As a breeder, Lucinda is passionate about her litters and is very attentive to her pups' health, development, and early socialization. Lucinda was very attentive to my needs and what I was looking for in my hunting retriever. My black lab has a lot of drive, is very biddable, and might be the most intelligent lab I have owned. As for the clown that gave Ducktown Retrievers a bad review, maybe he doesn't understand what "nonrefundable deposit" means... Any breeder worth their salt will have a puppy contract to protect their clients and business so I would suggest reading it next time, Kevin. As for the appearance of Ducktown Retrievers' dogs, take a look at the pictures and tell me that's not a good looking dog... If I could give Lucinda and DTR 10 stars, I would! When it was someone else, he didn't look primped and as clean-cut has he has in the past. I started shopping around and found this new groomer "The Fuzzy Dawg" in Alpharetta (Holcomb Bridge Rd. and Barnwell, very close to Norcross). I called to get an appointment over a weekend, and they were booked up (that's a good sign for a new groomer, when I'm trying to make an appointment at the last minute!). I made an appointment for a day during the week the following week. I took him in and was impressed with how clean the store was! I was greeted immediately with "Hi there, Is this Tyler?" The groomer, Stephanie, took a break from the Chow she was grooming to come over and ask me some questions about how I wanted him groomed. I filled out my paperwork as a new client, and they took him in the back and started lathering him up. I asked if they could groom him without a bath (since he's good about getting a bath at home, and I love the smell of my soap that I use at home). They said it's hard to get a good clean cut if he's not bathed, so I asked if I could bring in my own soap next time around - and they said "Absolutely!" They said it would be about 3 hours, and they would call me when he was ready for pick up. They called me about 2 hours later, and he was ready to go! I picked him up and he looked EXCELLENT! Kudos to Stephanie for a great doggy-haircut for Tyler! He is a sheltie mix, and rang in at $47, a little more than my old groomer, but they did a nice job, so it's worth it. Especially since it included a bath. I will definitely be back to the Fuzzy Dawg!

Scheduled my appointment with her spoke with her on the phone, spoke with her via text and all the times I communicated with her I mentioned numerous of times about matting and how badly matted my dog was due to me just having a baby we had to hold off on the groomers expense. I stated this to her and she mentioned she would be able to demat him no problem. Never asked for pictures never communicated that it could be a possibility that she wouldn't be able to do it. Etc. Instead, she secured my appointment and waited until the day of when I arrived to tell me that she wasn't going to be able to demat him due to liability concerns. I feel like it was a load of crap because she waited until the day of the appointment, have me drive all the way to her just for her to tell me she won't be able to do it. I reached out to her via text because thats how we've been communicating and I stated my concerns to her regarding how I felt as a client and she didn't respond which says enough to me. I sent Hachii to his vet and other groomers and no one had an issue with grooming him, it was finding a groomer with a reasonable price, which we were able to do, by the way. And Hachii is doing fabulous and looks so good and we're so happy to have him back in good condition. Just wish she would of told me to send pictures in prior to his appointment of his condition before having me drive all the way to her just to turn me away.

I even explained I would take full responsibility of the dog in case her age was an issue in the future. They still refused. The person in charge even sent the poor front desk clerk to give us the message because she was in a sudden meeting. Yeah right! I would never, ever adopt from these judgy condescending people. I have worked with a couple of non-profit animal adoption organizations, and as long as the elderly or disabled person has a backup option, they will adopt to them. Thankfully, another agency actually worked with us, and we adopted the cutest, sweetest little dog ever.

The classes met once a week for eight weeks. Due to the amount of people that enrolled the classes were split in two. After 3 surgeries with Veterinary Emergency Group in Alpharetta (BTW, Absolute Godsend), we were to be released to a vet's care. As our vet was too far away for the frequent follow ups that were to ensue, we were open to suggestions. Dr. Tharp came highly recommended, so we took a shot and could not be more pleased. Dr. Tharp's entire team is amazing. First of all, they were sympathetic, gentle and loving with my injured boy, which goes a long way with a doting dog mom. Dr. Tharp was thorough with her exam and review of all injuries he had sustained. She and her staff gave us excellent care and advice through the healing process. It has been a year and a half and we are as delighted with our choice today as we were initially. After all of the trauma he went through, Louie goes into complete zoomie mode when we get out of the car at their office. He loves the entire team and cannot wait to get in there and visit. I recently got a shih tzu about 3 weeks ago and brought him in because the groomer noticed eye…read moreallergies and possible ear infection so my first appointment i paid for an examination that was not thoroughly completed because they gave me some medicine for the ears and eyes and told me to come back in a week which i did and paid both times. Now a week has gone by since she did the follow up and told us he was good and to stop giving him the ointments they had originally prescribed for ears and eyes. I had to take my dog into urgent care last night and spend insane amount of money because he was in critical condition because she failed to tell us that he's severely anemic, underweight, teeth rotting out of his mouth and now we are at home and they are refusing to pick up the phone, she laughed at us and said she wont be doing his appointment at 11am and its 10:20am and ive been up all night hand feeding him with a syringe. And now they wont even answer mine or my boyfriends phone calls. This is complete negligence and its very clear that this doctor does not care about animals as she knows our tiny dog is literally dying in a heated blanket in our kitchen. Absolute joke of a vet office and when our dog dies because of this were going to have a huge problem. The photos attached are of him at the urgent care hospital last night in the red bed and then the photo of him with catheter still intact is right now after ive been trying to keep him alive until they would see him and now after waiting for this appointment since yesterday so now i have no appointment and probably dont have much more time until hes dead and its all on this woman.
