Tuesday night pizza deal can't be beat - a great value, for sure. We ordered two pizzas for the table, and even though they were busy, they arrived reasonably quickly. The staff in the ballroom were working hard, but there weren't enough of them. Drink refills were slow, and follow up after food arrived was almost non-existent. The ballroom is ok if you into relatively loud music - karaoke was that night, but it was cold there. The seating around the outside of the ballroom is also not ideal - the tables are situated too far from the wall benches, and it is not comfortable to eat that way. I'd sit in the restaurant next time. Hopefully with time, they'll get these things straightened out. read more

Went to a function on Saturday June 13. There was a singer who you couldn't hear, because the acoustics were awful. The food was horrible, Salmon was very fishy, could only eat a few bites and both my husband and myself got sick that night. We will never eat in this restaurant again read more

Our experience was extremely disappointing--without question the worst restaurant experience we've ever had. When we arrived, there was no host at the front, and we stood waiting for about seven minutes before anyone acknowledged us and seated us, even though the restaurant was not busy. Our server approached the table, abruptly dropped off two glasses of ice water, and asked, "What are you drinking today?" without introducing herself or even greeting us. We ordered wine, but after waiting 15 minutes, we noticed our glasses had been prepared and were sitting on the bar while she walked past us several times without bringing them over. When my husband politely asked if she could bring the wine, she responded, "I have three people ahead of you." We explained that the wine had already been sitting there for over 10 minutes, which seemed to annoy her. We ordered fish and steak, then waited another 30 minutes before our salads finally arrived. Unfortunately, the salads were poor quality and didn't even appear fresh. At that point, we had completely lost our patience and decided to leave without finishing our meal. my wife and I went here for dinner Sunday with a couple of neighbors and our very good friend Graham Ledger. we had a reservation for 5 at 6pm. They had a very nice booth for us. our waiter did a great job and was very pleasant. This place used to be called Mama Leones. The place was very crowded so I was glad we had a reservation. This is a very upscale Italian restaurant so dress nice we went in with some friends to have dinner and two hours later we were finished. This is not a place where you go eat and leave. It's an experience. I had the spaghetti and meatballs with vodka sauce, it was really good. My wife had some sort of chicken sandwich. She said it was OK. Our friend had the shrimp scampi and he said it was just OK . The rest of our friends had a sorted Italian. They said it was OK nothing outstanding. It was kind of pricey. Sounds entertainment in the bar seemed fun and I think you're paying for the atmosphere because it was tremendous. I'm not sure I would go back to eat. My wife said she would go back and try the pizza anyway they had a pretty cool bar, which I'll include a couple pictures. read more

Everyone in our party of 5 had something different to eat. Everyone enjoyed their meal. My Veal Parm was not quite as tender as I like but still tasty(therefore the good rating). Service was excellent. They are under new owner ship and will be changing the name soon but you can reach them at the same phone #. It was so nice to finally try Tuscany Nokomis! We were greeted by friendly smiling faces and seated quickly. They had Troy singing some oldies and goodies. He had a crooners voice and ladies, he was gorgeous to look at! Not long after we were seated, the owner Jimmy came by and spoke with us, making us feel welcome and giving us a little of his background. Very friendly and fun guy! The food: The special was Jimmy's famous Ossu Busco which is what I had. It was on point with very unique flavors. The meat melts in your mouth it's so tender! Absolutely delicious! We dined at Tuscany Nokomis this past Thursday and tried their special, the (Osso Buco). Between you and me, I really did enjoy it--however, I happen to like this particular dish better at another spot in town. That said, Tuscany's version was still very good: flavorful, tender, and well-prepared. The bone slipped right out, and the portion was generous for the price. The creamy risotto it was served with was also quite good--I added a bit of grated cheese and a pinch of salt to suit my personal taste. The asparagus were a bit thin, but fresh and tender, and the hollandaise sauce that came with them was clearly homemade and absolutely delicious. Our waiter was friendly and attentive, and our cocktails were perfectly balanced. Overall, a lovely dining experience and definitely worth a visit if you're in the area. I went last night with my sister, her husband and my boyfriend. It took forever to get our drinks. We ordered our food. I ordered Pork Milanese. When the food came, a bowl of spaghetti was put in front of me. I asked the waiter " what is this?" He said Pasta bolognese. I said "I ordered Pork Milanese" He said he misunderstood and would take the pasta back and get the correct item. I didn't want to do that because everyone else had their food. It turns out, Pasta bolognese, to them is spaghetti in meat sauce. My sister had ordered the same as me and she too got the pasta. We cracked up laughing. The food was not very good. My boyfriend's sausage was burned and the pizza was not good. We took home most of the food to feed the outdoor animals. read more

Met a friend for an early dinner in early March. Happy hour is from 3 - 6 with 1/2 price cocktails. The restaurant has a quietly elegant appearance with a piano bar area, white linen tablecloths and staff professionally dressed in black and white. There was live music which added ambiance without being too loud. After fasting we were starving! My husband and I both chose from the early bird menu while our friend chose from the standard menu. Early bird menu items come with a choice of salad or soup, an entree with your choice a side. Warm chunks of slightly cheesy garlic bread arrived quickly to the table. The salads were fresh and of a generous size. My husband chose chicken Marsala w/ duchess potatoes and I had the salmon on angel hair pasta with a lemon butter sauce. Both dishes came with perfectly cooked broccoli. Our friend had fettuccini with bolognese sauce in a huge bowl. We decided to indulge in dessert. Crème brûlée, death by chocolate (cake) and a chocolate tartufo were all delicious. The server Alison gave us just the right blend of service: attentive without hovering. Food was good but it took 50 minutes for a table on a Tuesday and they only told us 20 minute wait. It two hours from the time we sat down until we had food for overall a 3 hour long visit even when we ordered right away and expressed we had quite a drive home. We ended up being one of the last in the restaurant and it felt like the service slowed once the rush was over. Well...here goes: Valentine's Day - $55 per person (not bad)...Food was a different story: BAD! They opted to do a buffet-like arrangement, which was a good idea to keep the guests moving, set outside, in the cool evening...not bad, however NOT keeping the food hot...but THE FOOD! Chicken Parm was like you get in a tv-dinner...soggy, (over-breaded soggy) the chicken Marsala tasteless and it was lukewarm at best, fried shrimp...(if you could find the shrimp in the breadcrumbs) was like something you get in a bad at the frozen isle in Walmart, TERRIBLE! The roast beef wasn't bad, but sliced soooo thin you could see through it (true, you could go back again and again) but do you really want to do that???some of the veggies weren't bad, but again, lukewarm. Hated it! We'll probably go back for a regular dinner (as we have in the past) but never again would I take the chance on the buffet route! Tuscany Nokomis is our favorite place for dining and entertainment, the food is exquisite and the prices are reasonable. On our last dinner this past Saturday my husband had the Steak Dianne and Chef Jimmy came to our table to cook it to perfection for him. My husband said it was the best steak he ever had especially with the touch of Cogna chef Jimmy added at the end! Disappointing and Unprofessional We had been to Tuscany Nokomis several times before and always had good experiences, which is why I chose it for what I hoped would be a special night out with my elderly grandparents. Even with a 6:30 PM reservation, we weren't seated until 7:15. The restaurant was extremely busy, but the service felt disorganized and inattentive. Our server talked a lot about how busy things were and promised us her "full attention," yet we were left waiting for long stretches. The food arrived cold, and while free tiramisu was offered, it didn't make up for the overall experience. After dinner, my mother and I went into their new, separate ballroom. We ordered cocktails and a glass of wine. Since it was opening night, we tried not to complain, but we genuinely didn't like the wine and politely asked for that one glass to be removed. What followed was shocking. The owner came over and began yelling aggressively at us about how much he paid for the band and how it wasn't his problem -- all over one glass of wine. Later, I spoke with his wife in the parking lot and received no apology, only excuses and dismissal. This experience completely changed how we feel about this place. Stress is never an excuse to treat customers this way. We will not be returning. read more

When the caprice salad arrived we thought they brought the wrong order. Looked like watermelon not tomatoes. Thick non ripe tomato with mozzarella cheese on each slice and then the basil. No balsamic glaze. Asked the owner and he said the glaze is under the basil. One drop? Anyway, eventually she cut into it and ate the cheese but the tomato was a whole tomato skin. No pulp. Told the owner we didn't want to pay for this and he said he "didn't want to hear no lip. That was a rose garnish." I said you "and you hide the garnish under the cheese?" He again said he "didn't want to hear no lip that we were drunk." He then walked away. Guess what. We walked away too. Never again. read more

I'm so sad about this. I wanted to love it. My husband and I got there about 6:30 on a Saturday (8/2) evening and there was a small wait to be seated so we opted to sit at bar. There was a Frank Sinatra Act - top notch, best part about this. Our bartender was Kenneth. We started with Pellegrino while we looked over the drink menu. (Which was the only menu we were given) It took Kenneth awhile to come back. (10/12 minutes) I'm going to note that the bar wasn't really busy. I asked for food menus. He gave me one special menu & one dinner menu. My husband ordered a dirty martini, and when Kenneth brought that, I ordered the mini meatball pot off the specials (5 mini meatballs) and again, Kenneth was off. A long time again goes by (at least another 12-15minutes), we still only had the one set of menus. Kenneth walks past (didn't stop) and I ask for another set of menus, and if he had put in my order for meatballs. He said yes, handed me menu set and was off. Easily another 12-15 minutes went before we were finally able to place our order. Still no meatballs. It got to the point our pellegrino was empty, my husband was ready for another drink, and our bartender was not in sight. My husband headed to the restroom and saw him on the other side of the bar just chatting with another bartender My husband told him he were in need of everything. He rushed over and refilled our drinks and assured me my meatballs were coming When we finally received our food, the whole order was wrong. My husband didn't get at all what he ordered. (NY strip MR side pasta - out came something that looked like ribs covered in bbq sauce with onion rings and broccoli) The 2 huge meatballs that came out with our meal that were not the meatball appetizer special we ordered and my chicken parm was chicken parm but I requested and was charged for bolognese that was not in sight. We returned my husbands meal and just asked for a box and the check. We got our check and it was also wrong. The wrong meatball charge, a charge for chocolate milk we didn't have. Chargers for bolognese e didn't get. At this point, it was 8pm and we were just over it and the other bartender (Taylor) just found the whole thing funny and made comments about us hating Kenneth and asking how our chocolate milk was When I asked to correct the bill, Kenneth took off the chocolate milk but charged for the second pellegrino, removed my husbands meal but not his upcharge for the bolognese he requested on his pasta side. From start to finish, it was a bad experience- I'm giving two stars purely because of the Frank Sinatra entertainment I wish we had just waited for a table, it probably would have been a better experience. And I can't really advise to the quality of the food, since I didn't eat it hot and my husband ate Friday leftovers when we got home This was a Saturday date night bust ‍ I highly doubt we will be back. Edited to add- during this 90 minutes of bad service, my husband and I also watched the owner approach a table near us and say to a woman "I hear you didn't like my chicken." When you're here, you're family. This is not an Italian Bistro or brick oven gourmet pizza spot. It is a super cozy, comfy, family style Italian eatery with a big menu, fun open Italianate decor, a nice bar area. tasty food, friendly service, and sizable desserts. My lil wanted to go back again the next day for another dessert. And she looooves calamari. The pizza is solid. The salads are impressive. I like this place. Sierra took good care of us. They have patio seating. They have a nice bar area under a dome with TVs. The rest of the dining area is cozy with tables and booths. They serve warm garlic bread with dinner. I'm a senior Italian grandmother and in my life I have never had worse food! There is nothing Italian or Tuscan about this place. All three dishes we ordered were completely subpar. The gnocchi were a bad joke and looked like roasted tater tots and were baked not boiled and the clams and pasta were swimming in a mystery liquid and the pasta was limp and overcooked. The food and drinks were wonderful. My chicken parm was so very moist and tender. Plus, the service was outstanding. I'm giving 5 stars, but I do wish the owners/management would lighten up on the cleaning fluid smell. We were there first for the early bird special and we were struck with an eye-tearing cleaning smell as soon as we walked in. Even when we were seated, we could still smell it. Please use something to clean that is aroma-free, or clean much earlier than you open. Trust me, this is not what you want your customers to experience.
