Without a doubt, our experience at RLC so far has been a positive one, so I'll comment real quick on the things that we've had to adjust to the most. The amount of guidelines/policies/procedures seemed a like a lot at first. However, after being here for a few months it hasn't been a big deal because most of them have either become routine, or they have been relaxed (you could tell a lot of the policies had been written so that they could continue to operate after the COVID shutdown was lifted, or to make continuous adjustments as the world has continued to evolve these past 2+ years). There are assigned time slots for drop-off & pickup, which required a little extra flexibility on our end, again not a big deal once you become used to your new routine. If you're a new parent and you're experiencing all of this for the first time, I can assure you that you're not going to be asked to abide by any rules that you won't have to follow at other preschools or daycares, so I think it's unfair for anyone to hold these things against RLC. For context, prior to attending RLC, my kids attended a home-based daycare which was pretty lackadaisical in the way it was run. Our experience there wasn't a bad one, but it really highlighted that RLC is more than just a place for your kids to go during the day - you can tell they play hard when they aren't learning, and it's the amount of learning that has impressed me the most. My 4yo was already enrolled in preschool before we started here, but when it comes to the amount of learning that is taking place I see it the most in my 2 year old. Even at that young of an age, they are already picking up on a lot of the stuff that is being taught in public preschool, and I can tell that it is working because both kids tell us all about it when they come home. I have no doubts that my 2yo will be more than ready for kindergarten when her time comes! In addition to that they throw themed holiday parties for the kids, they do lots of activities, and spend a lot of time outside (there is a fantastic fenced-in back yard with playscapes and outdoor toys). Overall I'm happy to have found this place. Ms. Becky is pretty down to earth and the teachers are all great too. Most of all, the amount of fun and learning that the kids are experiencing here makes it 100% worthwhile! read more

This experience was the most stressful 5 months of my life, and I work in health care and have done so, daily, during the global COVID pandemic. Rebecca's Learning Center (RLC) was short staffed and now employs young, inexperienced staff, who have NO authority to assist parents with questions or concerns when the Director/Owner is unavailable. Due to the short staffing, our days and hours of care as well as drop off and pick up times were often changed with no apparent consideration to the fact that I work outside the home, with the public and cannot be late to work. Every encounter with the Director/Owner required tremendous flexibility on our part as parents and was filled with extreme rigidity on the Director/Owner's part. The massive amount of ever changing rules and policies were overwhelming to say the least; many of which were outlined in long emails sent to families during all hours of the night. These emails were consistently filled with "flight of ideas", along with random, inconsistent thoughts. I had to check my email every morning, while getting ready for work and my child for daycare, to ensure I knew the latest procedure. Director/Owner conversations and emails include a constant underlying threat of "immediate dismissal". In fact, the Director/Owner has in the past, expressed to me, gleefulness regarding families that were banned from RLC. Our own experience includes false accusations from the Director/Owner through an email communication. Personally, our experience was a unilateral, unwarranted removal from daycare as notified in a 3:33AM email from the Director/Owner, when we needed and expected daycare at 8:00AM. This email/ dismissal followed a request for communication per the Director/Owners own words of "feel free to call me anytime". As I tried to communicate with the Director/Owner (2 emails and a text) at her convenience regarding an issue, I received a threat of attorney involvement (I have no problem with that) and authorities. In addition, I was falsely accused of bullying and harassing her and staff when in fact, it feels as if the Director/Owner bullied and harassed us for 5 months. As a new parent in the daycare system, this was a horrific experience. I do not recommend Rebecca's Learning Center in any way, shape or form. read more

I was changing jobs and was extremely spoiled with an on-site daycare run by a hospital system. My husband and I search for quite a while and interviewed many daycares. Rebecca's continued to become highly recommended not only from referrals but also from a family member. After interviewing her along with the other daycare's, we made the decision based on extremely high expectations. Becky has very high expectations of her staff because she has high expectations and requirements that she has implemented for the children. She is very strict and ensures her staff follows through including safety precautions. We also like the sons of family atmosphere and the camaraderie with the other families that we had developed throughout the years. Our son, at the time flourished with the learnings and social skills. The thing that we also loved ones that she has so many outside activities and was very safe and cautious with all the activities. It was an easy decision when we had our daughter and where she should go even though there was a six year age gap between both kids. When we returned back to Rebecca's learning Center after being away for several years, it did not change. What we mean by not changing is that she still had very high expectations of learning requirements, safety precautions and expectations that are staffing to nothing but the best to take care of the kids so they were in a safe and learning environment. It was the best decision that we ever made and it was a easy transition for our children to go from the learning center, preschool and then actually leaving Rebecca's into kindergarten. Our children are still friends with the kids that they went to daycare with because Becky made it a family environment for all. If you're looking for a great daycare, I would highly recommend this outstanding environment and learning center read more

Amazing staff with so much heart and caring mindset. They take such great care of my baby boy; it makes me happy to send him off every morning and know they will care for him. We love RLC! After looking into and visiting too many schools, my husband and I walked in, and we knew it was the school we wanted to send our son. The classrooms are what we remember when we were kids, they were colorful and full of work the children and teachers did. You just get this good and positive energy as soon as you walk in! Come to find out my neighbor's children both graduated from RLC and absolutely loved it and because of what they learned at RLC they then thrived when they started kindergarten at the private school. It's wonderful that it's an educational based facility with the small ratio of children and magnificent teachers and exposes your child to various aspects of learning through sensory and play. The school is clean and incredibly detailed. The management is really committed to supply a safe, fun, and loving environment and we're very thankful to Rebecca and the whole team at Rebecca's Learning Center! read more

This is a wonderful day care. I had 2 boys at the age of 2 and 3 years attend Rabecca's learning center and it was the best place. My boys had so much fun, while they were learning the essentials they needed for entering kindergarten. I still have pictures that the owner had taken, and she also made a album for each of my boys for the two and three years they were there. They celebrated holidays with Easter, egg, hunts, Thanksgiving, and she celebrated Christmas at a separate location that served dinner for all the families. She had Santa Claus there with a presence and a gentleman that had a reptile business, and brought in all kinds of lizards and reptiles for the children to see hands, and there were just so many other celebrations . Rebecca even had a graduation with red caps and gowns for when they finish preschool and we're ready to enter kindergarten at the local schools. Over the past year and a half working at rlc , I have seen why our families stay at rlc for so long rather it be there first child going through our program or the second child. All the teachers go above and beyond what are expected of them along with the owner, Miss Rebecca. Because we are a smaller day care ,The children and families get to build a bond with each other. The children learn together and grow together rather it be there first steps, their colors or learning to spell their first and last name at circle time. We are always finding new and fun ways to teach. We do themes each week and often times have special guests for the kids , we do summer camps and are known for our parties. Rlc is huge on the safety of the children , their happiness and respecting the children's creativity. This is the kids home away from home, and If I had children I would take them here in a heartbeat. read more

My husband and I were reluctant to send our son to daycare. We ended up originally sending him to a corporate daycare in the area and had a horrible experience, which resulted in us pulling our son out. After we met with Rebecca, we felt incredibly secure sending our son to a place where the owner is very much involved. Our son loves going to RLC. Not only does Rebecca do a fabulous job keeping parents in the loop, but her employees are truly amazing. The teachers are very interactive and help the children learn new things such as: the other children's name in the school, ABC's, numbers, songs, assist in potty training - the list goes on and on. After touring and interviewing multiple daycare facilities, I am confident to say that RLC is hands down the best child care in the area. As a young mom, it was difficult for me to leave my son after spending his first five weeks with him. I had to go to work. I have checked many local baby care places in the areas of Walled Lake, Farmington, Commerce, and White Lake. Rebecca's welcomed me just with the right level of trust. My son was well taken care of for the entire two years, he was fed the milk that I have pumped and sent to school with him for him. He was carefully watched and provided with his growth necessary activities. Caring and responsible personnel were all a good listener and I had no worries about my son's day. I could work in peace. My son started at RLC in August 2023 at 5 months old and we are still happily at RLC nearly 2 years later. The teachers are so caring and attentive and our son LOVES going every day. They manage to balance education, play, health & safety and teaching intersocial skills while keeping things fresh year over year. The staff go the extra mile to make holidays and special events exceptional for both the kids and parents. Knowing my son is happy and in such wonderful care makes this an easy choice to keep him enrolled. Being objective, the current core hours of 8-430 can be a challenge for some work schedules, but we can make it work because we are so happy here. My son has been attending RLC since he was almost 2 years old and he has been loving it ever since. Coming from a bad experience with a bigger daycare provider, meeting Becky and the teachers was a breath of fresh air. The amount of things and activities they have ready for the kids every week shows their commitment and passion for caring for each individual child and making sure they are well prepared for kindergarten. Both of my children attended RLC and it made going back to work so much easier for me!!! I could see how much Becky and all the staff enjoyed working with the children, and even more how much my kids loved going to RLC. I never had crying meltdowns when dropping off - kids ran in, put belongings into cubbie and ran off to play!!! Also, the center had both my kids beyond ready for kindergarten. As an employees point of view working for Rebecca's Learning Center, my experience has been great. I've been able to witnessed how much that she's done for the kids/teachers/families/employees. She's does many things for the daycare like weekly themes and activities. She also puts together fun activities/ceremonies for the kids and families. We have been with RLC since 2018, and have two kids currently enrolled, and another on the way! We wouldn't dream of going anywhere else. RLC is family and we love being able to send our kids to a place where we all feel safe. They have so much fun and have made great friends! RLC has been absolutely phenomenal in not only caring for my son, but also working with me and my family as I transition from a SAHM to a working single parent.
