Not just an appointment place fee, I paid for the whole thing, the jewelry and piercing cost. The piercing itself was fine. Clean single use needles and it wasn't exceptionally painful or anything. I have two things to critique: 1) my own experience: I do not like needles. It's hypocritical I know but alas I have 12 piercings. I have gotten pierced at 4 different studios and have visited 2 other studios for piercing change outs and check ins/ trouble shooting. I have always been treated very well even if I was scared of the needles, except here. The piercer was rude to me about me being scared of needles and just made my appointment extremely uncomfortable with her comments. 2) I had a friend who got pierced here and she was thinking about down sizing her piercing bc she had gotten it pierced a while ago and when I looked at her ear I realized she got pierced with a standard size piercing length. Which to be fair I am not a piercer, but usually me and all of my friends have been pierced with longer piercings in case of swelling and her ear was not swollen at all and the front and back of the piercing was flush with her skin. If her ear would have swelled at all it would have been very painful bc of how tight it is.

My violin is a handmade instrument by a friend of the family. He only made 7 violins and only 2 worked. It has imperfections and isn't the greatest violin, but it's special to me. When it was time for my tattoo, Kathy had my plan ready to go. (She is so organized!) we chatted a bit as she determined how I wanted it on my arm. I wanted to verify it a few times. And she was patient as I rotated it and such. Her inking on my arm was not nearly as painful as the previous time I got ink done! This was totally tolerable. Some artists drill in with a heavy hand. And Kathy is not one of them. I have been planning this tattoo and figuring it out for 3 years. I don't put ink on me unless I am completely certain. I just moved to this area and I feel incredibly lucky to have found such a skilled ink artist to do my dream tattoo! She and I chatted happily about things we have in common and the time flew by. My daughter was concerned about the pain but Mike is so gentle, didn't even know he was leaving his mark on you. They are by appointment and they accept walk-ins if there is space and time. Dreamland was actually recommended by another shop and I'm glad they did cause I left extremely satisfied as a walk-in customer. I have a latex allergy and both Sarah and Mike looked high and low for latex free gloves to ensure my allergy did not flare up. This small violin shop is a definite must for anyone who is looking to either rent or purchase an…read moreinstrument. The owner runs the shop and is so down to earth! No pressure, no rushing, you are free to try out as many instruments as you like. Being a newby to violin, my son and I were a bit intimidated to walk in and select a violin to rent as this shop is different from all of the other rental shops around. At those you are "given" a preselected set, a violin and bow in a case. You don't have an opportunity to compare any violins as one is just handed to you when you sign the contract. With Betty, you tell her what you are seeking and she will personally identify a number of violins that she thinks might suit you, and you play them to find the right one for you! A bit intimidating for the faint-hearted, but we made it an adventure and learned so much about how violins can be so different from each other! I am sure that we will return for our upgrade as my son advances and needs a new instrument, either to rent or to purchase. She carries used and antique instruments as well. This small shop appears to be a hole in the wall yet once you walk in you will find many treasures to delight your eyes and ears! A definite must for anyone seeking a new violin! But be sure to set aside some time in your schedule as you will be surprised at how many instruments there are to select from at very reasonable prices too!
