Apparently, each little area is rented by a separate seller, so their selection is varied & is gigantic. The women working the front counter were SO sweet, & honestly, retirement goals. They held our items for us while we shopped, & were super chatty while we checked out, we loved it. Overall, I'd say there's a wide range of pricing for items (likely due to the fact that they're sold by different people). There were definitely some things that I passed on due to the price, but others were super reasonable. Even if you're not looking for anything specific, this spot would absolutely make you leave with a new purchase! I don't get down to Jordan much (this was honestly my first time lol), but I will absolutely be back, if only for this awesome store!

If you're down to scrounge, this place might be for you (I'd just urge you to wash your hands after). That said, I specifically went here today because I needed a stapler. Mine went missing when I moved (probably in some box I've yet to unpack in my storage unit), and there's zero need to purchase a brand new stapler when I know I can get an old reliable Swingline from a thrift place like this (plus, I remembered on my first amble through here that they had a whole basket of staplers). Sure enough, I was able to acquire a stapler. But you can bet your ass that I brought along some staples to test out said staplers... the first one I picked up had a busted spring, but the second was fully functional. Both had been priced at $3. I mention this simply as a word of warning to consider testing before you buy.) I also picked up a bobbin thread case and a quart sized bag of crayons (both priced at $3) while I was there. This place is good for finding the kind of craft stuff your granny would keep around at a low price. And honestly, you're doing the environment a BIG favor to snag this kind of thing off a thrift store shelf rather than "convenience buy" it off Amazon or whatever. You can save money and feel good about yourself. The rest of the store has stuff like glassware, clothing, kids stuff, and holiday decor. It's not all amazing stuff. I reckon a lot of folks donate stuff they don't care to sort through when an elderly parent finally kicks it. The employee behind the checkout counter was a little slow to bother acknowledging me, but once we were interacting, they were friendly enough and wished me a good day; seemed like they were happy I actually bought something instead of just browsing.

Could be a Hunt and Gather of the East without the hipster feel…read more J and I stopped in today looking for a gift for an old friend and found what we were looking for. There was a sign that said, "fairly cool" inside which was enticing in this heat. The owner was kind of enough to throw out my unwanted ice cream cone and then directed us over to what we were looking for. Place is jammed packed with lots of old stuff for a trip down memory lane. Lots of old treasures, luggage, furniture, signage, window panes and more downstairs. Will go back when it's not so hot out to take a look around. Trying to maneuver around a packed place sweating was not a good time, but found what we were looking for which made the visit worthwhile! If the NKOTB watch is still there... who knows? The owner is very nice and very helpful.

With antiques, I always end up looking at the item (a grungy, rusted metal box with a key) and looking at the price ($150) and wondering... wtf am I missing? I'm not obsessive enough to have an index in my brain of what rusted metal boxes from 1950 should cost. However, this place is solid. There's a huge selection of vendors, and unlike the madness of Mall of St. Paul down the street, it's not so much that you end up feeling like maybe the walls of knick-knacks from 1975 will collapse on top of you and you'll die in a pile of junky political pins and wrought-iron-everything. These vendors (with a couple of exceptions) arrange their things nicely and in an organized fashion that makes perusing here lovely. Plus, this is a small thing, but the lighting here is 100x better. Everything looks homey and gentle. I thought the prices in most of the spots were totally reasonable. I paid $30 for a beautiful lavender Scottish mohair shawl in incredible condition, and $45 for an antique sterling silver pin from Norway. I also appreciated how a couple of the vendors focused on antiques from Scandinavia. Given where we are in the country, that seemed like a perfect market fit, and if you're looking for gifts for someone who doesn't live in MN, they're a gold mine.
