This school ruined my permanent grades in my freshmen year. My math class was subbed for the first 2-3 months of the year by a few different subs each with no experience in teaching math class in anyway and it most definitely showed. My geology class was being taught astrology with no use of the text book because the teacher decided since it was his last year he would not use the core of learning and make up his own lessons with no textbook to study with(Mr.Dunphy). Each of the math substitutes were very open on not understanding the content they were teaching us and that most definitely showed as well. I'm now a junior and am still suffering because I of the blatant laziness shown by the teachers. On top of all of this the football team is completely brain dead. All that registers through there thick skulls is the useless bell that they lost cause the coaches suck too. As well as this school being very unsanitary. Rats infest the campus you will most likely be greeted by one on the way to the complete shite art course they provide. I can provide a video of this as well. Reconsider this school for your child or yourself because trust that they will not consider your future or your well being at all during your time spent. The unneeded attitude expressed by most of the teachers towards the students every day is tiring. There wasn't a single day I didn't have a sour interaction with an adult. These are adults are in work spaces but are to ignorant to realize what they signed up for. They are starting full arguments with 14-17 year old kids. The school can't control the racist students inherently but some action could be taken but would never happen because the school like I said does not consider your well being what so ever. I wouldn't consider this pathetic attempt at a school a school at all. read more

Twentynine Palms High School - Middle Schools & High Schools Near Me - Twentynine Palms, California

I accidently crafted a "Band Room" review when I meant for it to be for the High School in general. So enjoy my copy and paste job below. So the education (they didn't teach MLA format in English!) at this School is not the highest that there is--- but I love it so! I think the student body (class of 02') is a tight knit unit. I still keep in touch with like 30 of my classmates. Even though I moved in my Sophmore year and 29 HS is not my Alma Mater. Technically speaking. If your child has to attend this School you really don't have any better options other than home schooling. Twentynine Palms in itself is a little blink and you'll miss it sort of town. Given that your friends are all that you have (in a place like that) it makes all the students very welcoming. If you think about it every 2-3 years the bulk of the students move. So all the long term residents are very comfortable with introducing themselves to new people. On my first day I was overwhelmed (but relieved) with all the people that knew straight off the bat that I was new. School buses pick up the kids out in town. Given that there is nothing to do in town I would recommend joining a sport team before School starts. Almost all of the kids play Sports. So it is a good way to meet others before the 1st day of School. read more
