When they arrived they took a quick look at amount of items and then got to work usually taking 2-3 boxes per trip to truck. They wrapped items in blankets then plastic wrap to keep safe or just plastic to keep drawers in place. They even moved and loaded all the extra random items like packages of toilet paper and a bag of canned food. At the new place they laid down rugs and plastic to protect the floor as they moved items in. They made sure furniture was placed in the area we wanted and even helped adjust as needed. After being showed the materials to be moved, he didn't make any notes about the items to be moved, yet he gave me a quote. and I agreed on the price. When I talked with the owner Nick about the method of payment, he absolutely refused to accept a cashier's check. He was concerned about the check bouncing. I had to explain to him how cashier's checks worked. On the day of the move, they showed up in a Uhaul, one guy was late, and two of the 3 guys showed up smelling of alcohol. I walked them through the items that we had agreed that were to be moved. They told me that they were on a two hour schedule and some of my things would not be moved. Explained that I was simply paying to have my things moved, I didn't have control over how smart they worked. They called their owner Nick who was extremely unprofessional, apparently the young man who gave me the quote had mistakenly failed to list many of my items. (remember he didn't write anything down during the walk through and had just made up an incomplete list. Even though he had not been present during the walk through, and have not seen for himself what the items to be moved, he swore his employee had not made a mistake,. I tried to reason with him,but he would not relent. I was only going to get 2 hours of work regardless of how fast his crew worked. Well, what kind of work do you think you might get from workers who are inebriated? These guys worked like zombies for two hours and of course didn't get the job completely done, and I was left with a house full of furniture. Nick showed up to view the proceedings, and only made matters worse. Zero people skills. Unwilling to take responsibility for his mistakes. No concern for customer satisfaction. All he was concerned about was getting his money. Because I needed to move right away, I was forced to hire them again to come back the the next day to complete the job. Two guys showed up. One of them screamed like a little girl when he saw a spider in the basement. He immediately got on the phone to ask Nick to cancel the job. Nick wanted the money, so he told the guy over the phone to go back to work. I had to get a broom to scare away the spider (which by the way, I never saw) before he would go back to work. Later, he called Nick again because he thought he saw a mouse turd on the coffee table. I had to use my finger to show him it was just ash. This would have been funny if it wasn't happening to me. Save yourself from this comedy-drama train wreck. Find a more reputable company.

The owner called that morning saying the movers would be late. Then the excuses kept coming all day and at 3:30 PM "one more hour," 5:30 PM "one more hour" again. They never showed. I clearly told the owner multiple times that my new condo required movers to be finished by 8 PM. Despite knowing that, at 7 PM he canceled my move and told me to "hire other movers." At 7 PM. On a Saturday night. Hours before I had to turn in my keys. They left me scrambling at the last minute in an impossible situation and didn't offer my deposit back until I demanded it. Completely unreliable, unprofessional, and unbelievably disrespectful of my time. I would never recommend Blue Dolly to anyone.

Well, a long story short, I underestimated the amount of stuff we had, and the size of the truck we needed. We needed two additional trucks. I was able to get one from Uhaul and minute men said I could use the truck they came in! They saved the day! Not only did they provide the additional truck, but the two guys spent nine hours packing all three trucks! If I was them, I would have been frustrated and not had a good attitude, but these guys finish the job and were pleasant the whole time. They did an exceptional job! When we unpacked at the new house, they brought 4 guys and did all three trucks in 3 1/2 hours. They were pleasant and professional! I am greatful for Minute Men Movers, who in a difficult situation (cause by the customer), made the move happen to the customer's satisfaction! Thank-you Minute Men Movers! You're the best!

When I questioned them, they assured me it wouldn't be a problem as long as the POD was packed that same day. That turned out to be completely wrong. When the PODs were opened four months later, every single piece of furniture was damaged -- every piece. To make matters worse, after the job was done, I needed a receipt for my employer, and it took weeks of texting and following up with the owner to finally get one. The whole process felt unprofessional and sketchy. I've worked with several moving companies during this relocation, and Minuteman Movers was the only one that gave me such an unreliable and frustrating experience. I would not recommend them to anyone.
