I had a breast reduction + lift with Dr. Brandon Specht and the whole experience was a 10/10! Not only did he accept my insurance (which as a teacher on a budget, was huge for me), he did a fantastic job from start to finish! From the consultation, to the surgery, and the post-op appointments, Dr. Specht was kind, knowledgeable, honest, and put my very anxious mind at ease. He even got my number and personally texted me the night of the surgery to check in on me! And he took the time out of his very busy schedule to answer my texts whenever I had questions or concerns. All of the nurses I saw at Turkle and Associates were also amazing (special shout out to nurse Kelsey)! I truly cannot recommend him and them enough. My left breast implant continues to migrate into my armpit, which is very visible in pictures taken for my modeling. I cannot comprehend how Turkle is this incompetent of a surgeon, let alone that she demanded I undergo psychiatric evaluation - merely for being a trans woman - to receive the surgery, which I paid for in full. She shouldn't even be practicing, and I'm speaking as someone who undergoes cosmetic surgery at least annually. I'm having to have another surgeon clean up the disaster she caused in my breast region, and I'm sure she'll respond to this review by trying to get it removed or making her requirements for transgender surgeries even more stringent. Doesn't change that you suck really badly, Turkle. Anyone wanting a cordial, talented, reasonably priced surgeon needs to check out Dr. Zukowski in Wilmette, IL. I had a great experience at Turkle and Associates. I had a breast reduction and lift February 2024. My consultant took place on a Saturday, which was super convenient. My husband was able to attend. The pre-operative work up was simple and done by phone. My surgery was outpatient and went smoothly as I went home the same day. I had follow up appointments. Dr. Turkle even called me the night after my surgery, that really meant a lot to me. She was kind, caring and very professional. The entire office staff was friendly and the surroundings are beautiful. My only regret is: I wait so long to have the surgery. Dr. Turkle does excellent work in plastics. I've been going to Dr. Turkle since 2015 for botox and I always look natural. She did a great job with my breasts in 2017 and my recovery was healthy and uneventful. Her staff has never been rude to me in the 7 years I've been going there. They have always returned calls quickly especially after surgery if I had a concern. Turkle tells you what will work and look good and if what I want won't look right she doesn't beat around the bush she just tells me. She will help you find what will look good though. I'm so surprised to read such negative reviews. Everyone I know loves her, the staff and the staff at Phases. My seven years of experiences with her and her staff have been nothing but nice and professional. read more

This review is more for the assistant girl they use and not so much Dr. Turkle, got Botox from the girl they use to inject it and she didn't go deep enough nor did she inject enough Botox, the lines in my forehead never went away and I believe I spent around $300. Went in and was greeted nicely. Haven't had Botox in a year. Obviously it's a big expense. The person that came into office had a bad bedside manner. I'm not even sure if it was the Dr. I've been shopping around for a comfortable place and this was not it. She was very negative about what I needed. She kept saying tell me what you want me to do. I felt very uncomfortable and had to exit. Won't be going back. I read the reviews before I went and should of went with my gut. If I could give zero stars I would ! Do NOT go here. I had a tummy tuck in 2019. I was left with a non existent belly button that consisted of a round flat scar on my stomach . She tried to fix it once and it ended up looking the same. I expressed my concerns and was told "sometimes this just happens." Several months later, I asked if she could try again and she said "I will but it probably won't work." I paid more money to have her fix it again and again it looked the same . Two years later I had to have a tummy tuck revision from another surgeon. I was super nervous about my first Botox appoint.... I have super sensitive skin and break out in hives when being waxed/ chemical peels/ or just using certain products. I was definitely nervous about getting Botox bc of that. I had Emily and she was amazing. She explained to me the side effects that could "possibly" happen and the only time in 20 yrs they ever had someone with those Any weird side effect. I ended up doing smaller doses of Botox on my forehead and around the eye. My appointment was at 11:30 and I went to work right after at 12:30 You couldn't tell anything was done! I had my " tummy tuck" done back in 2016. I have never been happy with the results or how I was treated from the get go. First off the day of the procedure we got all of the way home ( 90 minutes each way) and Dr. Turkle had not signed the prescription for the pain medication. When I called the nurse was incredibly dismissive and rude. She said that I would just have to drive back down and get it signed. I had just gotten home from surgery and was feeling awful and THEY dropped the ball and then I was treated that way! I was treated that way after paying 7k for a tummy tuck which come to find out was not done correctly. I only had loose skin removed. The incision ended up coming open and got infected and when I asked how that could have happened I was told " Who knows. Simple body mechanics. You might've just turned wrong". I was told I would be off work one week and it ended up being 6 weeks as I had to go to the office ( 90 minutes each way) twice a week and all staff would do was look at the wound, sell me tiny bottles of what they called a miracle cream, and tell me it was getting better. I ended up having to take a trip to the local emergency department ( even more $$) and the office and Dr. Turkle could not have cared less. I have a hideous scar and my stomach is lopsided and has been all along. When I asked Dr. T why the bottom of my stomach was flat and the top was not she said it was just swelling. Needless to say that is not the case. Let me also mention that I have a friend who went there and had the same complications. DO NOT GO HERE!!! And they still send me emails on a regular basis wanting to sell me on having different procedures- yeah right!! read more

My experience with Dr Turkle has exceeded my expectations from day 1. I scheduled consultations with other offices none of them giving me the same attention as Dr Turkle's. Her staff contacted me and we spoke on the phone for at least 20 minutes. The staff member I spoke with was knowledgeable and happy to answer all of my questions. I felt Dr Turkle was very personable and thorough during the initial consultation. She helped me select the right device to meet my needs/expectations. I'm 6 days post op and things are going great. The surgery went well and I've been recovering quickly. I've had my first post op appointment which was rather brief. I've never had surgery, wasn't sure what to expect. Dr. Turkle has terrible bedside manner. I should have followed my instinct from our first interaction but I blew it off. I had a tummy tuck and afterward, my incision came apart in several places. Instead of being concerned, she asked "what did you do?" I was in so much pain. I had to pack my wounds so they would finally heal. Dr. Turkle immediately released me back to work however, my PCP demanded I not return for 3 months. Thankfully my PCP submitted the paperwork to extend my leave. My incision finally healed, however I was disfigured due to the areas that came open. I went back to Turkle to see if she would do a scar revision. She was very dismissive and refused to accept responsibility. She also wanted to charge me again. We settled on trying to fix the scars under local anesthesia for a smaller fee. That was a disaster as well because I was awake and could feel every cut. Unfortunately, two of my friends went to her as well, and they both had complications. One friend's incision became necrotic and she needed a wound vac. She ended up fixing her incision but I think it was out of risk management if you know what I mean. Her staff is great BTW! They were really nice and empathetic. I say all this to say.......do not spend your money or put your life in the hands of anyone who clearly has bias, does not respect you, or care for you as a human being. Absolutely do not go here. I received a secret RF from an esthetician. Fried my face. I had horrible swelling and burns. They required that I come in almost daily for photos. They bullied me and slathered hydroquinone and steroids on my skin to try to cover up the damage. I am still left with hyperpigmentation in the shape of rectangles on my face from the laser end. Dr Turkle is an excellent surgeon. She is patient, kind, and a very experienced surgeon. I had saline breast implants and a lift 14 years ago by another surgeon. He retired so I decided to go to Dr Turkle to replace my implant because one of my saline implants ruptured in May of 2023. I decide to go to Dr Turkle because I have 6 friends who have been extremely happy with their entire surgical experience with Dr Turkle. I am so happy with my experience as well. My breasts look so much better with the gel implants she helped me pick using her special camera that enabled me to see what each type and size of implant would appear in my body. I had so much less pain after surgery and I was back to all normal activities in a little less than 6 weeks. I only needed to use pain medication for 5 days. I missed 4 weeks of work when I had surgery on my breasts 14 years ago. Dr Turkle let me schedule my sugery on December 23, 2023 that fit into my work & holiday schedules . Therefore, I didn't have to miss any work days to have my surgery. Her prep operation instruction were very easy to understand and all designed to help me be more comfortable and safe, Dr Turkle recommended a near by hotel only 4 minutes away so I could stay near the surgery center the night before my surgery and that allowed my husband after dropping me off and return back to the hotel during my surgery preparation, & recovery for over 4 hours in the morning. She called my husband after surgery to let him know I did well and was in recovery. This level of organization and customer service was far superior to my first plastic sugery experience 14 years ago. I wouldn't go to anyone else & I simply adore her as a patient & friend. I didn't have any problems with my recovery. My appointment was at 0800. I woke up late, so I called Turkle & Associates to see if they'd still be able to see me even though I'd be 45min late; and that I'd have to leave by 0930. The lady on the phone said this was fine. I actually got there at 0900. At 0915 I went to the front desk to ask if they could see me soon --- (even though I didn't want to because I was already an hour late, but I did) the NP, Amy, called me back 5 sec later. She was so sweet and told me not to worry about anything. I got 15units in my left masseter and 20units in the right, I was out of there at 0925 and made it to my 1000 obligation. I Had a breast reduction recently and got a MAJOR staph infection...I took the post-op very seriously. They had no urgency in taking care of the situation, as it continuously got worse. To me, the infection was down played. I am now left with horrible scars. I had a very negative experience with Botox at this practice. Rather than being treated by a doctor, my injections were given by a nurse. I should have been alarmed at the tight, plastic look of her own face, but rolled the dice. It was probably my 4th or 5th experience with Botox, and my derm was on leave so I went to Turkle. The Botox was injected into a vein, leaving a dark, painful bruise and swelling that lasted over a week. And the muscles weren't relaxing. I called the nurse, and she said it was common to hit a vein, and that I should just eat some pineapple. Seriously. Never been back and have happily returned to my dermatologist. read more
