We had a pretty brutal experience with Two Men and a Truck out of Santa Rosa. We hired them to move a built-in refrigerator from Petaluma to Napa, and remove our old built-in. These fridges are HUGE, 1,000+ pounds, and require some serious muscle and/or equipment to move. They literally showed up with two guys (one of which was still training and couldn't be that helpful to the main mover), a hand truck dolly, and a ramp. At first they couldn't get the new fridge in the truck (because it was a ramp and a manual dolly). They needed a lift, and at least one other guy. They called their manager who was on his way and giving them some pointers, but he got a flat tire en route. After about an hour and 30 minutes they go it in the truck. When they arrived at our house to remove the old fridge and bring in the new one, they struggled to get the old fridge out, to get the new one out of the truck, and to get the old one back in the truck. My husband had to help all throughout the process, even calling a neighbor to help at the end to get the fridge in the truck to leave. Literally, I have pictures of my husband, our neighbor, and the two guys from the company moving the fridge. All fine and dandy if we didn't pay over $800 for the service. Not to mention one of the movers who was bearing pretty much all of the weight almost lost a finger and certainly probably needed stitched after sustaining an injury. I had a really great experience with the woman I spoke with and scheduled with on the phone, and the guys they sent were nice and hardworking. BUT it was scheduled as a built-in refrigerator move and they did not send these guys equipped for that job. Additionally, we weren't offered any discount or refund even though my husband manually helped with the entire move, and called in additional help. I did give it two stars because this wasn't the moving guys fault, but more of an operational issue. I actually felt terrible for them that they were in that position. read more

I called weeks ago to get estimates and Justin was wonderful. We discussed doing my small job in about 2 hours. I told him I would definitely have more boxes as I begin to actually pack. But he didn't think they would increase the time of the job.I was going to book as soon as I knew the dates. I later talked to Mallory about a question I had and she was wonderful. I called the other day to book my move and got a very horrible woman named Janae. She eluded that the notes by Justin said I didn't list all my stuff to be moved.She said " moving is expensive" about 4 times and that my move could add up to $1,200-$2,000 because more items cost more to move. I called after to cancel because I was worried about the actual cost and asked to talk to a manager to find out where the communication problem originated. She insisted I talk to her only. She said she is the acting manager and that the manager was busy. She argued back and forth and then tried to make me out to be a problem customer. I was literally in tears after both times I spoke to her. I have NEVER been treated so horribly and disrespectfully. I only wanted to make the company aware of this treatment in case they are losing business because of this employee. read more

Second time in the last six months, I've used this company. These two young men were so professional, so kind so helpful and had best regard for my belongings. I would recommend this company at any time. I know this move was easier than the last one. I could for anything better. They were and had lovely smiles to greet me. The price went up a smidge from the last time, but I understand the reasoning. It only went up $50. Because my deposit was enough to pay for everything I was did not have any further charges. This was worst experience I have ever had with a moving company. The movers were lazy, slow and careless. They too hours more than they should have. The threw my belongs into the storage any which way. I found one of them sitting in front of the elevator instead of moving things. When the nightmare was over they charged me hundreds more than was quoted. Once I signed and left they credited first charge and submitted new charge adding $200.00 more that the invoice I signed. I filed a Fraud case against them and was refunded my money back. Now after 2 months they have done a forced debit charging me the $200.00 again. I have pen another fraud case against them. The front end of this organization surprised me with professionalism right from the first contact to having this bright gentleman come out to my 3bedroom house to bid the move. He asked all the right questions and had all the answers to my questions - a rarity in my experience. Two Men and a Truck moved my mom from an assisted living facility to a memory care facility. Both facilities had extremely long hallways with a long way to the truck for loading. Jaime and Derek worked incredibly fast and careful, carefully wrapping everything in blankets and boxing up the tv. They worked carefully at the memory care facility as doors cannot be left open. I expected the job to take 4 hours and they knocked it out in less than 3! When some of the items wouldn't fit, they happily put the pieces in my car. We hired Two Men and a Truck to assist us in moving my elderly mother from her home of 35 years to a senior apartment complex. Two men arrived on packing day. We had been told that 4 would be coming so I was a bit worried about them completing in time. The 2 men, (Daniel and Alex) worked so diligently and were so friendly and professional. They wrapped my Mom's delicate antique dishes so well. She was moving to a town 160 miles away to be closer to her family. The next day we met the movers at her new apartment. Again, 2 men arrived (Daniel from the first day, and Jaden) to unload the truck and to move Mom's items into her new place. They were so careful to place the items right were we wanted them. They were both so kind and patient with my Mom. This move was tremendously emotional for her. All 3 guys that we worked with during this process were very hard workers. They didn't stop until the job was complete. We would highly recommend Two Men and a Truck for anyone's moving needs. And, nothing was broken or missing!! We had an excellent experience with this company. We highly recommend them. Charles and Jonathan worked very hard and were fast, yet very careful with my mother's numerous antiques. Even the delicate grandfather clock and display cases with very old curved glass arrived in perfect condition to her new apartment. They were super friendly and courteous to all our family members who were present, and even the next door neighbors, while trying to get the job done efficiently and fast. Once they were delivering the furniture to the apartment, a couple of pieces did not fit where we had thought they would ahead of time. On 10/16/2020 we used this company for a local move. They were thoroughly professional. From the office staff (Taylor and Chris) to the movers (Andrew & Cullen). They gave me an acceptable, competitive estimate, arrived on time, wrapped, loaded and unloaded carefully and quickly. They put everything where I asked them to and reassembled furniture that had required dissembling for the move. The same day, I also hired a moving company from out of town about 2 hours away that could not compare. As I was the primary person who handled the logistics of my mom's  move from Oroville  to Corning.I was present every step of the way and I witnessed FIRST HAND the damage caused by 2 men and a truck. I also made numerous calls to the company to receive payment for the damage, which they eventually paid, however, the company chose to only pay a portion of what mom was due (according to their own formula). I gave them opportunity  after opportunity to take care of moms furniture, to either fix it or reimburs her completely. The company requested I remove the negative review only after they paid my mom what was due to her.        See below for my response: Daniel,   My mom, Anna, and I tried in ernest to work with you and you fought us at every step. From the assessment and price estimate (did it over the phone with a real person since I had a million questions), to the confirmation/reminder the day before, then the actual moving team: EXCELLENT. They moved me from two locations (an upstairs appt & a storage unit down the street) from Oroville to Chico in less than three hours. They were so efficient and required little to no guidance after initial instruction-I actually felt a bit guilty not having anything to do! I really appreciated how they brought special boxes for hang-up clothes, blankets to wrap around my antique furniture, and wraps for exposed mattress. Even a tool box to help me put the couch legs back on! They took note of the special items that were important to me and made me feel very safe and secure about my property. I kept it protected & hidden away in an extra room in my past rental. I recently bought an older, Vintage home & thought this piece would be terrific in it, but...... My experience with this company started out very well. The Office Staff were very courteous and attentive. Especially Kristine who called frequently and answered all of my questions. My experience with the movers was another story. They were an hour late to their appointment and then called 20 minutes after the fact to say they had a "issue" and were late. When they arrived, they were kind but not professional. They had converse shoes instead of boots, wore hats and sunglasses inside my home, and didn't cover up inappropriate tattoos. The move went fast which was appreciated until later that day when we went to take a nap. The bed was not put together so when we laid down it collapsed and both of us got cut on the metal frame. We called the office who told us no one was available to fix the bed until tomorrow at 7:00 am. We fixed the bed the best we could to sleep on and waited for them to show up the next morning. Again, the same movers were an hour late. I wouldn't recommend this company based on the poor customer service from the movers and the negligence and laziness that the show toward personal contents. read more

DO NOT USE THEM! They charge per hour and they move as slooooowwww as possible to rack up more cost. Showed up late and took forever to load the truck even though we had everything in boxes pretty neatly stacked for them. Moved from Redding to Chico and it took them 2.5hr to drive there. Should only take 1:15 max. Then they parked the truck and it took them 45 minutes before they even unloaded the first item off the truck. They spend most of the time standing around talking about how they are gonna load and unload stuff. Please do not use them!!!! I feel sorry for you if you don't listen to my warning. In the end it was more than 2x what they told us it would cost. That is not a estimate at all. Update: So I would never use them again but the neighbors moving out across that street did. I guess they didn't read my review. Anyway it was garbage day so the cans were out (and luckily empty) and they knocked them over with the truck and use part of my lawn to back the truck into the neighbors drive way. They destroyed my grass in a couple spots. I should have called and complained but I didn't want to go through the trouble. I will have to lay down some patch repair though. I'm sure the management wouldn't have done anything about it anyway. read more

I just completed a total household move from Chico, CA to Gig Harbor, WA using Two Men and a Truck. I always thought before that they were a local moving company - two college kids with a truck that would haul your stuff across town. Nope. I'm a veteran mover and this was my 25th. This was the best of them all. The absolute selling point was that the man who picked up my goods would be delivering them to my new home. TMAAT are really professionals. They showed up to pack me with three men who packed and loaded the truck in 8 hours for the pre-agreed rate. They delivered my goods two days later in Gig Harbor for a pre-agreed fixed rate. All fair and above board. David my driver and hsi partner unloaded the truck in 4 hours and took away all cardboard and packing materials as I had requested before the move. Great workers with a terrific sense of humor! The only thing they didn't do was line my shelves with shelf paper and put away my dishes (just kidding). I hate moving more than just about anything but TMAAT made it bearable! read more

They took great care to load up my stuff so as not to damage anything. They showed up at my apartment before I did and had things mostly already upstairs before I even showed up. They took great care when moving my stuff into the apartment. They took time to ask where I wanted everything placed and placed everything in the exact spot I wanted. Two Men and a Truck (Chico) , are the best moving company that I have ever dealt with. They haven't even moved one box yet, but I have to post this up. Due to unforeseen issues with our new place, I've had to call and reschedule the date of the move THREE times. They were so gracious and accommodating. I got a day close to my original date. The best part, no one came out to my house to leer at my stuff and make dumb comments about it . I simply sent about 15 cell phone photos and some measurements and they gave me a quote in just a couple of hours. One company that will remain nameless , sent out an estimator that seemed a little too curious about my lifestyle....... Also, they allegedly could not transport a piece of workout equipment. They had a truck wide enough , but didn't know if it was available. I asked if they could check , but they said it was already in use. I pointed out that we hadn't picked a date yet. They replied with , "I don't know. It probably will be." Then I asked , "can we see if WE can get the truck for that day? " and again, "I don't know". Two guys. The best UPDATE: the day of the actual move went as well as it could despite starting an hour later and being over 104 degrees outside. The crew was nice and hardworking .
