Shu helped us select the perfect quartz for our kitchen and bathroom. Because I needed to see a larger piece to truly understand how it would look, she called me within one day and arranged for the workers in the yard to cut a large sample from the slab. That extra effort made the decision so much easier. Emre was extremely pleasant and easy to work with. He gave us an excellent price and took the time to explain how to care for the quartz and how the warranty works. The person who came to measure was also terrific. He suggested several changes that made a great deal of sense and improved the final result. The installers were fabulous. We were keeping our existing backsplash, so I was concerned that it might be damaged when they removed the old granite countertop. They completed the removal with only one tiny sliver coming off the backsplash--and they repaired it so perfectly that you cannot even tell anything happened. Everyone at Island Granite was professional, knowledgeable, careful and accommodating. I highly recommend this company to anyone planning to update a kitchen or bathroom. The work was never completed to industry standards, and we were left with numerous serious issues, including defective workmanship and damage to our home -- including a basement flooding incident that occurred during the course of the work. Despite having a signed contract with clear expectations, those terms were not followed, and attempts to resolve issues or have the work properly completed were unsuccessful. We paid for a quartz countertop listed in the contract $1500 and he put in Formica. We are still taking the steps to get our money back but I want to warn everyone We also had serious concerns regarding licensing and insurance. Documentation that was provided raised questions about whether proper credentials and coverage were in place, which we found out he lied and is not licensed with Suffolk county and he forged his photocopied picture of it. This is all very alarming as homeowners trusting someone to work in our home we would have never hired him. There were ongoing concerns about professionalism and respect for our property. While I was nine months pregnant and we had our own dogs, the contractor brought his personal dogs INTO OUR HOME, allowed them to urinate throughout the backyard, and repeatedly left the front door open, which resulted in our dogs getting out and roaming the street while we were at work -- an unsafe and upsetting situation. There were also instances of unprofessional conduct on site, including making messes in bathroom areas and yelling at employees, creating an uncomfortable environment. We have had to spend significant time and resources addressing unfinished work and correcting problems that should never have occurred. Home renovations are a major investment, and homeowners deserve transparency, accountability, and professionalism. Based on our experience, I strongly recommend that others look elsewhere.

I called but was skeptical. The owner Mike personally showed up to my house and diagnosed the problem, explained what needed to be done and showed me photos of jobs he did with the same problem. He then quoted me half of what the first company did and did the job a couple of weeks later. Mike showed up with his workers the day of the job and explained everything to me as they did the job. They seemed very knowledgeable and obviously have been doing this work for many years. The job was very clean, no corners were cut, and they seemed to enjoy the back breaking work. I hope I never need them again but if I do I would not hesitate to call or recommend them. What was refreshing also was that Mike seemed like a very honest person and his pricing was very good while at the same time not cutting any corners.
