pillows and blanket to prevent back pain Most incompetent company I've had to deal with. Called someone in Detroit to get information about the plane and flight, he gives me another number to call I believe it was in Chicago. I call that number, another person tells me we don't handle this, you have to call another number. Called that number, that person gave me the original Detroit number. I called Detroit back, another person answers and gives me the information I was asking to begin with. Not done yet. I finally check in and get on the plane, plane was gorgeous and flight attendants for most part were very hard working. Half the people on this flight were idiots, loud, arrogant, dirty and bathrooms even after a couple hours in flight were dirty, urine on the floor, clogged up sinks. Absolutely disgusting!!!! We ended up flying KLM from Aberdeen Scotland to Munich Germany on 9/18/23 to enjoy Octoberfest and some sight seeing. We left Aberdeen with a  layover in Amsterdam. When we arrived in Munich, we had 3 checked bags and they made us check our 2 carry on bags at the gate. My wife's main checked bag never made it to Munich. We asked around the airport what to do and got the run around for a good hour. We then looked for someone from KLM and they sent us somewhere else. After 2hrs we finally made a claim. My wife bought 2 authentic German Dirndl dresses just for this trip the wear to Octoberfest and these were in the missing Luggage. Tuesday we heard nothing all day to finally at 9:45pm I get an email the the bag was located and on a flight to Munich and expect a follow up email for delivery. Here it is Wednesday at 11:00pm and still no email or bag. Spent 2hrs on the phone getting the run around from KLM giving us numbers that are not in service or not the right division to help. We are attending Octoberfest again Tomorrow with still no Dresses that we spent several hundred dollars on. I would like to add while we were in the airport trying to figure out what to do about the bag a young woman approached us and said she had her bag lost and had a bad experience getting it delivered. We are not Happy With KLM at all and will never fly with them at all!

Yes that happened and then some! they lost all our luggage! for 3 days we were stranded in a foreign country without any of our clothes or belongings and it was Christmas Eve that we demanded to go back to their luggage area and digging ourselves. Our luggages were in the lost and found among hundreds if not thousands of them. just laying there waiting for someone has a gut to go back there to get it. Meanwhile, KLM staffs are busy chitchatting among themselves, and browsing media means to make sure no one leave any negative comments!

There was no announcement, no update on our digital boarding pass. With all the technology these days, you would think they would update or provide the correct gate number. When we went to the right gate, we wanted to confirm with the EasyJet representative at the gate. She was short and rude. It seemed like her conversation with her partner was more important than answering our inquiry. Not impressed with this airline so far.
