I was not at the home so I sent him a photo of where I KNEW there were drainage issues and asked him to please go by on a rainy day and evaluate for himself. He sent me a quote with a hand drawn estimate detailing exactly where he would be putting what for only 1 side of the back yard quoted $3625.00 I called him and asked about the other side and he had to go back out to due to photo only showing one side. I emphasize the reason that I asked him to please go on a rainy day and evaluate for himself. We also had some sprinkler issues which he was to deal with as well. He sent the second quote of $3325.00 (Total $6950.00) He sent me the updated proposal and we hired him. Things started out fantastic. He went above and beyond with checking sprinklers out and such and even recommended and installed a "Rainbird" irrigation control system to replace the irrigation control we had because he stated it was easier to use. We had some issues with flooding on the side. He went out of the way to help us here with shutting off something at the street and some other trouble shooting. We were also having an RV pad installed. The RV pad installer came out and staked the area prior to Clear Water doing any work. Something broke under the RV pad and they had to come back and re route it. This was known when they finished up, but they capped it for the time being. We moved into the house and the Rainbird that they installed was not marked what zone was what nor would the button to start, start the system so I called (or texted) and explained it was not turning on. (the back hose or something was off) He sent out a guy to turn it on and run through things, and set up to have the pipe re ran. The guys came out and re ran the pipes. I asked the crew on site if they knew the amount owed and the foreman said $575. for the re route and $150 for a service call. I asked if he could contact Jon and based on the fact we had already given him almost $8000 could he wave the service call fee. I came in and called Jon myself to which Jon told me the service call was now $150.00! I have never had to pay a service call when I paid for the service. I asked Jon for an invoice, he said he would, and then everything went silent. No return calls or texts for over a week. I called the main office and the woman who answered phone said she didnt see any work for me, but I told her the check had cleared. She stated Jon had to send me the invoice. It took my husband calling 2 weeks later, and then still no invoice or no reply. It was not until July 8th that I called the drainage supply company to ask if there was someone they knew that I can go to and that I wanted an invoice. The Drainage supply company must have told Jon I called and I got the invoice the next day. So what could have started out as a 5 star review, went south quickly over a $150 service call in addition to the work performed as well as taking over a month to get a final invoice. The result was not what we requested, and I ultimately had to go outside and remove what he installed and redesign the rock bed myself using the measurements I originally gave him. I gave him $900 for a sod order, but shortly after receiving the payment the order was cancelled by him because "we aren't ready" when really it was because he kept saying he was coming to do work then not showing up or communicating he was no longer coming as scheduled. Communication was very poor. He frequently did not show up when he said he would and did not notify us when he wasn't coming. He also brought his uncle to pour concrete. They stated they would coordinate rerouting the sprinkler line, but that never happened. When he turned on the sprinklers, I specifically asked him not to turn on zone 4 because the new concrete was there. He turned it on anyway, which cracked the brand-new concrete. At that point our yard was left dug up, rocks were placed in areas we never requested, and the overall condition of the property was messy. We decided it was best to part ways. When I requested a quote for the work that had already been completed (trying to be fair), and to use the $900 cash we paid for the SOD that was canceled by him. He initially said $425 would be returned. Shortly after, he changed that and said I should give him an additional $100 because the work was "hard." then he eventually tried say it should just be $225. So ultimately, he wanted $675 to half way grade the back yard and lay rock where we didn't request it. It has now been three days of being told the refund would be brought to our home, and he still has not refunded anything.

It's unlawful to begin noisy work until 8AM. He copped an attitude with me telling me he knew the law. I fired him before he had a chance to mow! Then I read his piddly reviews. He's a rude person, so no wonder he has terrible reviews. Stay away from him.
