If I could leave a zero stars I would. I went in and took Balenciaga T-shirts hoodies and jackets and they stained and tore the garments. The owner then gets mad and says I should be charged for having them redo it expressed. I still had to pay for my garments after they said they redid it and it still look the same. The owner, which is a woman, seemed to be talking about me and the situation in a negative way in her native tongue to the employees because I was complaining after they messed up my clothes. If my clothes were messed up the owner should take responsibility and fix the problem. Avoid coming to this business to save yourself a lot of money in the long run. read more

I would avoid this dry cleaners at all cost. I handed in a Moncler snowsuit to have dry cleaned, and they returned it to me, but with the tags and button missing from the suit. I did not hand it in this way, and am 100% certain of this. I noticed right away, and asked them to check in the back. The lady got extremely belligerent, and started yelling and screaming at me. Extremely unprofessional service, and I would never use them again. Beware at all costs. read more

I asked Twins Dry Cleaners to clean my one week old chinos, which I had worn 2-3 times so far (basically brand new). The chinos had some smaller mud stains on their legs due to the wet & muddy weather and I thought that having them cleaned should not be a major issue. Very negative surprise when collecting the chinos: the fabric was bleached heavily at various parts so that I can throw the garment away. The staff reacted very unfriendly when pointing this out, shouting that "everyone" in their team could witness that the parts had already been bleached when I gave the chinos to Twins Dry Cleaners. Again, the trousers were one week old and I would certainly not have given them to a dry cleaner with many essential areas of the garment being bleached (it's a deep bleach by the way that goes through the entire fabric). Reaction by the staff was not professional: No offer of a discount, no apology or help finding a solution but still claiming the full price of GBP 15 for the entire service (had a blazer cleaned as well at with mediocre results). If you care about your clothes/money and appreciate a good service you should consider other options and stay away! read more

Went to get a pair of my nicest virgin wool trousers hemmed, and when they were returned to me they had been cut to above the ankle, which is not at all the length that I had wanted. We had marked them in the store together and yet they were returned to me as cropped trousers. Really devastated and disappointed, worth double checking and taking the time to be sure you have communicated what you want. read more

Twins is one of those places you might not look twice at simply because it doesn't stick out. Rather the faded paint just makes you wonder what a place like this is doing next to the polished facades of Kingly Court. But stop and take a real look because this place is a gem. The business is a Vietnamese family-run place and it looks like a workshop, smells like boot polish and there are reams of clothes waiting to be dry cleaned, altered or repaired. Trust me when I say these people do an exceptional job, I've had trousers altered here, holes in jackets mended and heels replaced on shoes. A lot of production companies and costume designers also use this place for the mere fact that they are really good. When others say no, they say yes and do their best to repair or fix your shoes or clothes. They also cut keys, though I've never had it done. My flatmate had her boots repaired the other week and it cost her £8 for both boots and they replace both of the soles and pulled the material over one of the holes in her boots and insisted that they do both, so that they match. If that isn't service for you, I don't know what is. read more

I had heard good things about this place and needed to get my favourite bag repaired. The lady told me it would be difficult so she had to charge me more. When I received the bag it looked awful. I brought this up with her and she got extremely aggressive and rude with me. Sonnownmy favourite bag looks terrible and I'm out of pocket £30. I was recomended Tam @ Twins after years of bad tailoring experiences. I have been with her for years now and have not looked back. I lost 4 stone and quickly found my clothes didn't fit and Tam has performed magic on about 60-70 of my clothes, from taking in jackets, hemming trousers/jeans, altering waists, adding pockets, altering my whole tuxedo and lounge jacket. As a comparison, before Tam I had one item which was done elsewhere at a far more substantial cost but Tam's work was better / equivalent of the other place which charged more money. Crucially she seems to have a nact for getting things spot on first time, she even altered my cycling jersey which had a large sentimental value to me, something as fellow cyclists may know is near impossible to get done (even the big labels don't do it). I have seen the other reviews, I am not entirely sure from the other reviews what warrants 4 stars because as far as I am concerned given the price, her friendliness (level of service and the fact she takes personal pride - if there is ever any issue I imagine she will sort it out), timeliness (she has saved me a few times when I needed a piece done for a dinner I was going to) and quality of work she is more than worthy of 5 stars. read more
