Easy to call for an appointment even when they are so very busy, receiving a call back the same day, easy and full explanation of my results with any questions I have answered at appointment by Beth being easy to understand, and a reasonable fee. ALL easy! Professional, quick, accurate....all my favorite things where my money is concerned and at stake. Just love their service. And in such charming and comfortable surroundings! I requested that the return be mailed to us. Understand that when the return is finished, it goes to the IRS/State immediately. We are verbally told what we owe, but are not able to see the return. In order to be in compliance, I sent in what we owed on time, still without seeing the return. As the time to file approached, I called and inquired where our return was. "Oh, we are slow in assembling them this year. Did you want to come in and pick it up?" I asked when it would be available. "We don't know. We can call you." I waited. The day before the deadline, I called for the third time. "Oh, were were supposed to mail that to you?" was the response. I responded that I had requested a hard copy be mailed to me when we sat with our preparer and paid hundreds of dollars for the service. It wasn't until the end of April that we finally received our return. When you call, they very seldom answer the phone. Messages/requests for a return call are usually answered in the afternoon. Sometimes you don't hear back 'till the following day. Today I called to request a brief appointment. I was told that the person who prepared our taxes was on holiday and wouldn't return for several more weeks. I called again, no one answered, and I received a call back in the afternoon. I explained that we have a couple of questions. One, being a convoluted inquiry about taxes on an advance inheritance gift. "Can't you just tell me over the phone?" I responded that it was complicated and that we would like to meet face to face. "I am not sure I can answer that kind of question." I was told. I asked if there was someone else who may be able to help us. The answer was that others were on vacation as well. " I asked if we may come in on a Saturday or late in the day. "We don't do Saturdays, and we don't take late appointments." Joyce said. What is the latest appointment we may have?" I asked. "3 p.m." was the answer. I requested a Monday appointment. "No, Tuesday is better." was the answer. The conversation bordered on the absurd. Clearly, this office is not run with the intention of serving the client. I recommend you look elsewhere.

Since COVID we have used ZOOM instead of in-person meetings; we scan the 1099s and worksheets then upload to her portal. Her "Taxdome" web portal is an improvement which allows us to see past year tax returns and documents we have uploaded. Our past CPAs did not offer easy access to our filings and data.
