That was kinda disappointing considering we didn't come in too late. We each got our own plate which included our choice of meat, rice, fries and a salad. I went for their minced spicy beef which was pretty good. It went perfectly with their seasoned yellow rice which was delicious. The fries were also good but the salad lacked dressing and freshness. My sister got the chicken was from frozen but still very good. My dad got the royal plate which included almost all types of meats. It was huge but he loved it. We were all satisfied and pretty happy with our meals. The cost was about 50 euros for 4 plates of food. We thought the pricing was affordable considering how much food we got and how happy we were with our meals. Each plate was about 9 to 12 euros each. As for service, the owner handled everything himself and he did a great job. He made us feel welcomed and was very nice. I would recommend if you want a break from typical French food.

Upon arriving, I waited at the front for a few minutes before anybody even acknowledged me, once we sat down we waited another 10 minutes to even get a menu. They don't have enough menus, so we had to wait for the table next to us to finish with the menu before the waiter handed us their menus. Once we chose what we wanted, we waited another 5-10 minutes before we had to flag a waiter to take our order. We also didn't get any water/drinks for about half an hour after sitting down. The restaurant smells like sweat...and they do NOT give free water at all. The room is TOO loud, there's loud music, loud bar sounds and just overall loud general noises. Also the hostess wearing black yelled at multiple waiters a few times in front of guests so that was weird... Anyways, on to the food..... Portions are TOO small, ridiculously overpriced. The food didn't come out at the same time, one of six of us nearly finished her food before the rest of us got anything. The table besides us, had 5, and only 2 received their food and finished it completely before the other 3 received their food. We ordered 2 of the same plate, and only one came. Unfortunately for me I was the odd one out waiting another 14 minutes for my plate. The only positive, the food was actually good. It wasn't amazing, but it was good, except one of my kafta's was raw. They also offered us tea in the end to compensate for the awful service, just for them to never give it. Overall, congrats to this restaurant! This takes the cake as the WORST restaurant I've ever been to. Dreadful service and ambiance. Please come here if you want to lose your mind.

I wish I'd had time to try other items in that deli case--it would be perfect to carry back to an Airbnb with a fridge. To top it off the waitress, manager, owner was so friendly and working non-stop. I found it by walking past it on the street while exploring the shops and restaurants on Rue St. Jacques. I looked up, saw the bright new sign and looked through the window. When I saw the deli case, I was sold.

We went with a chicken and a beef durum that ran €9.50, which gave my Chase Sapphire Preferred card a much needed breather. I'm struggling to find adjectives that describe how good this soft flatbread was, and I'm rarely at a loss for words. The best I can come up with is "tangibly fresh." We started out with some kibbeh and lamachun. Both were wonderful and better than some of the same dishes we had in Turkey. I decided to have a little French flair and opted for some steak. It was an enormous portion and came with a delicious salad, some sauteed vegetables and frites. There was also a pepper sauce for the steak. It was all very good. The salad and veggies were delicious and the steak was well prepared....the "au poivre" sauce was also wonderful. I liked the fries but there was so much food I couldn't finish.
