(Note to men everywhere: we see right through this s**t, just like you see through our 'oh, it's a neck massager' schtick. It also didn't help that he purchased an NBA all-access pass.) The biggest problem was, well, its bigness. It was embarrassing. It was larger than the couch we would have watched it from. He didn't seem to mind this, but could see in my eyes (and the telltale steam coming from my ears) that it wasn't worth the domestic disturbance it was about to ignite, so we agreed to return it and potentially *potentially* get something smaller at a later date. Despite the horror stories we read online, The Good Guys were incredible about returning it. Sure we had to drive out to Chatswood, but when we arrived they took it back without question, refunded the amount we paid, and even refunded the $50 charge for shipping. I couldn't believe it - it was like returning something to Nordstrom and it made me go from very, very, very upset to wanting to return it for store credit and buy a few more unnecessarily large appliances that we don't need for our tiny flat. We didn't end up doing that, but I'm sure that if/when we decide on that 40inch, The Good Guys will definitely be the place we head first.

Sure we visited on a Thursday afternoon but still (I won't guarantee you'll find a rock star park at the front door on a Saturday) it didn't have any markers of "The ring of fire" feels a trip to IKEA usually emits. The products, layout and the Swedish meatballs haven't changed. Pro Tip: There's no self-service check outs.

This place reminds me that people LOVE their plants, and are happy to spend a weekend hunting for a car space in a hot parking lot, just to get themselves some green, and some big bags of over-fed soil. Flower Power is big, crowded and hard to wheel a trolley around in. But it does its best to offer EVERYTHING, and in that respect it does a more convincing job than Bunnings (at least in terms of plants, not so much in terms of pots and gardening accessories). My gripe is that it's not cheap at all, even though going to a big warehouse makes you feel like you're getting a good deal - but the price tags tell another story. The health of the plants is generally quite good, though. The staff seem quite knowledgable but generally you will be left alone to wander (for hours, if you like), in this sprawling place.
