I got the last caramel banana pudding (there was regular and I believe another flavor) Fantastic!! Between my husband and I this didn't last the night. I narrowed my cupcake choice to 3- toffee caramel, butterfinger and Dutch apple. Moist and delicious and creamy frosting OMG. It tasted as the title described and not too sweet or fake flavored in the least. I was stunned when I walked in as I wasn't expecting what was before my eyes. The owner was friendly and gave me the run down. They also have minimal ice cream flavors for winter but she said more in the warmer months. In honor of review 1221, this next one will be written as a palindrome. J/k, that would be ambitious! I was impressed with the selection of cupcakes available here! There were easily 30 flavors, and I was skeptical as to how each cupcake could get its special spin on it. I thought the cake would be either yellow or chocolate and that the frostings would just be different flavors or have different toppings, but that wasn't the case! Flavors like red velvet, banana split, blueberry eclair, cookie dough, and wedding cake are offered and all have a different cake base, in addition to your more classic flavors. The cookie dough one had pieces of cookie in the chocolate cake portion, and the wedding cake had an amazing cube of marzipan in the middle! That one was my favorite that I tasted, and we walked out purchasing 7 cupcakes that day. I believe the starting price is $2.85, and the fancier the cupcake, the higher the price. My only knock is that all of the frostings are a cream cheese base, and I didn't think that was a fit for all the flavors. We hired Cute As A Cupcake to do cupcakes and cake pops for my baby shower last weekend and they were absolutely DIVINE! Not only did our guests love them but their customer service along with their timeliness was completely stellar and above & beyond. I spoke to Michelle on the phone and told her our color scheme (purple and some pink) and she immediately made it easy for me by making the vanilla cupcakes have pink frosting and the purple ones be chocolate, which turned out super cute as you can see in the photos, and then suggested to add in extra flavored ones like strawberry shortcake, wedding cake, lemon and red velvet. Our guests' general consensus: incredibly moist cake, rich frosting without it being overbearing, and best flavor winner was strawberry shortcake. I was sent for Cute As A Cupcake as a gift. The cupcakes are no longer packaged in glass jars but in plastic containers. The presentation of the cupcakes in the plastic is not as classy as the glass jars. Although the product is packaged with celebratory confetti the Carmel Cupcake leaked over the confetti & other jars. On further inspection none of the 4 cupcakes received were adequately sealed which was not a problem with the glass jars. Two of the cupcakes seemed dry but the remaining cupcakes did not seem to suffer from the poor sealing. About a month ago, I contacted Cute As A Cupcake about my damaged package and have yet to receive a response. For the price point and my prior experience with Cute As A Cupcake, I expected a higher quality product. read more

So I finally gave them another chance, it wasn't at the store but they had a food truck down the street from me today I bought a turtle cheesecake cupcake, red velvet, lemon and A Dutch apple. The woman taking the orders were super nice was really good about describing the cupcakes. Again I still love the fact that there is not 8000 pounds of frosting on them. The frosting is really good too. Recently had surgery and I'm supposed to be walking so I took a quick walk down the street. By the time I got home there were room temperature. Came into this adorable place a few weeks back and I thought it was one of the cutest things I had seen. The employees were so nice and helpful. They were helping out someone who was planning a gender reveal and it was the cutest thing. The decor was beautiful. The place was clean and there was parking available out front. Wow these cupcakes are so good! Very flavorful. We ordered the strawberry eclair and M & M cupcake. The strawberry eclair is really tasty. The cake is very moist; lots of different creations of cupcakes, all presented well. The thing I like about this place is the cream cheese frosting they have on all of the cupcakes; my favorite! I went for the first time on Friday 6/1 and I was very pleasantly surprised... the shop is adorable and the staff was super friendly and helpful. So after having a early dinner and doing some shopping I had a taste for something sweet to eat. I googled and yelped flavored cupcakes in the Merrillville area and this place showed up. When I saw the name I was like that's a really cute name for a restaurant so I was really intetested in going to this restaurant. We didn't have much to choose from because we got there 15 minutes before they closed. From the choices we had, we chose German Chocolate, Lemon, Oreo Chocolate, Toffee Caramel and Caramel Crunch. On the way home, we eat the German Chocolate and the Oreo Chocolate.....they were ABSOLUTELY DELISH!!! I also ate the Caramel Crunch. It was very very sweet, but SIMPLY DELISH!! We went over my order twice on the phone, half chocolate half vanilla covered in strawberry icing WITH strawberries on top. At the end of conversation, she asked if I wanted toppings, I said "yes, strawberries". Picked my order up and they had no strawberries just regular icing, which was way too sweet. Just under $20 for 6 cupcakes, and they were just so/so. For over $3 a cupcake they are VERY small and waaaaaay over frosted. There is no pricing for the cupcakes in shop, so of course you don't know your going to pay that much until they ring up your selection. The pricing I didn't understand either because the lady in front of me paid just under $16 for her 6 pack of cupcakes. Why was mine $4 more? The frosting is butter cream, but obviously they are going cost efficient and using shortening instead of butter. It was like eating a mouth full of sugared crisco. The cake part was actually quite good, but it's so small seriously only 2 bites (not big bites) it just wasn't worth scraping away all the crisco to get to it. I was rooting for this little shop. It's so cute, and there aren't any great bakeries around. Sadly this is just another NOT great bakery in the area, and I will have to continue to travel to Lansing and spend the same amount of money for an amazing cake at Calumet Bakery. read more

The cake that was for my nephews birthday party and the name was miss spelled. When they went to fix it(30 minutes later),it was done incorrectly and the new sheet that was put on started to bubble up. When we returned with photos of what had occurred the ownership was very rude and did not want to take responsibility for what had happen stating that all sales are final and non refundable. We never asked for a refund but we did state that we should not have paid the cost of a correctly made cake when it wasn't me correctly .
