We have been using Twin Bridge Nursery for years and have never lost a single plant we bought from them. They do have a year guarantee if you keep your receipt, by the way. They are always helpful and friendly. Wish there was a way to text them after hours. We need three Evergreen Fairytail Fountain Grasses. I have bought several trees and shrubs from Twin Bridge that have thrived. Their staff is knowledgeable and helpful. I have found that, aside from the big box stores, they are the only nursery in the area that guarantees the product. They gave me credit for one large tree which died, no questions asked. This place is so sketch and it's unfortunate because it has so much potential. Prices are mostly missing which means you have to ask a staff that rarely knows the price and has to ask the owner who changes the price based on his whim. Also, lack of tags often means guessing on varieties, sizing, light conditions, etc. Today, I stopped by to see if they still had a tree I had seen in the spring only to find out they had doubled the price for the same size even though it looked pretty pitiful after being neglected over the summer. I want to like this place and occasionally can find a deal in the spring, but be prepared to identify trees/shrubs by sight (ie. not a beginner) and don't mind asking a price on almost everything, and in the end, you're usually getting subpar quality for no cheaper than anywhere else. read more

The selection is great, but the quality is not so good. I was standing behind some guy trying to return a plant that had died. The lady at the register was belligerent with him. He could not return the plant that had died. She said it was in a container on the deck. No where did it say anything about containers or in the ground. It appeared she took it upon herself to provide the worst customer service I have ever witnessed (keep in mind I have been to the post office, DMV, and the VA). Basically, I left my cart full of shrubbery and went to another nursery. If you are looking for a great nursery, try Pleasantburg nursery on S. Pleasantburg road. They were great! Some of the plants are fine but have bought some recently that had diseases or issues not long after I bought them. Most of the time now, the staff act like they could hardly be bothered to provide customer service ... and most of the time I have to chase after someone to get assistance. Stay away from this place! I bought 8 plants for almost $200.00 in March 2016. By mid-July, one of the plants ($28.00) was dying. I returned the plant and had the yellow receipt for the exchange. The exchange policy is listed near the cash register as 1 year exchange with yellow receipt, no other conditions are listed. The same is on the "yellow" receipt. I returned the plant to the store and was told that because it was planted in a container and not planted directly in the ground, the guarantee was void! When we purchased the plants we specifically told the person helping us that we intended to place these on a deck in large half barrel containers and he stated that would be fine and they should do well! I asked the 2 women working to show me the policy reflecting the "container clause" and they said "it's on the website". I left the store and went to my truck where I checked the website. As of July 16, 2016, the exchange policy states nothing about container plants versus those planted in the ground. (http://www.twinbridgenursery.com/exchange-policy.html) I went back in the store and showed it to the woman who had originally made the statement and she then stated "it must be somewhere else on the website then". I asked her to show me so I could see it for myself but she was unable to. She said it's their rules and they're unable to honor guarantees on container planted plants! I asked her to show me that "rule" in writing but again she was unable to. I reminded them that there was nothing the customer could see when making a purchase warning them of this stipulation. She said it's the owners rule and they "just work there" and there was nothing they could do. She offered to get the owner on the phone so I could speak with him but apparently was unable to do so. I told her I wasn't asking for a refund, just a replacement. She was getting frustrated and her voice was getting louder and finally made the decision to replace the plant. When I walked out into the yard with one of the other employees, he was very nice and helpful. I asked him about putting the plant in a container and he said it should be fine! When I returned to the cash register, one of the women had taken my original receipt and wrote on it that there was no guarantee on anything that I had purchased! I don't believe they can over-ride what their written guarantee is yet she insisted that I shouldn't return with any other plants, even though the website and everything written in the store clearly reads that the guarantee is good for 1 year with the exception of special sale plants! I would stay away from this place as I don't believe they care about their customers after the sale or even follow their written policies! I would stick with one of the big box stores! Their selection may not be as good but at least they honor their written guarantees! The men in the yard area are helpful, polite and respectful however the women working inside (07/16/16 afternoon) were rude and condescending. Steer clear of this place and protect your investment! Note* Ironically, the Twin Bridge website even suggests placing plants in containers to dress up your deck! http://www.twinbridgenursery.com/nursery-plants.html It reads "Another possibility is a container plant. I wish I could give them 0 stars. Ever since Robert left the place has gone down hill fast. The staff is not courteous at all. I have had several issues with returning plants I used as container plants in my container garden. I have had several issues where they have gone months on end with out getting the products I need in stock. Who ever the new manager is must not care about the way the company is run because she is never available, apparently has no set schedule, and never seems to get in any inventory. When Robert was the manager inventory was always available the staff was friendly and I never once had an issue. In fact I recommended people to twin bridge all the time because if how amazing they WERE. Who ever the owner is must not care about how their business is being run. The employees here are really nice! I called ahead and asked if I could bring in my aloe plant and get help with repotting it and looking at some babies that had sprouted up, and was told to come on in. I didn't get the lady's name who helped me when I came in, but she was really nice and seemed to know what she was talking about. She went ahead and repotted it for me and transferred the baby that was ready to split off into its own pot, and gave me lots of good advice on caring for my plants. As a beginner with a pretty high body count on plants in the past, I found the whole experience to be extraordinarily helpful. Not to mention, she only charged $3 for the pots! I will definitely be coming back, and recommending this place to everyone I know who likes plants. read more

Worst costumer service ever. Had pine straw delivered and come home to find our car that was in our driveway had been hit on the bumper by the delivery truck. They didn't bother to call and of course didn't leave the receipt because why would you want to leave a trail with your name on it.. Have called several times to speak to someone regarding the matter and the manager "doesn't have a set schedule" so no way to reach her and they have not relayed the message like they said they would. Maybe she doesn't care and that's how she runs her business but that's not how you stay in business. read more

This is a discount nursery and the plants and staff reflect that. I believe they grow most of their stock, possibly in an uncontrolled environment. I agree with the other interviewer that it is hit or miss with the plants. We needed to do a big project and got a lot of our plants there. We knew going in that as soon as we drove out of the yard we were on our own. If you don't mind that premise, there are some good specimens there. read more
