I had Twin City Metal Seal re-do the finish on a 15 piece patio set. It had spent the previous 20 years being Boring-Ass Beige. It is now a show stopping Turquoise, and we absolutely love it. Ben was very easy to work with, and encouraged me to step out of the box with color choice. The finished result really knocks it out of the park. His staff helped to load everything into the rental truck when I went to pick it up. I highly recommend this company! read more

TCM is my absolute favorite! They've been my powder coaters for over 10 years now and they always come through. My product is almost always steel with a gloss clear powder coat. This can be a tricky finish and there's no going backwards, but the end result is always consistent and looks like melted glass over my steel! The quality of my end product is so enhanced by the beauty and durability of the finish that I'm confident it has been a vital factor to my success. I had some railings coated at Twin city metal seal on August 18th for a job I'm currently working on. I had never used their services prior to this time, but when I initially called around for estimates they seemed more then competent to do the job. It is a low gloss clear over glass blasted mild steel railing, I was told upfront this was a detailed process and made aware the cost and strict blasting/coating procedures would reflect. When I picked them up they looked as they should have, almost a simulated stainless steel finish. I was happy and I paid the bill. They've been hanging inside my house waiting to be installed since, mostly to keep anything at the active job site from wrecking them before tomorrows installation. But today when I went to get everything ready for tomorrow, I noticed some staining and rusting on the surfaces of the railings. After inspecting the entire assembly, I noticed it was on five of the pieces; one being far worse then the others. I called from my workshop immediately, looking for a solution or something to get out of this jam. I was told to come in with the pieces so they could see what I was talking about, and how nothing could be done over the phone. I told him I could be there in under an hour. Once I got there, I went in and mentioned I'd called earlier, a man and I went outside and as we inspected the pieces, he proceeded to tell me that all I was seeing was "in the metal" on certain ones. When I asked him about the worse one he agreed that the individual piece should be redone if even only in that area. Then I asked him if there was a way to clean the other ones that were not as bad. At this point, he lost his temper, calling me a "Bozo, Idiot, etc. He got about three inches away from me and said he would "break me" along with other threats and names I wont say or post online. I told him that I'd take my pieces and I would just leave. I grabbed for the railing and he shoved me, yelling "No" and rearing back in one hand a 3' piece of 2' steel tubing, simulating almost as if he would have hit me with it, ( the very piece they did such a poor job on). I stated that he'd better not put his hands on me again rite about as two other men came outside, one identifying himself as the man I spoke to on the phone earlier. He now wanted to see what I was referring to, I said sure because I was still only looking for a solution. All while his employee is cursing threats at me now from the front door. The second much older man of the three then told me I was a prick to him when I had called earlier, I apologized for any earlier misunderstanding on the phone. He must not have believed I was sincere because then he grabbed the remaining piece and attempted to throw it in the cab of my truck, him now yelling "get the f*** out and never come back" . I loaded up as quick as possible and left. I will never go back, or recommend this shop to anyone. If you are looking for a company to stand by there work, look elsewhere. I am only one experience so please take it for what it is. I wish they could have stood behind their work, instead an employee at Twin city metal seal assaulted me and threatened me for asking questions. read more

I had an outdoor patio furniture set done by Twin City Metalseal. I first called and told them that I had 6 chairs along with the table and that I wanted it to be a pretty cool color but wanted to keep the cost down. They first put me in touch with a sandblaster called Marco sandblasting located in Minneapolis. They said they have been dealing with them for 20 plus years and have an excellent relationship with the sandblasters. They have a smooth process in dropping off at the sandblaster, TCM picks up the finished sandblasted product and then bring it to their headquarters for powdercoating. They suggested their blacks and browns to be a great colors for the patio set. They showed me all different sorts of colors but I was interested in this copper vein texture. So I went with the copper and didn't realize how incredible it would look on my patio set. They did a phenomenal job in letting me know what the turn around time would be, they were extremely polite and helpful, and the cost was affordable. They even assisted me putting it in my truck after it was all done. Bravo! I hope others see this review because they are a professional group, very polite, and my patio furniture turned out even better than I thought! They have a great thing going there. I suggest getting anything powder-coated done from Twin City Metalseal. I'll be in contact with you with more products! read more
