The class size was just right, enough people to make it fun and social, but still small enough that everyone got involved. Chef Mica kicked things off by giving us an overview of the history of the area, its chile traditions, and the differences between the peppers we'd be working with and seeing around the city. That context added so much depth to the cooking, it wasn't just a class, it was a cultural experience. Each of us prepared a different type of relleno, and then at the end we all sat down and shared the full spread together buffet style. It was such a fun way to learn, connect, and taste a variety of chiles without spending hours cooking everything on your own. It was well organized, engaging, and easy to follow. My anxiety did kick in once I realized other people would also be eating what I made, but we made it through and I loved what I got, the jalapeno poppers. You can feel the passion in what the chef does and everything ran very smoothly even though we were the last done lol Come hungry and ready to learn! We walked away with some new skills, a deeper knowledge of peppers, and some great recipes we can't wait to try at home. This truly will be memorable for us!

Our class was on salsa sauces with different peppers and home made tacos. The class started with the chef walking us through the printed recipes and what was wrong with them. (Maybe redo these with correct recipes? And then go right to cooking and teaching?) Then we all chopped and cooked. At the end we got to taste everybody's products.

Highly, highly recommend…read more Alena was such a great contribution to our planning and execution of our wonderful wedding day. We are so grateful for her professionalism and experience, as she organized all of the vendors and kept our wedding on a timeline. Not only is she a great wedding planner, but she genuinely was excited for us and shared in our love and joy for the months leading up to our event. It is obvious how much Alena loves her job. I hope she is able to continue to grow her business and share her skills with many more couples for years and years to come. Thank you Alena!!!!

Alena is extraordinary. Absolutely top notch - she is a total cut above the rest! I run anxious and…read moreI was incredibly worried about everything going well (after having lost my first wedding venue in California and needing to put together a totally new wedding in NM in 5 months, I was especially concerned). Since I live in CA, I was working with Alena remotely, which could have caused problems with someone less capable. No problems at all with Alena, her work was A+. Not only was I able to 100% trust Alena with all of my worries and details, but she went above and beyond in every way during my wedding in Santa Fe in August. She will have every detail that is important to you in her brain day of, and make sure that it happens precisely as you want it to happen. She will solve problems before they even get to you. She will be a shepherd to you and your spouse on your big day - not pushy, but not a pushover. There in exactly the way you need her. She knows her craft, and she executes like the expert she is. She is worth every single penny and more. She has a calming, but kickass presence that will complement you in whatever way your personality type needs. Her organizational skills and professional demeanor truly impressed us during the whole lead up to the wedding and the day of. She managed all of our vendors with elegance, but a get-it-done attitude as well, and they had great things to say about her to us as well. I wish I lived in New Mexico so I could work with Alena on more events. She is unbelievable. Hiring her was the best decision of our entire wedding - and my husband and I say that every time we reminisce about our big day. She made it even better than I imagined...which I did not think was possible!!

This is a Hilton location that comes with great service. People are always friendly. We got in way…read moreearly around noon and they were able to check us into a room right away. Room was on the second floor, the lobby level and was quiet. The closet was in the bathroom. But the sliding door was not properly secured and made a lot of noise. Not a big deal. The mini fridge was a bit odd (it doesn't open on the right side, but close to the hinged side... if this makes sense). Awkward to use. We were three people checked in for three nights. The room came with two bath towels. The shower gel was empty. The tissues are running out. Called front desk and someone came in timely to give a newly filled bottle of shower gel and some additional bath towels. We put up the privacy signs. Their trash bin was very slim.... With kids in the place, it was constantly knock over and doesn't hold much. I know we were meant to order room service. But the tissue ran out on day 2. the bin was mostly full with the tissue box disposed. Though only on 2nd floor, our room was quiet. I used the gym for Friday morning workout. Dumbbells were great. There were quite a few people on Friday morning for both cardio and weight training. The outdoor pool seems nice but it was cold and outdoor fireplace needs to be lite to be warm enough to use. I had the most problem with their restaurant. See separate reviews. I appreciate the parking here on site in the plaza. It does come with $31 per day price tag. Overall, I felt thar housekeeping to prepare the room was rushed (zero shower gel when we checked in, tissue ran out on day 2, toilet paper ran out on day 3). We barely used much of the tissues either. But we are grateful to have a room ready around noon. This is a hotel accommodating folks from different time zones. Their breakfast ends at 10am while it is 9am PST. Restaurant here was a bit frustrating for us (ie Lunch hour ends at 2pm but no lunch was served at 1:05pm). Other than some minor issues, we were happy here overall.

This used to be our go-to hotel whenever we visited Santa Fe. After 15+ years of family trips and…read morestays here, we'll unfortunately be looking elsewhere. The biggest issue is security. During our most recent stay, our vehicle was one of at least three that were broken into with many very large/heavy items stolen overnight while parked in the hotel's paid parking lot. The lack of security measures, whether cameras, patrols, or staff presence, was disappointing and left us feeling unsupported after the incident. What was even more frustrating was management's response. When the answer to multiple vehicle break-ins is as we were told by the GM - there's nothing we can do and that cameras don't deter theft or help identify thieves - it's time for us to stay somewhere else. We understand that crime can happen anywhere, but guests paying for parking should reasonably expect the property to take security seriously and make an effort to protect them. What makes this especially difficult is that we've always loved this property. The hotel has a historic charm, a great location that makes it easy to explore Santa Fe on foot, and while the rooms aren't luxury accommodations, they always felt comfortable and familiar - like a home away from home. Through the years, the staff has consistently been friendly and welcoming. That's what makes this review so disappointing to write. What was once a 5-star experience for our family has dropped to about a 3-star experience because we no longer feel confident that our vehicle and belongings are safe while staying here.
