I'm very glad they use a classroom model (unlike in-home daycares) so kids can treat "daycare" like "school:. Akira even got enrolled in their optional gymnastics program! It's been a great place to see her grow. I cannot speak highly enough of the staff. Frankly, the staff is the reason I chose First School over the other daycares I considered. My first staff interaction was with Ms. Vanessa - who manages the front desk and enrollment. Ms Vanessa is the one who gave me the tour and introduced me to the teachers who would be working with my daughter. She spent about 20 mins one-on-one with me before I even committed to sending my child to this school. It was a great introduction! All the teachers are wonderful. Ms Jenn, Ms Trina, Ms. Marlene, Ms. Myra - just to name a few. They are calm, kind, and gentle. And - unlike her last school - they don't have a ton of turn over with a new teacher every 2 months. First School has a built a real community and I'm so glad my daughter gets to be a part of it.

This school ruined my permanent grades in my freshmen year. My math class was subbed for the first…read more2-3 months of the year by a few different subs each with no experience in teaching math class in anyway and it most definitely showed. My geology class was being taught astrology with no use of the text book because the teacher decided since it was his last year he would not use the core of learning and make up his own lessons with no textbook to study with(Mr.Dunphy). Each of the math substitutes were very open on not understanding the content they were teaching us and that most definitely showed as well. I'm now a junior and am still suffering because I of the blatant laziness shown by the teachers. On top of all of this the football team is completely brain dead. All that registers through there thick skulls is the useless bell that they lost cause the coaches suck too. As well as this school being very unsanitary. Rats infest the campus you will most likely be greeted by one on the way to the complete shite art course they provide. I can provide a video of this as well. Reconsider this school for your child or yourself because trust that they will not consider your future or your well being at all during your time spent. The unneeded attitude expressed by most of the teachers towards the students every day is tiring. There wasn't a single day I didn't have a sour interaction with an adult. These are adults are in work spaces but are to ignorant to realize what they signed up for. They are starting full arguments with 14-17 year old kids. The school can't control the racist students inherently but some action could be taken but would never happen because the school like I said does not consider your well being what so ever. I wouldn't consider this pathetic attempt at a school a school at all.

Both were falling behind not getting much attention with large class sizes. We transferred midyear to Joshua Springs and immediately my kids were given lots of one on one attention and were able to catch up and even began excelling in areas they were struggling. The staff at the school really truly cares about the kids and seeing them succeed while building their self-esteem. I am very thankful to have been able to put my kids here and I highly recommend this school to anybody who wants a good education for their children.

The program provides a curriculum that enables pre school students to learn key skills prior to entering kindergarten. My twin girls started at this facility at age 4 and within two weeks knew how to write their names. This program also offers half day programs for parents who need only partial care for their little ones. Knott's sky is by far the best child care facility in the 29 area.

I went there to earn a certificate and I only had one course to go to fulfill the 15 units when they dropped the program. A few years later they brought it back and I was able to take that one course and get the certificate. I asked more than once why they dropped the program in the first place and never got an answer. They had to have a reason and should have just been honest with me. If you can, go to College of the Desert in Palm Desert instead of CMC in Joshua Tree. COD has better instructors and offers more degrees, certificates and individual courses.
