My complaint would be their lack of communication. Having brought my car in multiple times, I have experienced the *same* issue every time and even brought it to their attention: you're car could be done for hours and you'll never know. I don't work from home so I've had to miss several hours of work while my car was "ready to go" and I was the one who had to ask. It'd be nice to get an update - even if it's not as soon as each car is worked on - but it's frustrating to wait and later find out you could have picked it up hours prior. For a small town maintenance shop, Willie's is worth calling if you're in need of a checkup or repair. They have integrity and get the job done (often sooner than later) so it's nice to drive away with relief.

I started using Murray's Auto Service after my dad told me about them way back in the 80's. I…read morealways would check his car out whenever he had a repair or inspection done. I always thought they did a good job on his car so I decided to get my auto repair work done there too. Murray's Auto Service has always done excellent work for me too. They explain what is wrong and what's involved in fixing it. When I pick up my car they will even go over everything and show me the parts if I want. They have always been nice to me and I have never had a problem with the mechanics, the work they did or what they charged. I never had to take my car back after a repair because something wasn't right. I feel safe when I drive away. There are people still taking there car repairs to Murray's that where there when my dad first started going there. I've met them dropping my car off. Everyone I've talked to feels the same as I do. Another thing I noticed was the vendors that supply them like the people that work at Murray's and I've even seen other local mechanics come to Murray's to use equipment or borrow a tool. I also saw they treat everyone the same. Doesn't matter if you are a long time customer or stopping by the first time. If you go there, they are in the rear of the building and it's best to turn on School Lane and enter the rear parking lot. I say that because there's a daycare place there and other businesses. If you enter from Main St and go back along the right side of the building it can have a lot going on. I hope this helps and you give them a try. (The resulting clacking sound could indicate engine damage.) They tried to blame it on my engine burning too much oil but this has never been the case with my former garage. The person I spoke with was condescending, not believing and not at all interested in the possibility that I could have a valid opinion. Won't go back. I said "mixed proficiency" because I'd gone to them once in the past and it was fine - that wasn't an oil change, however. I'm very glad I was able to go back to my former garage and that I have that experience for comparison. I would say that they are on the defensive about their work, also that they have a greedy mentality, charging for "loaner" cars. Customer value is number 1 and along with that, valuing what your customer has to say about their experience.
