Great owners, cheap drinks, trackman simulators. Monthly membership is the best value in my opinion

We walked the entire course which is something I don't ever do when I play and it really is perfectly maintained. The LPGA Players are amazing and cordial and we had an amazing time. Went to the Golf Shop and added soe Pelican Club attire. We will be back every year for the Annika Tournament and I am looking for a new friend who might be a member so I can play this beautiful course.

It was a delight to encounter employees who clearly love their jobs, and want you to enjoy your time golfing, dining or exercising. The facilities feature the most up to date technology for both golfing and exercising. There are two on site restaurants. One is a bistro style eatery, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The best grits and bacon I have EVER had! The other restaurant, The Albatross, is a sexy, high end steak and seafood spot. I'd put the meals I've had there up against any famous big city dining establishment. The lodging for out of town guests may be one of my favorite amenities. The finishes, the decor, the comfort ... the luxury! There is nothing else like it in this area of Florida. Though I am not a golfer myself, I do know that the greens are immaculate enough to host an annual LPGA event. Should you be lucky enough to be invited by a member to visit The Pelican, it is an invitation you should accept!

I try going to different courses if I can, and at this point I have played at numerous in the Tampa Bay Area as well as two other states. But I have NEVER encountered a ranger as disrespectful as the one at mainlands yesterday. I hit a drive out of play and I dropped a ball on the fair way next to my girlfriend's ball. The ranger pulled up behind us and said "you're not supposed to drive the ball out of play". I said "I didn't mean to, I'm not that good at golf". He said "well obviously... but why are you trying to coach people on the last hole?" ....Ummm because its my girlfriends 3rd time playing a round of golf and I was trying to give her a tip that helped me so she would have more fun playing???? I just drove away and didn't respond to him after that. I still don't understand the point of him even talking to us. But needless to say, I didn't pay $70 to be ridiculed by the ranger. The staff in the clubhouse were friendly and the conditions were fine for the price of $35 per person. But that interaction alone was enough to make me not want to come back. It wasn't crowded, if a group pulled up behind us we let them play through. We were trying to be considerate of other groups around us. It's not like this is a country club... this course had a ton of beginners on it. So why this older guy with a white beard felt the need to be disrespectful, I don't know. But it definitely tainted the experience and put us in a bad mood after that. Considering the number of courses in the area and variety of price points available, it's safe to say I'll be playing elsewhere for the foreseeable future.
