I reached out to Twist & Bitters, about a week before to see their availability and I lucked up as they were available for the date I wanted. They had an extensive menu of cocktails to choose from but also allow any special requests.Their communication was amazing and quick. You can tell that they had a passion for mixology once the class started. They created me my own website with all the ingredients that we used including their homemade syrups. In the class they shared knowledge from the history of the tools, how to use each tool, and also best practices. They even took pictures for us as we were mixing so we could capture the experience.They had trivia questions to ask us about each and awarded us with fun boozy prizes. Twist and Bitters did an excellent job bartending our wedding earlier this month. Notably, they had some of the best communication amongst our vendors. Sam, one of the owners/bartenders, was so kind and helpful during the planning stages of our wedding. He was always super responsive and thorough in answering all our questions. He also took the time to meet with us via zoom to discuss event logistics given we had a bigger wedding of about 160 people.  During and after the wedding, we heard so much positive feedback from our guests regarding T&B including that lines were never too long and cocktails were very delicious. We even heard a couple comments about the bartenders personally smoking some of the drinks and chilling some of the shots. One of the guests said it was the smoothest shot they ever had. This is the level of service you can come to expect of T&B - bartenders who are passionate about what they do and can deliver true craft quality while also knowing how to run an efficient bar. Twist and Bitters were absolutely amazing!! I'm always fearful of bartenders cause usually they pour crappy basic drinks, but that was not the case at all with Twist and Bitters! From the very beginning Sam guided me on what he thought might be the best for the amount of people and theme. He provided me with an awesome list of their unique craft cocktails that they make their own syrups and bitters for. He also went and did all the shopping for us for a small fee and picked out what he thought was well priced for good alcohol. Day of, everyone loved them! They had a fun bar stand and everyone was huddled around them. We even ended up having to ask to extended their time cause they were so great! I believe they're based all the way in Semi-Valley but they were extremely accommodating and came all the way to San Diego to serve us. Wow. So Stacey and Sam were one of the best things at our wedding. They were everything you hope for and more from bartenders. Not only were they a great price, but they did craft cocktails and did them fast. There was never a long line at the bar (had less than 100 people) and the drinks were SO GOOD. We had a lot of amazing vendors at our wedding. I think our friends' favorite vendor was Twist & Bitters. They are artisanal bartenders - homemade black sesame syrup and smoked whiskey? My friends still talk to me about how great they were - I do not even drink. You do have to purchase your own alcohol, but they will do the shopping for you and even work within your budget. It did not seem to matter that we got lower budget alcohol, because their drinks were so good. If we were to have another fancy party, we would definitely hire Twist & Bitters again and cannot recommend them enough. read more
