We have now golfed here twice and are amazed at the friendliness and course! For less than the cost of a cart rental at other courses, we get 9-holes and a cart! We are able to work our short game with 3-par holes and a well-designed well-drained course. Honestly, it's so fun! Though our second reservation wasn't put in the books (we called) it was still honored. Only improvement would be a veteran discount. My aunt is the primary caregiver for her brother (who is a disabled veteran who can't be left alone) and was charged $11 for him to just ride on her cart. It would be nice to honor veterans with complementary ride along privileges if they are handicap. My husband and I are still happy to come play. The clubhouse doesn't boast many eating selections for post game- but it is only 9-holes with low low low par- so we don't mind at all! read more

11-23-20: There is about 20 Hibiscus bushes near the driving range. It was later in the afternoon and I picked about 12 blossoms that were either dead, or dying (most from the ground) to feed to my 85 lb. African Sulcata tortoise. While collecting these, a tall T.B. grounds employee came up behind me and very gruffly demanded to know why I was picking HIS flowers off HIS golf course. He then threatened me by asking me how I would feel if he came to my house and tore up my yard and flower beds. His tirade went on and on so I walked to my car and he followed me. When I arrived at my car, he took out his cell phone and took pictures of me, my car and my license plate. I am a 70 yr. old disabled veteran and this man bullied, intimidated, and threatened me over 12 dying Hibiscus blooms. Well, I guess he can learn where I live now. WOW... I have since learned that this particular man has "overstepped his bounds" many times before so I am in the process of filing a police report. More investigation needs to be done on anyone that is allowed to intimidate golf course patrons, over and over again. I must question the choices in employees that Twin Brooks hires. read more

Nice par 3 golf course! Great for beginners or people that want to work on their short irons. The greens are in perfect condition, which is huge this time of year! And the price is very reasonable! It's a fine Driving range. You hit off Turf. Extra Large basket of balls for 10$ (110 Balls) People in pro shop are nice. No Beer. They have targets to shoot at in the driving range. Well kept 9 hole pitch and putt course. One of the only options in the area for driving ranges. read more

I played twice and had two different experiences. The first day was what I expected for a par three course - not extremely well manicured, decent playing conditions overall. The second day the greens were covered in thick fertilizer. It made everything extremely dirty. I was surprised nothing was said when we paid for the round. I might go back to the driving range but won't play again if it's my choice when visiting the area. read more

For a beginner golfer, this course has the best and quickest 9 holes you can complete. My record for completion is 35 minutes. They also have a 3 hole practice course and First Tee for the kids. Grass is not over seeded and easy to play. Tee boxes are always beaten up due to the amount of beginners that come and play here, but now they added driving pads to assist. This course deserves a better rating on Yelp. read more

Went to the course today for the first time with my husband, dad and father in law. Unfortunately due to the incompetent and rude customer service we received we won't be back. There are good employees there don't get me wrong. But the kinda heavyset guy with longish white hair.. he's gotta go. He's losing customers for your business. First he would not accept my dads proof of being a veteran.. do I need to write more? You don't give a veteran the third degree to prove that they served your country.. that's not right. Next the guy wouldn't accept my husbands voter ID to sign up for a club membership (to prove he's a resident of st Pete...) it says clearly on the website that voter id is fine for this, and another employee agreed. Next the guy comes out and although I had already paid for my first game I was not going to play a second game. Just wanted to relax while the guys finished a second game. He came out and then proceeded to tell us I had to pay a spectator fee and a fee to sit on my dads cart (which I was only sitting on while I waited for them to pay for their second round)... This guy was just not good at customer service. We didn't want anything for free, just to be treated with respect. Sadly he did the opposite and lost 4 customers who would have spent a lot more money at this business. Another employee did come out after we all asked to be refunded and got ready to leave (there are so many other golf courses there's no need to put up with disrespect). He apologized for the first guys behavior and said yeah he's just like that.. Well we agree. We would come back and play if that guy isn't there, but we all agreed there are so many other golf courses to try.. I doubt that we will be back. Maybe some customer service training would be helpful. And always support and be grateful for your veterans and local residents. read more

Charlaine Tatz, the PGA pro at Twin Brooks, is a patient, analytical instructor. She provides video and key points to work on for every lesson!! She has taught me since I started playing at age 50 and now that I'm in my 60's, I can go out on any course and enjoy the game:) Also, the facility is beautifully maintained with a par 3 section and a 3 hole practice area that's available to use for 2 hours at a very reasonable price. You can also chip and putt beside the range! Also, you can use the driver every day at the practice range except 1 day per week, when they allow you to use the grass, it's irons only. Fantastic place to learn and practice... Great staff!! read more

Rude and unreasonable staff sounds about right as was mentioned in other reviews. I drove 15 mins after a rain storm, showed up to get some range balls and the first thing I'm told in the pro shop isn't "hello how're you?" It was was, "hey man you got a different shirt with you? We don't allow cut offs" to which I replied "okay...I'll go out to look in my car"...I went to look and came back and said "all I have is a proper tank top, I drove 15 mins and haven't been here in years. Can I remember for next time?". No exceptions were made and was told I could not purchase range balls. Yet there were a total of 3 people on the range, one of which was a girl wearing a spaghetti strapped shirt. Guess there is a sexist double standard. This place sucks! read more

Not the nicest par 3 course around but almost always a tee time available for walk-ups. Easy online reservation system. It's true, there is one grumpy old guy at the pro shop that gives you bad customer service but there is also Adam who has a great attitude and is happy to help you with whatever you need. read more

Driving rang is only good if your using driver, you can't tee up on the grass, has to be on the mat, and the mats make it impossible to tee up iron shots. Considering the par 3 course they offer won't even allow you to bring a driver, this is a stupid concept. The staff can be rude at times, and somewhat short with people as well. read more

I've been to Twin Brooks about 6 times with my husband and with my adult children. My husband has probably been several more times as well. It's close to our home and a comfortable course. Unfortunately the last four times we came to the golf course I found the interactions of the staff on the course (mostly the Marshall) to not be very friendly and somewhat condescending. In addition, the last two times we came we set up a 2 person t-time, showed up on time ready to play and then were told that we were "being put with another group of players". We specifically signed up for a 2 person t-time for good reasons (not that I have to justify) and the t-time was specifically labeled on their website as a 2 person t-time. In addition, with Covid restrictions/concerns we certainly don't feel comfortable golfing with people we don't know. I spoke with the Marshall about the situation and he had little compassion and was not hospitable. Basically he told me they do this so they can get more money. Yeah-not my problem. I signed up for a 2 person T-time and paid my money to get what I paid for. We won't be coming back. read more

It's a good thing to have a reasonably-priced option for new golfers like me. Had family in town and wanted us all to get to be together. We had a foursome and wanted elderly parents to be able to ride along. They would not allow it citing concerns about slow play. We were very disappointed. Then we wound up behind a foursome sharing two bags of clubs that were holding up everyone behind them. Rules need to make sense. read more

Steve who was working in the shop was rude and made passive acomments regarding new people coming to the course. He then came out and told me I could not hit balls on the range in my sandals. The guy next to me was in sandals.... I've golfed my whole life from public to private courses and not once have I been told I can't hit balls on a range in sandals. This place is a joke and I wish they would put the same discipline into their actual golf course maintenance than they do policing the customers. They don't sell balls for driving range. My daughter is 7 years old, actually she is small because we are Asian. But she has been practicing golf since she was 4 years old. A shop person says " under 6 years old not allowed". I say " she is 7 years old". He says " no she is too small" and turns us down.
