Two Brothers Moving was recommended to me through a friend of the family, who said they were reasonably priced. I call them up and speak to a woman, who was a little unprofessional, but still rather friendly. I tell her that I'm moving to a new address and need help transporting a few heavy items from my old location (which is on the 2nd story) to the new location (on the 3rd story) several blocks away. The movers show up 30 minutes late, blaming traffic (I had been out all day moving smaller things and know that traffic was clear), but no big deal. Gives me time to take a break and get some lunch. When they show up, I was initially very impressed (despite having an excessive 5 people show). They wasted no time and got right to work. Then things got weird... one of the guys poked his head in and said "what room number are you?" Curious, I looked down the hall and saw that these imbeciles were half way up the stairs with my furniture. Suppressing my true thoughts, I told them what my room number was... and kindly mentioned it was in another building... ACROSS TOWN! Somehow they thought I was moving from the second story, to the third story, in the same building. Then the kicker comes. The guy has this "oh shit" look on his face and asks "uh... what are we going to put it in?" Referring to the furniture. Completely dumbfounded I asked if they had a truck, in which he stated that they, in fact, did NOT have a truck. What moving company shows up without a truck? Now, thing is... I used to work for a moving company that was contracted through Hallmark, then I spent a few years at UHaul, so I know how moving companies are. Most companies provide the truck, even if it's a rental like Budget, Penske or UHaul. The supervisor rents the truck and charges me accordingly, or at the very least... tell the customer what is required for the move! Naturally, I had to cancel since I didn't have a truck. I had one up until the night before but their dispatcher asked if I needed transportation (I said yes), and when I asked them if I needed to do anything else, she replied "no, you're all set!" They brought all my furniture back into my apartment and dumped everything on the floor. My couch was upside down. Sorry fellas, but the devil's in the details. Fast forward - I called UHaul up, jetted over there to rent a truck (luckily they had one left, which was short of a miracle), and when I called them up. Their dispatcher was conveniently not in the office and couldn't be reached... so I ended up calling the crew back directly and they said they had to ask their supervisor if they could come back. A week later, they still haven't returned my calls, despite several messages I left. This left me in a bind since I had to be out 2 days later. This was devastating to me because I had thrown my back out the night before and now I was stuck having to move the heaviest pieces by my self up three flights of stairs. I called a guy on Craigslist who also cancelled last minute. I ended up moving all the pieces my damn self, no thanks to this worthless moving company. I will NEVER recommend them to anyone. If you DO contact them, make sure you rent your own truck. With the truck rental and the cost that Two Brother's is asking, you're better off getting some friends or an ACTUAL moving company who has their shit together. BEWARE OF FRAUDULENT ACTIVITY This company came and moved our stuff in February and we paid by credit card. Fast foward to yesterday- they have charged our credit card 2 more times for the same amount without performing any other services. They have held on to our credit card information and will not return our calls about the fraudulent charge. I had booked them for a move. We communicated for several days prior to their expected arrival. They called after saying they had a schedule mixup. Even after this they still failed to show. They never called or answered for the expected move. Would not recommend due to unreliability. read more

Update: I didn't mention in my original review that I manage a 70 unit apartment building in Nashville. I recommended that one of my new tenants use 2 Brothers recently and the tenant wrote me an email afterwards saying "Thanks so much for recommending 2 Brothers Moving. They were excellent. These were the worst movers we have ever seen. No way they are professional movers. These two men could not left or care anything, they Dropped and Dragged almost all my Furniture across my brand new hardwood floors. They did a Substantial amount of Damage to my floors and my furniture! I have been so upset about the all the damage they have done to my brand new home and my nice furniture, it has made me physically I'll. They came with two days notice and got the job done quickly and efficiently! Joey and Christopher were my movers and they worked so well as a team. They were sure to point out any damage they saw that was already on my furniture and they wrapped up things including bagging my bed. They even hooked my washer and dryer for me and offered to assemble furniture even though it was late. They communicated with me at all times asking where to put things and had very nice polite smiles even though they were working hard. I wish I could leave 0 stars. This company was horrible and did thousands of dollars of damage to our wood floors when they were moving our furniture out of our home. They also put a hole in the wall. We had to hire new movers the next day to load the 26 foot truck because they said it wouldn't fit. The new movers put even more than we asked in and there was still 1/4 of the truck available. We booked them theough UHauls moving section and UHaul does not stand behind their movers so we are left with lofs of damage and no recourse. read more

Do not use 2 brothers moving in Greenbrier, TN. They did a significant amount of damage to our furniture when they moved us. Then they proceeded to lie to us about filing a claim with their insurance company to compensate us for the damage. When I called their insurance company I found out their policy expired in July of 2018 and they did renew it and the insurance company said they never received a claim. They lied to us for over six months about paying for the damage they admittedly did to our furniture. They were also rude, sent two guys when we paid for three, and one mover threatened to leave in the middle of the job when questioned about a broken chair. They are unethical, unresponsive and uncooperative. I hope for the sake other others that they are no longer in business. That has to be why they no longer answer the phone or reply to our emails. read more

I bought a voucher from 2 brothers as a gift for my daughter & son-in-law when they moved to Murfreesboro, TN. First of all, they were over 2 hours late. They did a decent job when they moved their possessions but they went over by an hour. My daughter paid for that extra hour with her credit card. When she received her statement in the mail she found out they had charged her account 11 different times for different amounts & the credit card company said they were manually submitted. I had a move today scheduled with 2 Brothers Moving through UHAUL. They were scheduled to load at noon and I get a text at 11 am saying that they have cancelled the move. ONE HOUR before they were supposed to start, on a Saturday during Easter weekend. I was lucky to scramble and find some friends to help but what this company did was not only unprofessional, but it caused me undue stress, it wasn't right, and is an absolutely horrible way to treat any potential customer. Not only am I going to find any and all places I can give a bad review to let others know to avoided these people, but I'm going to file a formal complaint with the BBB and Uhaul. DO NOT BOOK ANY MOVING JOBS WITH TWO BROTHERS MOVING COMPANY....PERIOD. This was the most unprofessional experience I have ever had. Not just with a moving company, but with any company that ever existed. My husband and I relocated to Nashville from Philadelphia and hired Two Brothers Moving a month and a half in advance to the day we moved in. We received FOUR confirmations about our unloading date and time. I hired four men for two hours to unload our 17 foot truck and two cars that were packed to the rim. 45 MINUTES BEFORE THE MOVERS WERE EXPECTED TO ARRIVE we received a phone call stating that because we only had a 17 foot truck and two cars that we would not need four men, but two men rather. I stated that I had HIRED and PAID for four men and if they finished sooner than two hours then that would be spectacular, but that is what I paid for. We were then told that they actually ONLY had two men available because they overbooked that morning. I was furious as we had just received confirmation for our reservation just two days prior. I informed the secretary who had called me that we expected the four movers we hired. Things only got worse. ONE MOVER SHOWED UP OVER 30 MINUTES LATE. ONE. ONE MOVER. YES, YOU READ THIS CORRECTLY. We hired four movers, and one showed up. The mover that presented was hearing impaired and could not effectively communicate to us why only he showed up. I attempted to contact the company for several hours and left countless messages asking to be called back to discuss the terrible service we were receiving but I did not receive a call back until hours later. I received a call back from the secretary who had called me that morning saying that her manager was "so apologetic" and "so embarrassed" over what had happened. I demanded to speak to the said manager but was told they were busy with other customers. I explained that this should be the priority at this moment considering the terrible experience I was receiving. By the end of the move, my husband and I had pulled almost every single muscle in our bodies. I suffer from severe asthma and the heat was upwards of 98 degrees that morning. I cannot express how despicable this company is. I would not even choose to actually consider them a "company" because they're pathetic. To top everything off, I never received a call back from the manager who was "so embarrassed" over our lack of service despite my continued attempts. read more

HORRIBLE!!! I bought the LivingSocial deal for 4 guys & 2 hrs of moving. When I called to set up the move, I asked the lady if I just pay the hourly rate if the move takes longer than 2 hrs, and she said yes & told me the hourly rate. I said that was fine & that it'd probably take 3-4 hrs. My appointment was at 8am this morning. 8:10 arrives & no movers. I had to call to find out where they were. Turns out, the owner was sick, so the movers were running late. 9:15 arrives, and 3 people show up. I paid for 4. They said I'd only be charged for the 3 person rate. No problem. 2 of the 3 movers were deaf, so Mario had to write everything down so they'd understand. The one deaf guy, who I found out is the owner's father, said it'd probably take 3 hrs. Great. Well, 2 hrs go by, and the father of the owner told Mario they had to leave. I told Mario that the lady said that I just pay the hourly rate if it took longer than the 2 hrs I paid for on LivingSocial. He said no, they had 4-5 more customers to get to. Who schedules 5-6 moves in 1 day with only 3 people?! So, Mario said I could call the main number (a woman, can't remember her name) & discuss it with her. Well, I must have called 10-15 times. Guess what? No answer. So, the two deaf people straight up walk out of my apartment & get back in their truck and left Mario to tell me they were leaving. No apology. No trying to see what they could do. Nothing. I had half an apartment left of stuff to take down 3 floors & nobody to help me, not to mention that it would all still need to be unloaded. I had to frantically call people to see if anyone could help. What should have taken 4 hrs ended up taking 13 hrs. What kind of reputable business just leaves a person with a half-loaded truck?!? I took a leap of faith & bought the LivingSocial deal after reading all the good reviews. I got what I paid for. Garbage. I knew I should have went with a more reputable company. I hired two brother moving to come clean my house as I was moving out. I didn't know what to expect, but did notice they belonged to BBB, which encouraged my confidence. I couldn't have been more pleased. The 2 ladies worked extremely hard and the house looked great. The paid attention to every detail and worked diligently and efficiently to clean the entire house top to bottom, including drawers, cabinets, fridge, stove, floors, windows...I mean everything! Very pleased. These guys are complete professionals, extremely careful, and very much on the bounce... they never stop moving. With a crew of two, they had my 26-foot Penske truck (I rented it, they provided the labor) loaded and then unloaded again inside of three hours, and they got our (HEAVY) front load washer upstairs and into the safety pan without dinging the first wall, nor cracking the pan. Packed all of our stuff carefully, brought plenty of their own furniture pads and tie-downs. A+++++++++, would work with again. read more

ABSOLUTELY AVOID! I obviously should have read these reviews before going through movinghelpers.com to hire moving help. Two men showed up and worked hard but they were not equipped correctly and manhandled all the antique furniture pieces my parents own. The load would have been complete in four hours if the promised help had arrived. We sat and waited over three hours before being told at 5pm the others were not going to show up. This was after talking to the manager on the phone and being assured they were on their way. The two men tried to move the sentimental and valuable piano and dropped it on the stairs, breaking bricks on the stairs and damaging the underside of the piano. The heaviest piece could not be loaded as promised. Because of the wait, we were on the road much later than expected and didn't arrive to our destination until after 11pm. We had to pay for another mover to pick up the heavy piece and move it. This cost us an additional $950. I requested a response from the company and asked for reimbursement of $400. It was such an easy move! From calling for a quote to receiving my belongings I was met with kind and professional people. They communicated very well throughout the moving process. I am pleased to say that they are very reasonably priced. They were accommodating as they actually loaded items from a storage unit and drove long distance to where I was, such great service! Do not use this company. Pre-paid for 4 hours, they worked 61 minutes. Was assured before, during and after, by the workers and front office that the charge could be resolved no problem.
