Food items were delicious. Coffee was delicious. Manager was really sweet and helpful. Smiling and amazing customer service from her. I am not so sure about the other staff. It was a busy day. Twiggs is clearly a local hangout, and a combo of a diner and coffee shop. Bags of coffee and their own roaster is a focal point in one corner, and there is a general busy vibe in the place. The breakfasts were big portions, tasted great - but not too special - what you can expect in a diner. We also had an apple scone - seemed freshly baked, tasted great, and had the right proportion of filling and scone. The coffee was a bit of a disappointment - it's certainly better than chain coffee stores but given the setting promised a lot more. read more

Came here for breakfast Sat June 8th. I was awake early and thought i'd take a walk and grab a coffee. Got there before they opened so waited till they opened the door. There is some serious problem with the staff here showing customers some common kindness. I went to say "Good morning" and was cut off and asked if my order was for here or to go. Their whole staff is super snobby. If it wasn't for the delicious carrot squares i wouldn't ever set foot in this place. Ordered the "Big" Breakfast. I was given a cold breakfast that i waited over 20 minutes for. When the lady set my food down she in a rather snarky voice said "give me that"! The little number thing which i doubt is ever washed off after being g handled by so many customers. As for their sandwiches yeah they are a joke!! Paid $9 for a tiny little roast beef sandwich. Put in all honesty the staff do treat the elderly fellas who seen to like to spend their afternoons in here. But if the staff don't know you you're treated rather coldly. Coffee is okay,,,treats are good. Breakfasts are cold. Serve is oddly cold and strange. read more

I love to support local business so when I don't have the time to make my own coffee/breakfast (or simply feel like a bit of a treat) I'll often hit the drive-thru at the Worthington location on my way in to work. 9/10 times I'm met with condescending staff, who are extremely impatient/rude and apparently don't like to answer any questions in regard to their menu. As a former barista, I know that mornings in the drive-thru can be a bit stressful - but asking a general question should not be met with treating your customers like they're idiots. Most of the time I'm asking because product I've received has been inconsistent in the past and I'm trying to figure out how to order to ensure I get what I'm looking for moving forward. I always tip well and extend kindness depsite this, but when you're consistently talked down to first thing in the morning by people you're handing money to in order to support their business - you start to wonder why anyone would ever go to a place where the staff seem hellbent on making your day worse from the jump. Perhaps consider what you need to do to ensure you're starting your day in a good mental space, and how you want to show up for the world each day. That small interaction can make a big difference in the day of your customers. I would like to add that these interactions are very rarely with the newer staff, but most often with the owner as well as a long time employee. read more

I had lunch at the Worthington location today. The dessert, a Rockslide Brownie was delicious. However the $9 sandwich I ordered was barely visible it was so skimpy. 2 very thin slices of turkey, 3 very thin slices of tomato, 1 piece of lettuce, and the thinnest slice of cheese I have ever seen. I assume they use a laser to slice the cheese, it was perhaps a mm thick. All on commerical bread, definitely not house baked. I understand food inflation is high, but that was a $6 sandwich at best. read more

We arrived here after 8:30 pm We ordered a crab salad sandwich, meat lovers pizza and nachos The wife felt the crab salad was ok and not too heavy with the mayo. The daughter had the nachos and loved them. I had the meat lovers pizza. It too was Ok The issue was we were starving and it took a while to be served. Plus the tables aren't designed for meals. A slice or cake or a butter tart. So each of us needed a table to ourselves. The butter tarts were very good. So my suggestion is stick to a coffee and cake. read more

My partner lives down the street and we used to go a few times a week. We love Twiggs. Unfortunately this location has lost our business. We have both experienced our orders that are wrong more than they get it right while both of us have been sick at separate times from the smoked salmon, which used to be our favourite. Today will be our final time going to the Fraser location. They had got my food order wrong and iced latte order wrong twice as we were headed to Sudbury. Luckily enough the kindest lady Kim, a manager at the sturgeon falls location made a very kind and generous exception to redo my drink order. Twiggs on Fraser is not a good representation of Twiggs and for now has totally and completely lost its spark in us. I do not recommend. read more

Twiggs seems to be really popular here! It was very crowded. The drinks (Hot Chocolate) were too awful for me. Weird after taste. The dessert was too sweet, especially the oreo brownie. The oreo make it sweet but in awkward way. Think it must be way better if i chose the original brownie one instead. read more

Waited an hour and a half for two hot chocolates after reminding the servers 3 times that we were waiting. Instead of bringing us our hot chocolates the waitress proceeded to serve the rush that came in after us and then proceeded to sit down and hang out with her friends. When I requested a refund the girl tried to refund me for two medium hot chocolates and didn't believe that I paid for two larges. Every past experience I've had with this place has been good but it only takes one bad experience to turn a customers attitude sour. I refuse to give business to Twiggs since this experience. It's a shame because now I'm limited to Tim Hortons and... well Tim Hortons. It's all we have here in North Bay after all -- an ungodly amount of Tim Hortons'. read more

For a coffee shop, I asked for a black dark roast coffee and it was the blandest coffee I have tasted in a long time. We ordered three sandwiches to go, 1 was right the other two wrong and the one sandwich that was right the cook used a heel of the bread. Twigs should stick to coffee to see if they can get that right before offering food. Service was friendly and fast, too bad they couldn't get the food right. read more

The countless times that I've been to this location have been all horrible experiences. Really wish I could give this no stars. The staff is rude and pushy. They'll harass you over and over to pay for something that you ASKED for but THEY messed up and forgot to put it on the order. So unprofessional and there are never repercussions for the mouthy staff. I've gone back less and less but I go on the off chance that they won't be rude to their customers. read more

Ordered a spinach salad with side of salmon. "Seasoned salmon fillet" is what's listed on the menu. I waited for about 16 minutes at a table while it was being prepared. You can imagine my surprise, when it finally came to see the salmon was shredded all over. I had mistaken it for chicken. When I enquired about that I was told it was indeed salmon and they do that to "make sure it's cooked through" I guess they aren't educated on how to cook a small salmon fillet properly. (It's one of the easiest things to cook- just saying) I have never seen a salmon fillet served this way unless it was from a can (which this wasn't) but ewwww. Yuck. Not at all appetizing thinking of someone ripping up that fillet with their hands or whatever before dumping it all over the salad. Not at all impressed. This is the first time I've ordered from there and had anything sub-par. They've also changed all of their herbal teas over from their reliable NUMI brand, so some cheap imitation. The tale of two coffee shops..................I have been to Twiggs near Service Ontario in North Bay, many times, Love it, allways friendly towards this Blind old Bruin, and his Guide/Service Wonder Dog.....This Twiggs..............is like a different world...well not exactly unfriendly, I had the impression they had never seen a guide or service dog before, also at the other Twiggs I get my standard esspresso, A large Whole milk,3 or 4 shots, the other Twiggs had no problem combining 2% and Cream for me, "The customer" Hint, Hint, to make a whole milk latte. Here they did not really grasp my request, or simply decided not to hear me, "The Customer" Hint, Hint, She said 2% or Skim, I did leave a .75cent tip, because the cashier was very nice......so what can I say?, I see by the rateings the other twiggs blow this one out of the water.................whats going on? Perhaps it was the Half Breed and His Dingo Dog? Judging by the reviews I think not! The Coffee was Great, Twiggs really is the only option in North Bay for esspresso..........................I will stay with the other Twiggs. Thank you....... read more

Kinda pricey, but the pizzas are great and are affordable when sharing. Food isn't the best but the pizzas are pretty good. Drinks are good.

If I were reviewing the appearance of the employees It would certainly earn 5 stars. Now back to the coffee....yes it is the best place in North Bay for a "treat" coffee or specialty drink. The staff is generally great although the odd time service is slow. Even with the addition of starbucks to North Bay I still think twiggs is superior. read more
