If you live in town or are walking down the highstreet and need a card it's worth popping in, but to be honest I'll usually pick up cards from tesco along with my shopping. I'd expect there to be some more welsh cards to capitalise on the loaction, perhaps postcards and welsh gifts for tourists too. For welsh gifts you're better off at Siop Eryri across the road. For welsh cards, look in the old market hall. It's not a bad shop, and the staff are nice, but I fail to see what they offer that isn't done better and/or cheaper by a number of other places.

Luckily we had booked this time , as it was rammed..this place needs to expand as I found it especially suffocating today...all the tables and chairs are crammed together, so their waitresses have to be anorexic to work here...I'm.not kidding.. Sitting down I had a gander at the drinks menu..this was very limited..when I asked for a white wine spritza the waitress looked at me baffled and suggested i could make my own as they don't do them.. The food consisted of burgers, lasagne, wraps, soups, sandwiches and tapas...well I say tapas but there were maybe five different dishes to try from..the salads are really tasty but I've always had a salad here. My companions decided to order the lasagne to be later told it was not available...(why was this information not provided when we first Sat down) so we all opted for a veggie burger.. When it arrived it was pleasant ..but I have had worse I have had better..also the chips were not home made... Snaffling this we chose the lemon and a caramel cheesecake to finish. Here we had to wait for ages for our plates to be cleared because the staff were too busy making out with each other..really professional..and when the waitress finally decided to serve us she placed the fresh drinks down without taking the emptys with her..so our table was left cluttered.. The lemon cheesecake was divine..but this place is very overrated..the menu.is limited, the place is crammed and they stop serving food at 16:00..oh and most of waiters were rubbish..I think I will try Blue Sky again..

Secondly it's let down by its opening hours and not open at night This is a great place for breakfast and lunch with healthy ish meals and amazing tapas with divine salad . Siop Eryri is another gift shop in Caernarfon. Siop Eryri does have one redeeming feature for those that live locally, and that is it's hefty supply of Welsh greeting cards. Absolutely spot on for christmas and birthdays cards for that super-welsh relative. Don't expect to find anything here that you won't find in any of the other gift shops, but you can expect to find the same tat at a lower price here. I guess it's horses for courses and this shop does fulfil a genuine need in a little touristy town like Caernarfon. Worth a visit if you're french, over 60, or bored.

Derimon Smokery is a small family-run business tucked away in a beautiful farm just outside the…read morevillage of Dulas on the Isle of Anglesey. They started out smoking a variety of ingredients just for friends and family, and now run a large company that distributes far and wide. Not bad when they began using the remnants of storm damaged oak trees that fell on their farm! We popped in here half way through a walk - we thought this was a good plan to prevent us buying too much as we would have to carry it for the remaining five miles home! We came away with smoked cheddar, some smokies, venison and wild boar sausages and some potted shrimp - this was us being very restrained! The lady that runs the shop was very friendly and was happy to chat and answer all our questions regarding the process of smoking and the sort of products they sell. She told us about the Anglesey sea salt that they also smoke, and we purchased some of this at a later date. We did nearly kidnap their dog on the way home as she seemed to want to join us on our walk, but a quick phone call at the end of the lane and her papa came to the rescue! Our plan was to come back and make some further purchases to take back home with us but unfortunately they were closed, even though we were within their advertised opening hours. A shame for all of us, as I'm sure we would have spent a small fortune with the car to carry our purchases home!

The actual gallery itself is great, well worth a visit, but I'm here today to review the cafe /…read morerestaurant 'Blas Mwy'. I have eaten here in the past, and it has always been average and today was no exception, it ranged from poor to average to tasty. I had a panini which was well over done and had almost no filling, my partner had a chicken kebab, quite tasty but was very small. The good bit is always the cakes and puddings, this time we went for a sponge cake and it was lovely. So next time I come I'll be sticking with cake and coffee. I'm not sure if it was expensive, I didn't pay, I'm sure it was.

A great little newsagent and emergency one stop shop for your basic milk and bread type purchases…read more Saves the bother of heading into town and probably pickuing up a load of rubbish you don't really need. They stock basic foods, rent DVDs, have a lottery machine, sell papers and a huge selection of magazines, cigarettes, beer and wine etc. A great little addition to the village. The food prices are massively more expensive than tesco or morrisons etc, but for the sake of convenience when you just need a loaf of bread it's fantastic. If it saves you jumping in the car, you've made the money back already. The place is under new management since about a year I think, the owners/staff seem to be very nice people, the Brummy girl behind that's usually behind the counter always has a smile and a hello for you.
