I've never been much of a fan of interior design. My interest in it probably peaked during those heady days when 'Changing Rooms' on BBC1 was one of the most popular shows around, and even then it was partly because I enjoyed seeing people cry at what Lawrence Llewellyn Bowen had done to their house. My friend's house was also on the programme once too; possibly one of the biggest events in Formby's recent history.
So it is with some trepidation that I usually enter into shops like Twigg in Maghull. Twigg specialises in handmade interior decorations and gifts and I wouldn't normally have bothered but I was with my girlfriend and she loves this kind of stuff, so I willingly went along for the ride so to speak.
However, I was pleasantly surprised by the pieces on display there as they were all finely crafted and beautifully presented. I'm not usually particularly taken by handmade bits and bobs like this (I am a man after all, far too manly for this type of thing, honest...) but the products sold at Twigg really are of the highest quality and available at a decent price.
If/when I ever own a home (I hope it's more a question of when than if) then I will definitely check out Twigg again and you should too. read more
