They arranged for a phone interview and if that int well, SitterFriends even provided a free 2.5 hour trial session to meet in person, ask more questions, get to know each other and most important, watch their interaction with my child. Since this initial trial, I now use the app almost daily to schedule this sitter when needed. She's prompt, polite, well mannered and most off all, very experienced. One of our pups was uncomfortable with us leaving and I felt so bad for her. Within about 30 mins of us leaving I received a photo of her cuddling up with Laurel on a chair. She was great from then on. Looked like there was lots of play time. They were so content when I returned. We even had issues with our security system which would have rattled me if I was staying in someone else's home, but they handled the situation calmly and responsibly. Covid hit, and in Atlanta they didn't allow a 2nd support person (in some hospitals they were not even allowing the partner), and I was furlough from my job. The hospital only allowed one guest (my partner) so Rebecca video chatted with us during the entire labor. She coached us through every step of the way. I had some unforeseen complications and Rebecca worked with us and our medical staff to make sure we understood everything before moving forward with next steps. We ended up with a healthy mama and baby. And even though our birth story ended up very differently from our birthing plan, I wouldn't have changed a thing. I feel so satisfied with how well everyone worked together to nurture and support our little family. All the information they had of me was my resume' and my phone number. I was basically working with the children there without being a full employee. The assistant and main director were very nasty. I only worked there a day because the building was DISGUSTING, I was working with children without being a official employee ( which I'm pretty sure is illegal) and I had a bad vibe about the place. I did meet this nice black lady though and she was so helpful to me. I went to get my paycheck for the little time I worked and the director was sarcastic and nasty to me as well.
