When everyone knows just how incredible the burgers are here, I may never get to devour one again (I hate long lines). But this ain't about me. It's about the crew at Changz and the magic they're making on that grill, and how they should be richly rewarded for it, packed with hungry customers who become raving fans, and this ultimately leads to more Changz Canteens to meet the demand. And when (not if) that happens, we all win. Here's what you need to know. The burgers at Changz are delicious, perfectly sized and cooked, customizable in a bunch of ways (add more patties, bacon, chicken, etc.), toasted bun, and you will be sad after taking that last bite because it's gone now. Sad in the very best way, with burger joy in your gut. Perhaps also due to their excellent skinny Maccas-style french fries and/or a $5 can of good beer. Total for two world-class burgers, two beers, big ol' basket of fries was around $30. Slam dunk. The servers are friendly and efficient, interior fits around 40 people and a couple sidewalk tables make room for more. Get here before 7pm, on a Saturday anyway, and your night is off to an excellent start -- just like Changz itself. He was also the head chef at Easey's when they first opened. Knowing the burgers were top notch the last time he cooked me up the storm, I knew before heading to Changz Canteen that this burger was going to be up there with the best. The soft buns, the melt in your mouth patties, the juicy chicken, crunchy bacon and a nice kick with their house made chilli sauce, this burger was exactly what I was expecting. The best thing about this burger is it actually had no salad, it had the basics and they were done right. Changz Canteen is the perfect addition to Elsternwick, there isn't a whole lot of choice in the area in terms of burgers and being walking distance from Caulfield Grammar I am sure the kids will be packing this place after school. Make sure Changz Canteen is your burger list. It is a place definitely worth a visit.

We went inside and ordered the 'Supreme burger' with an added beef patty, the 'Bacon Feast burger' with an extra beef patty, bacon and cheese fries, and a vanilla and Nutella milkshake. Everything was reasonably priced, as majority of the pricing was the average of other competitors. We took a seat outside to wait. The shakes were brought out first. Both of them looked amazing - very simplistic in comparison to the crazy freakshakes on the market, but still great. Both flavours were creamy, rich and thick. The Nutella parfait on top of the shake was DELICIOUS. We could not get enough of it. Soon after, the bacon and cheese fries came out. It is a fairly small serving, but just enough to accompany a large burger. They were hot and crispy, and the chips were a thick cut. We loved the cheese sauce and bacon bits. This side was very impressive. Then our burgers followed. They looked great, particularly the 'Bacon Feast burger'. Despite the attractive aesthetic, we were unfortunately left slightly disappointed. The beef patties were cooked well, and we loved the fact that they weren't greasy or heavy - but to us they tasted a little bland, like there was a lack of seasoning and slight dryness. The cheese was melted well, and the bacon tasted nice. The 'Supreme burger' was also a bit of a letdown, having the same beef issue. We were hoping the avocado and aioli could offer some salvage but they didn't. Definitely not the worst burgers we've had, but there was room for improvement in our perspective. We are looking forward to going back to the Burger Business to give them another go, as their staff were great, and their shakes and sides were phenomenal.
