We were here recently for a friend's birthday and I was more than impressed.
Situated on the first floor above other Sutton businesses, there's not a lot to give away the striking decor you'll find inside. It's fussy but tasteful, decked out in an orange colour scheme so overwhelming that you could be forgiven for thinking you've wandered into the home end at a Dutch International football match. Don't get me wrong, the look in no way overwhelms you, it just adds to the charisma of the place.
A serene balcony grants smokers a twilight view of Sutton at sunset, echoing the shimmering tangerine setting indoors. The staff are charmers too - really friendly and attentive to your every need. We were in a party of 20, but the staff made everyone feel like individuals as the Indian lager flowed, along with the classic Indian flavours. As we were such a big group our varied tastes could've clearly pushed a lesser chef to his limits, but the kitchen staff at Turmeric Jones were equal to their repertoire - every last one of us were happy with our dishes.
The waiters were only too happy to moonlight as photographers as well, taking some snaps of the party to help us remember a great night out! read more
