I actually planned to start using this as my main bakery, but sadly I won't be using them anymore. I wanted a cake that was 50 servings and was quoted $250. Understandable, they work hard and deserve to charge that. Unfortunately, that's not what I wanted to pay for this cake so she recommended changing it to 25 servings & adding cupcakes for $175. I agreed (even though I did get a 25 serving cake for $65 3 weeks ago.) I understand this cake was 2 tiers and more detailed. With the addition of cupcakes I understood the $175 price. However, it was $175 for only the cake- not cupcakes. Ok, even though that wasn't how it was quoted fine, we'll just provide our own cupcakes. So she then told me the total and it's $186 (or something close to that.) That's with tax I was told. So why was I ever told $175 in the first place? Also, I'm not 100% sure, but pretty sure that all of the other "quotes" I was given from them was what I paid each time. Not a different price later. I understand tax- that's not my issue. It's the not saying things clearly. It was very misleading to suggest changing to the smaller cake & cupcakes for $175. Then, before I decided against the additional cupcakes she said it would be $225. I asked why would I do that when it's basically the same price that it was to begin with with the original cake I wanted. She in an annoyed with me voice let me know it was $25 less & that she wasn't trying to rip me off. It don't think she was either, but she definitely wasn't clear with pricing, seemed to have an attitude towards the end & didn't seem to value my business which is super unfortunate. I try to have loyalty to any service that does a nice job and is consistent & I get many cakes- probably averaging 1 or so a month. I also always recommend whoever I use when people ask. Unfortunately, this will be my last cake from Two Whisks Bakery & my recommendation will probably be this story instead now. I do want to note the lady I dealt with the last 2 times was not the same as today & she was lovely. Sad I won't be doing business with her anymore. I know the struggle of small businesses & word of mouth advertising and it's unfortunate how this situation ended up.

We pulled in and it appeared dead. No cars or customers. The day we went was a normal work day. It was open. We walked in and no one was behind the counter. And in the counters were no displays of their baked items. I checked the closing time thinking that they were cleaning up for the day earlier but it was to be open for another couple of hours. I took a chance, and it absolutely paid off. The conchas (and other treats) were incredible. Everything was fresh and exactly what I needed for my work event. The service was accommodating, friendly, and efficient, which made what could have been a crazy morning better. This is officially my new go-to bakery. I sent the image attached which is clearly all black and either their printer was running out of ink or they just decided jungle green was a better choice than what I asked for. I also brought a physical copy of the invitation that the image was taken from to show the woman who took my order. There was zero confusion on what was supposed to be Black. It was honestly the only thing that went wrong at the entire party. When I picked it up they just had young girls up front who already seemed nervous and the party was in 4 hours so it wasn't even worth the time or the stress to complain at pick up that the center wording was supposed to Black and White..... not green. You also can't change anything in the dessert platter that you order. Like swapping out profiteroles or eclairs for cheesecake bites. We finally decided on a Peanut Butter Classic Cookie, and the Chocolate Maple Bacon and Bavarian Chocolate Dipped Gourmet Donuts. Everything was delicious; however, my absolute favorite was the Bavarian Chocolate Dipped Gourmet Donut. The first thing I noticed was an excellent amount of chocolate icing across the entire top and on the sides of the donut. It was very chocolatey, very smooth, and perfectly sweet. The donut itself was very different than any Bismarck donut I've ever had. It was a VERY light, VERY fresh, soft dough vs the dryer denser dough of a chain location. The Bavarian cream filling was very flavorful with a light and creamy texture versus a thick pudding texture of the typical filled donuts. It was clearly freshly made that day and will absolutely be on my order each time. Our only "problem" was when we wanted to stop by to try something new and were very disappointed that we arrived on a day they were not open. We both agreed it was like wanting Chik-fil-A and then realizing it was a Sunday and they were closed. We were back the next day and will not make that mistake again!
