Did the brunch bus tour and it was a VIBE! Live band on the bus to keep the party going was a top notch idea. I loved every single min of it! And the food and drinks at every location was amazing. Seriously, if ever in the area definitely should book this tour!

Went on The Brunch Bus Tour with 10 Ladies for some Bachelorette Party Fun. There were 3 stops and at each stop we had an alcoholic beverage and a snack. Live band on board the bus which is great. Very organized tour and great restaurants/bars in the rotation. High Energy and Positive Vibes!

We had a great time doing the Saturday brunch. The entire staff including Benny, Matt the bus driver and all members of the band were super personable. We started off at Still Austin where we had great drinks and amazing breakfast tacos. If you are here, also make sure to try the huckleberry food truck...it was WOW! We then went to central machine works and had some delicious shasuka pizza. This place is huge! We ended the tour at a third brewery (didn't catch the name) where we tried kolaches and if you were done drinking for the day, you could also have a cold brew coffee. Playing trivia was fun on the bus and the band did wonderfully playing our music requests. I would totally do this again. Throughout our trip, every staff member checked in all the guests regularly. I highly recommend this brunch bus.

Super fun experience! We went on the tour for a bachelorette - highly recommend! You ride on a school bus with a few seats taken out of the front, where the live band plays. We made three stops at local restaurants, where we were served one small plate off the menu as well as an alcoholic beverage. Food and drinks were great! Portions are smaller, but we were full by the end. In between the stops, the band plays and there are a few trivia questions (small prizes are given out). BYOB on the bus, which was fun! Overall, fun experience!

We came to Austin for a bachelorette party and booked this tour as our first event, with tour guide Amber. She was the absolute best! Such a good vibe! So informative and brought us to the best spots! Every part of this tour was perfect! Food was yummy! She peppered in some great photo spots and just over all went above and beyond for us! We loved it! We wish we had her guiding us the whole weekend! 10/10 would recommend!

This past weekend my friends and I were in town for a bachelorette party. This was by far my favorite activity of the weekend!! We had an amazing time on the bus. The band was great and so was the host, Tex. He did a great job entertaining the crowd and making sure we got back on the bus safely and in a timely manner. This tour was so much fun because we were able to stop off at different local Austin restaurant's and enjoy a drink and food item. I only wish we had more time at each stop or driving on the bus to enjoy more music! If you're coming to Austin, I highly recommend this activity!! It's perfect for bachelor/bachelorette and birthday party's.

26-year Austinite and somehow I have missed this gem until now. Highly recommended! Friends in town from Boston set this up and I am so glad they did, and so happy I joined them for this "bus with a band on the way to brunch" extravaganza. Amber our host and guide was super Texas-friendly and fun, and Hanna Barakat (more at https://hannabarakat.com) and her trio delivered cool tunes and a great vibe on the bus all over town. The 3-hour tour was well-timed and well-planned, with three delicious brunch stops complete with adult beverages at each one. I was delighted to see Austin icon Maria's Taco Express as our first delicious breakfast taco stop, and equally pleased to hit Lucy's for chicken and waffles (and a cock-tail, as it were) and the new kid on the block Batch for Kolaches and craft beer to wrap up. Conductor Constance at the wheel drove us safely from stop to stop, and our entire crew, including visitors from Chicago and Louisiana had as much fun as my friends and I did. We chose a beautiful sunny 68 degree day, so dining and drinking outside and enjoying the Texas sun made the day even better. This is a great tour for locals and visitors alike, a blend of so many things that maker Austin cool: tacos, brews, chicken, great live music and Texas cheer! Do it! You will not regret it!

I also added the beverage option with our reservations.* This was our first time visiting Austin, Texas and we thought this would be a good way to learn about it. We were not disappointed. Benjamin was our tour guide. He was at all times prompt, professional, friendly, and knowledgeable about Austin and the wonderful restaurants he was showcasing. The foods we tasted were fresh and delicious! Our drink option included alcoholic drinks, but a couple of us requested "mocktails" instead and Benjamin was happy to accommodate our request. Each food and drink were perfectly paired. Benjamin also pointed out the history and sights around Austin and our walk was at a comfortable pace. Greatly enjoyed our afternoon and we highly recommend Secret Food Tours Austin. * I am glad I booked two weeks ahead of our stay. We had a group of six plus our tour guide, Zack. Before we started, he let us know what our itinerary was for the day which included six different meal items during a three hour tour. (Cue Gilligan Island theme song). We walked around the Fareground food hall before going to our first stop at Veracruz for migas tacos, which are breakfast tacos stuffed with scrambled eggs, tortilla chips, onions, jalapenos and cheese. This was my first migas tacos so it was a great way to start our tour. We walked along the Congress Street bridge and Zack told us about activities around the river and told us about the different sections of Austin. As we walked, he would point out landmarks in downtown where we could find live music, comedy clubs, speakeasies and karaoke. Our second stop was at Cooper's Barbecue, where we got to enjoy amazing brisket along with beans and sweet tea. Zack also gave us instructions on how to order and the proper etiquette when ordering for barbecue joints. After eating such a heavy meal, we walked around quite a bit before our next stop for refreshing smoothies. Our fourth stop was to enjoy Tacos El Pastor. We made a complete circle and made it back to the Fareground food court for our last two items. The fifth item of the day were pork arepas, and we finished off our tour with caramel cheesecakes. The amount and quantity of the food we received was above and beyond what I expected. I've been to numerous food tours where the food was sometimes lacking. That was not the case with our tour. I loved the ease in which Zack told us about different locations and shared with us his favorite spots in Austin. I think a group of six was just the perfect size to be able to leisurely do the walking tour . We enjoyed getting to know the two couples on the tour with us. I would highly recommend Secret Tours and Zach specifically.

Scrambling at the very last minute, I scoured Trip Advisor for a similar experience, and found Austin Detours. The tour was about to start, so I ran (yes, ran) through the 90+ degree Texas heat to arrive on time. My guide, David, was incredible, very interesting to listen to, and took us all around Austin. I really felt like I attained a better understanding for the city. He even took our picture at different spots, and the sweet treat was delightful. The only thing I didn't love was that the elder couple on the tour with me rambled about their political leanings, which I didn't agree with at all and I struggled to keep my mouth shut, but David did such a good job of delicately leading them off the topic on multiple occasions. Their tour is super reasonably priced, a value, really. I'd recommend them to anyone visiting Austin for the first time.

Why in the hell do people not tip tour guides? I can see if they suck, or the trip sucked... but neither of these things were true about this trip. Shame on all of the tight people who were in this trip with us. And shame on you if you can't give a few bucks to your tour guide! (End bitch session) As most tours, what can make or break a tour is the guide. In this case, ours was great! I apologize that I can remember her name, but I did attach a picture. So if you get her, you'll be entertained, informed and happy when the tour is finished! On our vacation we also did a similar (but larger) trip in San Antonio, and this one (Austin) was way better. I'm sure the City of Austin would say it's because Austin is more interesting, which may be true! But I'll say the small group and fun guide made this the winner.

Multiple phone calls to the tour company with no response. I hate to leave bad reviews but this was so disappointing. We really were looking forward to this, and specifically came to Austin for tubing (versus the other idea for a trip we had which was the beach. In hindsight, we should've flown to California instead. No one would be able to forget us that way.) Other companies had their groups successfully picked up and whisked away by their tour vans. (austin detours was one). We flew here and bought a 12 pack for 2 of us and ended up lugging around cans of beer through downtown Austin for no reason. If our trip was a little bit longer this might be less disappointing. However, I couldn't recommend this company. Unless you wanted to wait an hour for zero reason at all. At least if I booked Austin detours I'd be on the river. It just makes me so sad thinking about the multiple groups of us sitting around at that bar waiting for essentially no reason and no communication. Do not. Book. The river raft.

Drove around for far longer than I wanted to admit, and ended up parking up on 10th street. No problem, the weather was chilly, but nice in the sun, and much to see during the walk down to Van Zandt. Got there a bit early, so we explored Rainy Street as well. I must say, Rainy definitely got my appetite going! Check-in was simple: you walk into the hotel, get scanned in, get a wrist band and bag, join the line, and once 3:00 hits, up the stairs you go. There's no map nor instructions; you really just walk around and choose how you want to experience the event. My take on the experience overall was that it was simply controlled chaos. It was a dense crowd, and a lot of shoulder rubbing, but everyone there was super nice and really just there for a good time. And good times were had. 16 competing chefs, plus drink and cheese stations galore! The food was excellent and our favorites included the dishes from Banger's, Black's, and Juliet. And although not part of the competition, Contigo's smoked leg of lamb was so good, and deserved votes as well! As for the drinks, we loved the gin and tonic from Roxor. We also managed to get to the front of the pack to watch the butcher demo from Salty Sow's Chef Marmulstein. He definitely knows his stuff and gave a captivating presentation. In the end, my stomach was near exploding and pretty much had to skip dinner. The event was super fun, so very Austin, and highly recommended! Some tips for next time. Don't rush! None of the stations ran out of food. Also if you're here with a friend, maybe share the first round of samples and go for seconds at the ones you liked the most. That way, you get to sample more non-lamb dishes and won't walk out two pounds heavier.
